    They are making the moves they needed to. If marcum would sign cheap or jurrjens will take a 1 year cheap incentive filled plus option deal I could see one of those happening but I am not worried about Any position players right now. Still like 6 weeks til spring training and its not like veteran role players are flying off the free agent list.

    seattle has been floated out there but shot down because they seem to have enough OF/1B already but apparently they are going after upton hard and are "desperate" for an impact bat. seattle is on uptons no trade list and i highly doubt he'll approve them to be taken off so arizona can get a better return. once texas finally lands upton i bet there will be 3 or 4 teams blowing up dougs phone for hart.

    I really hope the bp hats are not 5950. They fit weird on my head and look way too body. If new era could soften up the front panel or bring the corners in a little bit it would fit better. I know I'm not the only one who looks funny in 5950.

    dude has light tower power and a cannon for an arm. i never really understood why he never got much of a shot. i know he strikes out a lot but kinda figured he might have gotten a sept call up or something.

    I thought about hunter as well. I'm just a fan of Tillman. .

    You don't have to trade for only prospects. The o's have some major league young pitching. Tillman would be great in a package for hart.

    if we could get perez straight up for hart that would be a WIN! i'd do hart and a low minors pitcher(stosh/barnes/medlin/ect..) for perez.

    front office should have put out 14 press releases and a 25 min highlight video of the 17 year old Dominican kid they just signed to appease the grumpy brewer fan masses and cover up the fact that doug has been sitting in his basement waiting for the phone(which probably has the ringer turned off) to ring. its still pretty early guys.

    i would love to trade him for norris but what would the astros do with him? they just signed carlos pena yesterday to split 1b and dh duties with brett wallace. i love the awesome catching depth(for once but maldy might be one of our best trade chips. tampa bay NEEDS help at 1b and catcher badly. maybe flip them for alex cobb and a bp arm like frank de los santos, enny romero, or brandon gomes. or maybe both for hellickson(!)

    Yeah because having an awesome pitching staff would suck No, giving maldonado and probably our top 4 prospects for a 39 year old pitcher, who We had before, would suck.

    Phillies also signed John lannan. That's one I kinda think would have helped. He's obviously not a 1 or 2 but he is a very reliable lefty.

    what about hart to texas? they need to upgrade at of and 1b badly after hamilton and napoli signed elsewhere.

    I'm betting Tyron Taylor ends up making the most impact. Im still kinda sour about the brewers taking Taylor instead of Adam brett-walker and haniger instead of Gallo.

    fair warning- if i am standing behind you at a game waiting patiently with my one or two cards i hope to get signed and you have a stack ike this getting 20 of them signed, i will punch you in the head. i've gotten burned way too many times at snappers games by the hound dogs with a pile or sheet of cards. (i dont mean to direct this at you, bobbledude, but those guys drive me nuts)

    When we traded for marcum the new rules weren't even written up. So that's irrelevant. At the end of harts contract he WILL not walk from anyone for nothing because he WILL be offered a qualifying offer because he WILL be the best 1b on the free agent market. And yes, I would have traded hart for Bauer.

    Wow, I guess I read the wrong article. I just read the compensation rules again. I cant believe the idiots that came up with this system.

    the indians just got trevor bauer for one year of shin soo choo.........the market doesnt seem fair. only the first 10 picks are protected, chances are better that its a 11-32 pick. also- i'm not suggesting that its a realistic trade. i really need to remember that you guys cant see me or hear my voice when i type things. it doesnt seem that crazy that a trade could be made with the main pieces being hart and hultzen though.
