  1. Nope. I can't cheer for the Vikings. Its like cold fusion... just doesn't work.
  2. No, but I did change it to something more neutral
  3. Nik Ramirez coming back on a minor league deal. I just think this guy is a sleeper and a great re-sign.
  4. I hope they do something different this year though. Vikes have 3 QBs, so we'll see what happens there. IDK if Bradford would be a backup. I bet Bridgewater would. After the SB, the Vikes have zero QBs. All three are FAs. Tough call on which one to trust as "real".
  5. ok, moving to MN this year (less Packer games on TV) and the poor play for the Packers combined for me paying much less attention to the rest of the NFL this year, but I'm shocked... Jaguars, Bills and Titans all made the playoffs? I'm stunned. If the Vikings make the SB, I'm going to hate having to cheer for Brady or Ben...
  6. I don't like any internal candidate for DC. There needs to be some fresh viewpoints here.
  7. Well, that wouldn't happen for 3 years since the franchise tag could be used. But I hope the Brewers sign someone good soon. The despair here is getting overwhelming.
  8. Rehashing what others have said, but boiling it down to simplicity: Whomever is at 2B is probably has the first shot.
  9. Actually... no. Perhaps one or the other, but not both. Been there... done that... two jobs are too big for one person not matter who it is. Also, I understand the frustration with TT and MM over "only" winning one SB and it being seven years ago, but I think some of us have forgotten what other teams go through with good and/or bad players. MM makes blunders, but he is still in the top 10 coaches in the league. Sometimes a change needs to be made for the sake of team unity and cohesion (same as I said with DC as the DC). But its very easy to dump throw out everything and end up with something much worse. When I hear Viking fans say that Packer fans have gotten soft and spoiled by success, I'm starting to see where they get that impression.
  10. David just made the PFF All Pro team, which is probably much more difficult to make than the Pro Bowl. Chances are that he will make the Pro Bowl after SB rosters and injury backouts are taken into consideration since he is an alternate. But I have to say... I was wrong. I thought he was a stop-gap option that was a RT at best. He as worked really hard to improve himself into one of the best LTs in the game.
  11. I've interviewed my own boss. Just means you want smart people's opinions and the ability to work with people that will be there. Please back away from the ledge.
  12. While they can get rid of the CHERIBUNDI TART CHERRY BOCA RATON BOWL, I hope they keep the TAXSLAYER BOWL
  13. Huh? You do know there is a lot more to this position than simply calling plays? I hope this was more out of frustration that MM would hold onto these duties than understanding all that goes into this role. Evidently the OC only works one day a week! I'm pretty certain that the OC has a lot of responsibilities on analyzing his players and designing plays that best fit them. He would be watching for trends and self-scouting (beyond the normal bye week activities). Since MM calls the plays, having someone he will listen to and trust for advice that can add creativity would be the main goal, IMO.
  14. Giannis is leading the All-Star vote! 1. Giannis Antetokounmpo (863,416) 2. LeBron James (856,080) 3. Kyrie Irving (802,834) 4. Kevin Durant (767,402) 5. Steph Curry (735,115) 6. James Harden (602,040) 7. Russell Westbrook (438,469) 8. Joel Embiid (433,161) 9. Anthony Davis (393,000) 10. Kristaps Porzingis (359,459) 11. Klay Thompson (359,442) 12. DeMarcus Cousins (356,340) 13. Draymond Green (325,612) 14. Paul George (291,495) 15. DeMar DeRozan (259,368) Its a good thing he isn't a write in candidate... no way I could spell it correctly without looking.
  15. Frankly, I'm interested in McAdoo returning and slightly less on Philbin. I love EB for his tough play, but I never got a coaching vibe from the guy. Having someone else that could be creating new plays that fit MM's offensive plan is always a benefit. I'm guessing the MM gets bogged down with HC duties so he needs someone inventive to help out with the OC duties. I don't think he has had that for a few years. As for Capers, I think he has simply lost the team. When he was a new and shiny DC, people followed him, but I think after a couple years, things fell off. Real defensive leaders are able to do it year after year because they are true leaders. Guys that inspire the team to be better than the individual parts.
  16. Done. Multiple times.
  17. Cook might've been a bad example of a good receiving RB, but that doesn't make it a bad idea... We always seem to have the best offenses when we have a good receiving RB. However, I think Williams and Jones showed a lot of promise in that area this year. I never quite understood why Montegomery wasn't better here. He was miles better than Lacy and, but really only as good as Starks. I'm hoping that the screen/RB dump off option stays in the playbook. Rodgers has needed it for a while now.
  18. Wasn’t the only time he played well in the 4th quarter of games? True, in a couple games. Others (like the Lion's game, Viking game, etc..) we moved down field, had a turnover and is spiraled downhill (until prevent defense made him look better).
  19. I don't see Callahan as anything either... It would've been interesting if Taysom Hill was still with the team, however...
  20. Repeatedly Hundley looks ok early, but then a mistake derails him. Then he looks worse and worse as the game goes.
  21. a true leader never backs down from a challenge. I despised Eli Manning for doing the same thing.
  22. Go back and watch a lot of times that Jordy "falls down". Often he is going over the middle and a safety is about to clock him. He is going down because the ball is thrown there because the safety is coming or he goes down because he sees it. He rarely "falls down" on the edge.
  23. Click bait. Absolutely no substance to the stupidity. Just garbage for people to repost on Facebook and increase site traffic.
  24. 60? Goodness, he is almost dead! I think he might have a couple good years left in him...
  25. Same with Gallardo... I don't know why he can "only start". Could be long man/6th starter...
