I think Frelick needs to go back down once Mitchell is ready.

Right now looking at the board some of the players I want the Brewers to take look to be gone well before they pick and the player I would like to see them draft with the comp A pick will be gone right after they pick or there about. At 17 it looks like the Brewers will have their pick of Caminiti (LHP), Culpepper (SS/3B), Tommy White (3B) or Dakota Jordan (OF/1B). Jordan still K's a lot currently sitting at about 28% but OMG that bat speed and power. He needs to work on his pitch recognition though it has improved. He is still raw at the plate when it comes to pitch recognition. Jordan has Weeks like bat speed. He has the arm and speed to play RF though I am not sure he has the instincts to play there though he reminds me of a smaller version of Bo Jackson in the OF. The Brewers haven't drafted a HS pitcher in the first round in a long time. So I would be extremely surprised if they take Caminiti at 17. He has a strong commit to LSU and would require a team to go over slot to sign him. He still needs to work on his off speed pitches but his FB is really good with some scouts grading it a 70! Culpepper is a slick fielding SS who also can hit. He screams Brewers draft pick at 17. He is more of a doubles hitter right now but he could find some power. He has a rather balanced swing which could lead to some more HR power. He does have a little bit of a stride in his pre swing. He can play either SS or 3B as he has the arm for both and the athleticism to play at either. He is a very Brewers type of a player. Tommy White is an interesting selection at 17 if he is available. He may rub some people the wrong way though. Excellent baseball player though and he should stick at 3B and provide enough HR power at 3B along with hitting for a decent average. He kind of reminds me of a mix between Josh Donaldson and Bryce Harper personality wise. Tommy White: At 34 I think the Brewers go with Levi Sterling. Similar to Knoth last year. If the Brewers go Culpepper or White at 17 and then Sterling at 34 that would be very comparable to last years draft. I think it will be Culpepper at 17 and Sterling at 34 but don't be surprised if the Brewers go with a college pitcher like Dallas Baptist at 34.

I wonder if the White Sox would be open to trading Luis Robert once he returns from his injury. The White Sox were not willing to take offers this off season or last year during the deadline. But I wonder if they would be more willing to move him this deadline if they continue to play like they have. I don't think the White Sox would be interested in Frelick, Wiemer or Mitchell and the only prospect the Brewers have that comes close to his value would be Chourio and I don't see the Brewers doing that trade. I think the White Sox would want Misio, Wilken and another prospect or two for Robert. I would be tempted to do that trade as Robert would be a clear upgrade in either CF or RF depending on where you want to play Chourio. Robert as the #3 or #4 hitter would allow the team to move Adames and Hoskins down the batting order. A lineup consisting of the below wouldn't be all that bad and probably increases the Brewers chances for the next couple of years in the playoffs. Losing Misio and Wilken would hurt especially Misio since the Brewers don't have many impact pitching right now. 1. Yelich 2. Contreras 3. Robert 4. Hoskins 5. Adames 6. Ortiz 7. Bauers 8. Turang 9. Chourio I don't think the White Sox would do this and it would cost a bit more than Misio, Wilken plus more, but it is fun to speculate and dream on Robert being in the Brewers lineup.

Draft ranking is irrelevant in the MLB draft. There are far more variables at play than there is in the NBA or NFL. You have to take into account did the team draft someone in a previous round who will be above slot? Does the team need to save some money and take a player who will sign below slot with the current pick so the team is able to offer someone else over slot money. Also teams tend to rank players differently based on if they are JUCO, college, or HS. There are just way too many variables to say the team should draft someone based on the "consensus".

If Myers can get a bit better control he could be a solid #4 or #5 pitcher.

Busch has a Hiura like hole in his swing at the top of the strike zone. Pitchers are going to eat him alive if he doesn't fix that.

When things snowball for Peralta it is an avalanche. He just can't settle down once something bad happens.

If you swing at that the best outcome is a foul ball. More than likely that is a roll over ground out or a weak pop out in the infield.

Hiura's problem wasn't his leg kick it was his massive upper cut swing. The uppercut is what caused him to not be late but to completely whiff on pitches. Even when he cut down on his leg kick he was still missing. Why may you ask? It is because of the uppercut swing. Fixing Hiura's leg kick did absolutely nothing for him. Hiura has a huge uppercut in his swing where he would miss anything that would be above his belt area. Anything at or above the belt area for Hiura is a massive hole in his swing because of the severe upper cut in his swing. Again if you fix the leg kick it does absolutely nothing. Hiura needed to flatten out his swing and he just never did it.

Really good game 7 so far with Boston and Toronto. I don’t like either team but the game has been good.

Even with Giannis Lopez is still slower than slow. He has to be the slowest player on the court in nearly every single game and he is not going to become a quicker player next year. Age has caught up to him and he can't stay in front of even your average center. He has to play in drop coverage and that just doesn't work in the playoffs as Lopez gets absolutely picked apart in the playoffs when playing drop coverage. The Bucks are basically playing 4 on 5 when Lopez is in the game during the playoffs. Portis is the better defender at C in the playoffs. Lopez is no longer an elite defender at C in the playoffs he just isn't. Even when he is in the paint teams are just coming straight at him and winning when they are doing this. Lopez is not worth his contract anymore. If the Hawks would be good with it I would go with a Capela for Lopez trade but I don't see the Hawks even slightly agreeing to this.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with his front foot. Judge has been perfectly fine with this front foot and the same with Harper. Oh look Trout also does this. I guess this leg kick thing shouldn't be working for them. A quick edit I can't believe I forgot about the horrible Julio Rodriguez. Man these guys suck so bad because of the leg kick.

A few trade options: Lopez to the Grizzlies for Smart. I think the Bucks would do this but I am not sure the Grizzlies would. This would give the Bucks a true PG in Smart. He could either be the backup PG or you could possibly move him to SG though I am not sure that would be the best fit for Smart. I really like Smart and I think he just had a bad year with the Grizzlies. This is probably too many players moving around. But the Warriors need to cut with Thompson being up for a new contract. This also resets the Hawks a bit allowing them to get out of the Bogdanovic deal one year earlier with taking on Wiggins. The Bucks get a younger C in Capela and also get a scoring SG in Bogdanovic when healthy. The only bad part of this trade is that the Bucks have to give up Bobby in this deal. Not many other teams you could trade with. The only other option would be another 3-team trade with the Warriors and 76ers with Wiggins and Connaughton going to the 76ers and I am not sure what would be coming back for the Bucks maybe a 2nd round pick or a late 1st round pick maybe?

I don't think other teams really care about what they received in return production from another team. It is on the team acquiring the players to do their due diligence on the player. It is not like the Brewers traded Burnes and then the next day he needed TJ surgery and the Brewers knew about it but kept it secret. If the getting screwed part were true then the Brewers wouldn't have traded with the Orioles after they traded for Schoop in 2018. The same with the Orioles here as they didn't receive anyone that contributed to their team in that trade. Why trade for Burnes when the Schoop trade was awful for them?

Not sure the Bucks can do anything really. Even if they sell off they won’t have any picks. That would be a 5-10 year rebuild and I don’t believe the owners will want any part of that. This is going to be the team plus some minor changes here and there for the next two seasons at least.

Maybe they would be interested in Quantum mechanics but that is an extremely advanced topic even for someone in high school or even an undergrad in college.
