  1. Ear infection which has already been posted in this very thread.
  2. Crochet is unlikely to be traded. Crochet wants to stay as a starter. The team acquiring would have to agree to keep him as a starter. Otherwise he will just sit out or just not report to the team. He wants a contract extension if a team wants him to move to the bullpen because of concerns of innings pitched this year. It is more likely Crochet finishes with the White Sox this year and gets traded in the offseason.
  3. Was a good risk for Perkins. If you are out the top of the order is up next inning. If you are safe you have a man in scoring position for the top of the order. So a good aggressive base running decision there.
  4. I would rather have Bauers than Bell.
  5. Should start looking into having an opener for Peralta.
  6. Words have been said Brewers checked in on players and are currently looking at players. Brewers could trade for players who said words. Possible prospects traded for players who said words and Brewers will trade words of prospects for players.
  7. Correction he hasn't played 1B in the majors but has played some in the minors. Unknown on his defense there but I think the A's would play him there if he was able to.
  8. To put Hiura's K numbers in perspective he has a worse K% than Russel Branyan, Jose Hernandez and Chris Carter. There is a reason why Hiura has been bad and it is because of his K%. Also he has hole in his swing that covers the whole top third of the strike zone that pitchers can take advantage of and it is not just fastballs that he misses up there it is everything in the upper third of the strike zone. His swing just doesn't allow him to get on top of or on balls placed in the upper third of the strike zone. If a pitcher just throws pitches in the upper third of the strike zone they can get Hiura out and they can easily K him there. Nearly all of his strike outs have come at the upper third of the strike zone and a vast majority of his whiffs come from there also. Hiura is just not a good hitter. He may have hot streaks from time to time but his cold streaks are far more common.
  9. Wiemer has very little value.
  10. I don't think he fits defensively for the Brewers. He is not a good 2B defensively. He shouldn't cost much but he does have 1.5 years of control left. So at least one 15-20 team ranked prospect, one 30-40 team ranked prospect and then a throw in player like Wiemer or a PTBNL.
  11. Have you tried calling the ticket office?
  12. This doesn’t really make any sense for the Giants side of the trade.
  13. I am not sure the Brewers are just looking for a LH bat but maybe they are. I think they will add whoever makes sense. There really isn't much out there for a LH bat maybe Winker but he is really just a DH. Vlad makes some sense here if the Jays are willing to deal him that is but he is right handed. The Brewers could play Vlad at 1B or DH and probably stay away from playing him at 3B. He would be the best bat the Brewers could get not named Luis Robert. The other options are probably Canha and Winker types. I am not sure the Brewers really need a LH bat. What they really need is a middle of the order bat. Someone like Vlad or Rooker makes the most sense here. I am not sure what it would take to get Rooker from the A's but probably more than what he is worth. He is having another good year so far after breaking out last year. He will be going into his first arby year next year so the A's are probably looking to move on from him. If the Cubs would be willing to trade with the Brewers I would take Seiya from them. He would be another power bat type that could be placed in the #4 or #5 spot.
  14. I doubt the Cubs will trade with the Brewers they took a worse deal for Bryant with the Giants over dealing with the Brewers.
  15. I wonder if the Brewers will go after Vlad assuming the Jays make him available.
  16. I don’t believe the Brewers will trade Adames. Now if Yelich is out for the year maybe Robert or Vlad jr could be possible. Not sure the Jays will trade Vlad. Would definitely do something like Black/Quero plus to get Vlad.
  17. Frelick pitch goes down the middle of the plate and weakly pops it up. Frelick should be way further down in the lineup.
  18. Wiemer has no value he is a throw in only as he is valued around the league as a 5th OF at best. Rodriguez wouldn’t be enough on his own and it will take a bit more than you think. There is a lot of demand for pitching this deadline more so than normal.
  19. I think you can remove Skubal and Crochet as possible targets for the Brewers as the Dodgers and Orioles will outbid the Brewers for those two and possibly even the Padres. You can also cross off Flaherty from the list. I don’t see the Brewers having much interest in him the injury risk is too high there. From the first four that leaves Fedde but I am not sure he would be worth the haul of prospects needed to give up. I still believe Kikuchi makes the most sense here for the Brewers. He won’t cost as much as Fedde and doesn’t come with the injury risk like Flaherty does.
  20. I don’t know why but I think this team will exceed expectations. Granted the expectations for this team is probably just barely a top 25 team. I think this team will get a few surprise wins this year.
  21. Marjon was just absolutely awful in the summer league. I don’t see how he gets much if any playing time. He would probably be better off playing in the G league over sitting on the bench. He looked awful at both ends of the court. Piss poor defense and absolutely horrible offensive play. He definitely didn’t show any improvement over last year.
  22. I would love to get Puk. The Marlins tried him as a starter again and it failed horribly. He will probably be the best available reliever on the market and will take more than some think to get him away from the Marlins. You basically have to ignore his first half stats as a starter. Would probably take someone like Black and another piece to get him from the Marlins.
  23. That is a play Chourio wasn’t making earlier in the year. He is really starting to get comfortable watch out!
  24. Frelick doesn’t hit for enough power to be a #2 hitter. I would prefer Chourio or Ortiz at the #2 spot. I think Chourio is better at #2 and Ortiz at #5. Frelick should be the #6 hitter. I like Turang better at 9th in the batting order.
