  1. Can I ask where you read that Sessions and Charlie V were the most immature guys on the team? I haven't heard anything and I like to think I follow the Bucks enough to hear something like that. Of course, I read it on RealGM. A user provided a personal account of Andrew Bogut's "Victorian Bushfire Appeal Charity Night." According to his post, Sessions and Villanueva showed up late and did not wear that same professional attire as the other players in attendance. Even though they were nice enough to greet all of the donors, they were not as personable as some of the other Bucks. They hung off to the side, joked around, and left early. Here is the link to the topic: http://www.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=895237 Obviously, it's only one person's observations, so you have to take it with a grain of salt. However, it's actually a good read if you want to find out how some of the Bucks handle themselves off of the court. As a bonus, you can read about Dan Gadzuric's date!
  2. Championship teams can't have the Michael Redd's of the world locked up to max dollars. Agreed ... and for the record, I wouldn't be terribly upset about the Bucks matching a MLE offer for Sessions. John Hammond is obviously a better evaluator of basketball talent than I am. Part of my hesitation also stems from the fact that I've read that, along with Charlie V, Sessions happened to be one of the most immature guys on the team last year. With the addition of Brandon Jennings and the looming possibility of the Bucks dealing their only seasoned PG in Luke Ridnour, can Skiles handle two young egos?
  3. ECTO 1 is available You have to take it. I doubt many Brewer fans would hold it against you.
  4. I'd be sad to see him go, but overpaying for role players is a big reason why the Bucks' are in their current financial situation. Unless Scott Skiles and John Hammond are certain that Ramon Sessions is going to be a starter on a championship calibur team in Milwaukee, I don't think that he's worth the full MLE.
  5. MILFAN MKEFAN CRUFAN GOCREW BRAUN8 UNTKEM I recently looked into getting a personalized license plate in North Dakota, but "ECTO 1" was taken. I decided that if I couldn't have the Holy Grail of license plates, then it just wasn't worth $40. Somewhere out there, a '96 Chevy Cavalier is hitting the open road in style.
  6. As soon as I submitted my last post, the hostess just said that at one point, not only was Tony Romo the best high school football player in Wisconsin, but also, he was the best high school basketball player in the state.
  7. ESPN Sports Nation When reading a comment from an emailer with the user name "braun8brewers", the hostess credited the emailer as "Brown 8 Brewers" from Milwaukee. What a joke. This show essentially amounts to "Let's scour the internet for some stories today and then read them on the air over the course of the next hour. Just in case viewers get sick of hearing our voices, let's have them text their opinions to us and we'll pick some at random to share with the 20 people that are still watching the show after the first commercial." As I typed the first paragraph, the hostess just asked her viewers go to the show's website and vote for their favorite pet. The choices were dog, cat, fish, and hampster. I am not making this up. I plan on watching the rest of the show just to see this train wreck burn.
  8. I could use a good laugh ... who is Alan Rosen and why did he have a briefcase full of cash?
  9. It's a shame that the Bucks couldn't go 5-0 in Summer League play, but I am satisfied with the end result. I'm not a qualified judge of basketball talent, but I'd give them a solid B. How about that Jodi Meeks? I realize that they only played five exhibition games, but I'm a little more optimistic about the Bucks' future than I was one week ago (just a little more).
  10. I was relieved to see Alexander's 8 for 13 shooting in the box score this morning. It was good to see him right the ship, even if it was just for one night.
  11. Great post. The related videos that play after the Matt Bush video are just as hilarious. - "Matt Vasgersian drops an F-Bomb" - "Little Leaguer drops an F-Bomb" and it just goes on like this ...
  12. I didn't shell out $15 for the Summer League Pass. I just didn't think that sitting in front of a 15'' screen in an old desk chair would be all that relaxing. For anyone who watched the game- how was the quality of the video? From what I understand, the Bucks turned in a solid outing on Friday. It seems like Joe Alexander was the only one who raised some red flags. 4 for 18 ... wow. Let's hope that he was just working out some nerves.
  13. I just saw a similar article published in my local paper (Grand Forks, ND). Apparently, the Twins don't like staying at the Phister and would prefer to stay elsewhere. The experience that Carlos Gomez had sounds pretty creepy- straight out of a movie. Those articles are good reads.
  14. I'm thinking about spending $15 on the Summer League Pass, as well. That works out to $3 per game and you can view live or archived versions. Has anyone used this feature in the past? I'm wondering what the production quality is like. Does the NBA provide commentary and some visuals or does it amount to a single camera webcast? With Jennings, Alexander, Mbah a Moute, Meeks, Stoudamire, and Johnson all on the roster, these games are shaping up to be entertaining!
  15. Does anyone know if there is free video or audio available for the Summer League games?
  16. I am hoping to gather a little advice from all of the TTMers on BrewerFan- Please excuse all of my simple questions. I am sure that the answers are second nature to many of you. This winter, I decided to assemble a set of Upper Deck basketball cards. I found a great deal on boxes, so it turned out to be an exciting and inepensive hobby. I would like to attempt to have many of the duplicates signed, but I have never requested autographs TTM before. - What should I mail the card in - penny sleeve, toploader, other? - Is there anything else that I should include besides the card, a message, and a SASE? - How does a typical message read? - It is appropriate to send two cards? - Is the team office / arena the best place to send requests? I would really appreciate any feedback that experienced autograph collectors could leave. Thanks for your input!
  17. Has anyone played the new Ghostbusters game on Wii? I heard that it was watered down in order to be family friendly.
  18. Must have been difficult for those fans to go four months without winning a championship. No kidding! I tend to root for the Pittsburgh pro teams down the stretch if my team has been eliminated because of the blue collar culture. I'm not much of an NHL guy, but c'mon, it was Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final.
  19. Billyhallfan, BrewCrew25, jnatro - Excellent tips, guys. Thank you for the input.
  20. Total Shot in the Dark - Does Kareem Abdul-Jabbar still sign? Where could I look to get in on a private signing? What could I expect to pay? I'm in the early stages of plotting out a basement bar / rec room and would like to have a tribute to the 1971 Bucks. Thanks in advance for your input and suggestions.
  21. A+, IMO This is not the type of movie that I usually see, especially in theatres. My girlfriend and I took in a double feature this Sunday ($4.50 matinees and free refills on popcorn and soda make it worth it at our local cinema!). I was pumped to see Land of the Lost, but Up was by far the better movie. Is it perfect? No, but it is 90+ minutes of solid, clean entertainment for anyone. ... I don't mean to take this thread off topic, but FYI- wait until the DVD release to see Land of the Lost.
  22. Phil Niekro will also be in Green Bay on June 11th to sign autographs at the Green Bay Bullfrogs game. http://www.greenbaybullfrogs.com/news/?article_id=17
  23. My opinion of the first show was mixed, but I'm sure things will be fine once everyone settles in. Andy Richter makes a great announcer. I'm looking forward to seeing him involved in all of Conan's antics once again.
  24. Hey Bucks Fans- does anyone know of a good place to find Bucks gear online? I live a considerable distance from Milwaukee, so online shopping is my only option, except for when I visit the BC. I occasionally check nba.com, Eastbay, the BC Shop online, and Kohls, but am curious if anyone here finds good deals elsewhere. Thanks.
