  1. You definitely do not need to have the SSH ID and coupons to get in early. You need one. Your ID will suffice. I have gotten in with my wife and kids on just my ID, I have also given my wife the coupons so they can get in while I park the car somewhere off site. My account has 2 tickets. Youngest kid is still free, but if we go as a foursome I usually buy a 3rd ticket at lowest possible price and we find a spot to sit. I also highly, highly recommend taking advantage of the Ballpark App upgrades once in the park. On the right night you can upgrade to something behind home plate for $10. It is NOT paying the difference on face value, it is sometimes a far better deal than that.
  2. What did you end up getting? I did the same thing last year and did the movie night which was an absolutely massive hit with my kids. It was so great I ended up picking again as my blue. I went with the refillable cup. I really would have wanted the Jeffress/Suter print, but obviously that is long long gone. I plan to do the movie night next year if it is something very kid appropriate, like it is this year. I’m not confident in my 3 year old being all that interested in watching an entire movie, but at 4 years old I think he would enjoy it more. Last year Field of Dreams. My 3 y/o didn't really follow. It was just being on the field that blew his mind. It's a very relaxed movie watching. People are getting up, kids running around, playing catch etc. It's sorta hard to hear anyway. But a lot of fun. The movie is a much better pick for the clientele this year. The people who care to watch it that much tend to sit in the seats and not down on the field.

  4. Got the email last night on my rewards, go figure. Pretty pumped. Got the Yount session I wanted.
  5. It's a Cain Players Weekend bobble.
  6. Anyone get their rewards? I received a letter today, basically a welcome packet with sponsor flyers even though I'm not a new SSH. I noticed a line stating "my rep should have contacted me about rewards I'm receiving for 2019." Did others get this info? I have not, but I tend to get mailed things early from them, often before I hear from my rep.
  7. Last year Brewers starters accounted for roughly 850ip. Chacin and Anderson combined to fill 350 of those innings. I feel like it’s safe to say that you can count on those 2 to cover at least 300-325 innings based on their career norms. That leaves 500-550 SP innings split up between Davies, Burnes, Peralta, Woodruff, and Nelson. Davies when healthy has proven to give 160+ innings of sub 4 era pitching. Now we’re talking about less than 400ip remains for Nelson and the 3 young guns. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect those 7 SP to cover a seasons worth of innngs even factoring DL stints from each. Starter accounting for 850 IP seems like a shockingly low number for a 96-win team division winner. We shouldn't be asking a bullpen full of Electric Dudes to carry such a huge load year after year. Not when the entire roster is built and managed to play that style of baseball. How are people still not able to grasp this? The Brewers are not going to have traditional stats from their SP. They're just not. That doesn't mean they have to go get some TOR ace.
  8. People keep pushing this and it's simply disingenuous. Their offense bit them. It was not their lack of having a big time SP. It's stuck because it is easiest thing to say after a cursory glance. Did you watch the games? We quite literally lost the series because our best reliever during the regular season was gassed during the postseason. Obviously the offense went cold too, but the 2018 team was always a bullpen-first team. I think everyone here watched the games, which is what makes the SP banter so played out and lame. There is no evidence, not any, that he was gassed. In fact, the evidence is stronger that he was the luckiest good reliever the team had last year, and in the NLCS he gave up some weak hits that had been outs most of the year. At some point the guy was going to give up hits. I really doubt he has a fixed energy tank that happened to hit E suddenly in October. It's baseball. It's so lazy to pin a couple games at the end on him and say he must have been tired. Of course it is bullpen first, but that doesn't mean the lack of a top SP is why they couldn't beat LA. The series went 7 games for Pete's sake. This is simply a case of picking a scapegoat and seeing everything through the lens you want.
  9. The weight of expectation could very well send this season spiraling downward. I don't think the feeling has ever been this optimistic going in, maybe camp of 2011.

  11. I can't stand Netflix search. Drives me nuts. Hate typing stuff in, and then it always misleads you into thinking it has stuff it doesn't. That said, I imagine most people use Netflix like I do and usually know what they're watching before they even log in. Netflix is still the best value on the market in my opinion. I'm still on the $8.99 grandfathered plan and their original content has gotten so much better over the years it's just crazy.
  12. How is that better than Sling? If you get Sling Orange and Blue it has all that stuff for $40. I only have the $25 sling, as ESPN is worthless to me. I have to say it's been great. Not only for the Bucks, but my wife gets to watch her favorite Food Network and HGTV stuff. Edit: Ah, BTN, didn't see that. I hate college sports, but I could see that being a big plus.
  13. It's another + player on the team, at one year you can't hate it. The roster is going to be so good it's hard to believe. There will be more than a few MLB quality players not on the opening day roster. Cannot wait, even for next Saturday.
  14. I really do not want a 3 batter minimum. Baseball has always been a match up chess match. Don't take that away, which is exactly what you're doing.
  15. I'm honestly just hoping my flight gets out of here between storms safely. I was glad I got the "big one" so my neighbor didn't have to deal with that but looks like plenty more is on the way.
  16. I actually liked most of the ones from last season. I really liked Thames, the Sugar Skull, Ham Porter was cool enough. Not a Peanuts fan but thought Snoopy looked good. Shaw was really well done, with the mini speech on his placard and everything. I'm a sucker for Marvel, but I was pretty happy with a lot of them.
  17. My wife and I are going to Seattle for three nights in May for our 10 year anniversary. What is the weather like there in early May? Pretty nice. Likely 60s or 70s, but with Seattle you always have a shot at 40s and rain
  18. My interpretation was sort of "F you, that's not funny", I'm less familiar with that meme though and not sure how it's used.
  19. 2-day event would still be a zoo with a team coming off the NLCS that still looks to be pretty good. Any community event will be a madhouse as long as they win games. I'll take the trade-off and stay home. Wasn't as fun with short lines at things and a 56 win team.
  20. It just comes down to the fact you don't need a bobble to get TurboRickey in the door, he will go anyway. You do need one to get the person that's mildly into baseball and will go 1-2x per year. At the end of the day their money is the same.
  21. It's a mock laughter meme, I think, I'm actually not totally sure, but that's what I think.
  22. I was initially but Peanuts is a huge part of pop culture. I never got into it as a kid beyond the holiday specials, but for older folks Peanuts was life for a long time. I think it's one of those things anybody 40 and under won't grasp, but I get why it's wildly popular as a collector piece.
  23. I don't know how it stacked up historically but 2014 sticks out as being brutally cold. I can pinpoint the year because I was in my old apartment and my first son was born. I had to walk the dogs without my fenced yard and I remember just being absolutely freezing doing that after work for what felt like two solid months.
  24. No, but the Billy Joel bobble will probably get some people in the door that otherwise wouldn't go, just to get that bobble. Collectors will go, and fans of Billy will too. Especially if it is a random Tuesday night, it is another way for the venue to milk a few more bucks out of him coming in. I still don't think they do a bigger theme night than Peanuts. Every year the line is a mile long. I'm betting some of those people couldn't care less about the Brewers, but there they are.
