    arizona is crazy for doing this trade! didi is a nice prospect but is nowhere near the impact talent that bauer is. unless they know that bauers arm is about to fall off, they could have gotten someone at didis level for less. they probably would have been better off working la into the trade and gotten dee gordon. they didnt need lars anderson at all and the bullpen arm they got is way worse then the two they gave up. even though stubbs is crap this is a total win for the indians. i hope jay bruce, heisey and ludwick have been working on their cardio because with choo in center there is going to be a lot of ground to cover.

    they should try to extend him for another couple years, not trade him. if they add 3 more years, he'll still be only 32 when he'd hit free agency. plenty of time for him to still pick up another big contract.

    Exactly. The market for FA pitchers deemed to be in demand is ridiculous. Melvin needs to be disciplined and just stay away from those guys. If somebody makes an attractive offer for Hart that includes a guy that can help them win in 2013 by shoring up a need, then fine. But dealing him to dump salary makes zero sense to me. Would you trade one year of Corey Hart (at $10 mil) for two years of Justin Masterson? That's a tough one. Those 2 years of masterson will probably cost around 11mil or so. Its a FAR better option then signing dempster for 2/30 or 3/38. Yeah, I'd probably do it. We need experienced ml pitching and the free agents are over priced and not very good.

    If they are trading hart- get our old pal jack z on the phone. Seems like Corey might be able to fill some holes for Seattle. They have some impressive prospects and are willing to trade them. Also, I will not be happy if they trade hart to free up money for lohse.

    Ny doesnt match up. Tampa would make sense. Maybe Boston(they seem to be stockpiling catchers).

    quality reliever for pretty much a nothing prospect. great trade on our end. badenhop isnt going to set the world on fire but is a solid bullpen option.

    i know it probably wouldnt be enough to get floyd but from the sounds of things the sox are just looking to shed some payroll and dont see floyd as a necessary piece.

    I know Floyd gets very little love around here but I think id rather trade for him at 9mil for one year then get tied to dempster for 3 years. Chicago is looking to get a cheap pitcher to replace Gavin. Would he be worth sending the sox narveson and Taylor green?

    i dont think i'd trade gallardo for myers but i definatly wouldnt trade myers for shields or lester.

    if the brewers somehow got stanton, between him and braun i dont think my wife would ever leave miller park.

    Parra has no value at all. This would be a bad trade for the Marlins. Even if they are just trying to dump salary this doesn't make sense. I was joking( I forget sarcasm doesn't translate to type). Manny needs to go and kentrail wont get rule 5 protection. I wouldn't say Manny has NO trade value, hes a lefty and has good velocity. He needs to figure out control and I'm sure someone would take a chance with him.
