  2. Actually no. I thought it was, but he has 44 games this year. So here:
  3. What Does Name "Hiura" Mean You attract success and money. You are a lover of nature and do not need others for your happiness. You are self sufficient. You strive for material success and power and have business sense. You possess strong organizational abilities, can be a good manager, and executive by nature. You are capable of great achievement in business and finance. You are intuitive and might be interested in the arts, drama or science. Creative and outgoing, you are always looking for an opportunity to show your abilities, especially before audience. You are very flexible and likes to feel appreciated. You are looking for chances to mix with others socially and to communicate his ideas. You like to talk and can easily relate to different cultures and concepts. The biggest challenge for you is uncertainty. Easily getting bored, you can move from one job to another, switch projects and lovers. The high creative force can lead you either to happiness or unhappiness. If you understand your goals, if you can make major decisions in life and follow it directly and straight up without worry and uncertainty, you are able to achieve great heights. [sarcasm]So, he will succeed, but strive for bigger $$ and move on as a FA.[/sarcasm]

  5. I can see going to another team's forum to see what they thought of the trade. But in this case, it would be the White Sox. Seeing what we think of the trade is a bit odd...
  6. Regardless of if we could've "kept" Dirk or not, the main point I was making was that the Bucks (and lots of people) thought the Bucks mode off like a bandit in that trade when it was made. But obviously it worked completely the opposite. People that work hard and make good evaluations get good players. Back in the day, the Bucks mainly made the poor choice. Allen for Maybury was probably the exception to that. More recent drafting has shown to be much better.
  7. That was more my fear. The stadium guns always seem to run hot.
  8. That would be very interesting to see in a more confirmed matter than Twitter. I saw another poster list that speed for Burnes' FB. Plus it would be good to know if that is peak or working velo. If working velo, he would be right there with Woodruff and would explain a lot of his dominance (just like Woodruff).
  9. +1 Any of our promising pitchers are "mostly" off the list. For whom to trade, I'm going to vote for a trade of Broxton. I'm guessing that he is maxed out right not and his value will never be higher. With Brinson and Maverick, I think we can replace his defense and production.
  10. I think DS is showing that he thinks about all phases of the system when everyone else is focused on MLB level only. Certainly Webb might impact the MLB level this year, but if not then probably soon. I like how he looks to add whenever he has a chance. I think Cooper will be a 270/330/750 type player. Plenty good to be a solid contributor to a team. And if he can hit both lines at Yankee Stadium he get some additional HR Agreed. This is almost exactly Overbay's career numbers. (266/347/429/776)
  11. I have a hunch they won't give up Broxton. It would be minor league guys. With Brinson in the wings, I tend to think it might be time to cash in on Broxton.
  12. But we're talking about these owners. They had literally nothing to do with getting Giannis that's why they got so lucky for him to fall in their lap. And i don't think even the biggest optimists thought that he'd be starting an ASG at age 22 or that he had "best player in the world" potential. They came in the offseason when we'd already secured the #2 pick/Jabari. Pretty much every offseason since has been, well, not good. Then they weren't lucky. They bought him. Sounds like a good business deal. I'm not trying to defend the owners (the GM search was embarrassing). I just think its silly to say they were lucky. Re: I don't recall the talk about Dallas drafting Dirk if Milwaukee didn't trade for him. But I do remember a lot of applause for the Bucks in making that trade. And both players they traded away were better than Traylor. Anyway, my point was that our talent evaluation bad in the day was terrible. Hopefully, the ownership does get back on the same page. I think they started well, but this GM search was a head-scratcher.
  13. This seems to be a list of media driven players (Danny Ainge?) that ended up busting and not necessarily prospect busts.
  14. I never said their MiLB numbers were comparable. And I probably should've said Coopers ceiling was Overbay rather than a direct comp. But both have been good contact, high OBP, doubles hitters. Poor athleticism limits them to 1B, but decent glove. They even look similar. Rogers is a decent comp for numbers sake, but not much else. It's amazing how much stock is put into a stat line with zero context.
  15. No. You can be upset that he isn't lighting the world on fire, but let him play his career out before he gets labeled a bust.
  16. Those watching Cooper know that he has been solid for a while now and was slowly getting better at each level. His AAA numbers are gaudy, of course, but he has produced better than expected from a 6th round pick. Overbay is a good comp, which as we know was a pretty good 1B for a while. A couple years ago, we would've been thrilled to try him at 1B. But he is expendable now. Webb looks like he might be an ok LOOGY. Against the rest of the league, he has a 1.80 ERA this year.
  17. Drafting Giannis caused massive groans in the fanbase because he was very raw. Yet he was thought to have the highest upside in the draft that year. So I do believe there was a thought he could be this good. I also remember when we drafted some German putz that no one knew, but thankfully traded him for that BB legend Robert Tractor Traylor. Sure, there is always some luck involved in how good a player gets (or in Gianni's case grows). But one thing that John Hammond did well was draft talented players. Not 100%, but certainly better than average.
  18. I don't know what you would define at great stuff, but I think his stuff is plenty good enough to be a top 100 prospect even if his results weren't as great as they have been. I don't define great stuff. The scouts do. I'm only replying to why he isn't on the list. Here is how his stuff is rated on MLB.com: Fastball: 55 | Slider: 50 | Curveball: 50 | Changeup: 45 | Control: 50 | Overall: 45 Now, that was probably based off last year. And I've heard some reports that his curveball has improved greatly. So maybe his rating will improve too. Or his success comes from having 4 good pitches and high intelligence on how to use them. There are many HOF pitchers that fit that bill. But prospect lists tend to look down on them because a high percentage of those guys fail at the MLB level (or fail to be a high end starter).
  19. Broxton had an OPS of 807 in away games at AAA last year. Not significantly different that Brinson. I'm sure that Brinson will eventually outhit Broxton, but there is no guarantee that it will be this year. I'm sure the Brewer brass wants to be sure what they have in Broxton before they bring up Brinson (for CF). Frankly, I wonder if Broxton might be trade bait this year.
  20. Stokes reminds me of Michael Reed quite a bit. I think Reed was in the top 10 a few years back? Stokes has a chance (as Reed did). to be a 4th OFer, but he has a ways to go yet to achieve it. And quite a few OFers ahead of him.
  21. Thames 3TO ratio is over 50% this year. I figured that would be sufficient to be a fan favorite. So, it would seem most people think both players won't regress? I tend to think Aguilar will fall off in the second half. However, I doubt he has any real trade worth either.
  22. According to this, Drew is not a free agent and will probably be returning to Oregon: The Rays are petitioning the MLB to still receive a compensatory pick in 2018. They are contending that there was problem with how Rasmussen fulfilled his part of the MLB’s program that has 50 pitchers submit to an MRI exam. It is expected that Rasmussen will return to Oregon State after MLB concluded he would not become a free agent. Also, the Oregon website has him listed as a red-shirt sophomore (presumably for 2016-2017). So if he returned, he would still be a Junior.
  23. Lutz homers in his debut. Nice way to start. Make that two. I like him already! Free Tristen Lutz!
