  1. I had him the highest of anyone at #2 until you came along and put him on top. Darn you!
  2. Good pitching is not smoke and mirrors
  3. Just letting you know here I'm going to steal that line from you for Twitter-purposes. And I'm rounding up to 47%! Thanks! Simply put, the kid is not a 4th OF in the majors. Not when combining that glove with that kind of ability to square up the bat with the ball. He was man among boys when I saw him here in Vegas. The level of play just seemed beneath him, yet not one sign that he felt wronged being there. The jumps he gets on balls hit to center and the gaps is what really stands out when watching him. I've seen it in person and watching him play CF with the big club. Just needs time in the majors to adjust and put up average to above average numbers on offense. And the glove will make him a plus player
  4. Yep, it's a lottery. Might as well get as many tickets as you can
  5. No mention of defense other than "an average arm". Also a suggestion that he might end up at 2nd base, lol. A reminder that relying solely on the written word of another should never lead one to draw sweeping conclusions. Not a knock on Ben Badler, it's just shows you never know what years of growth can bear.
  6. Lol at reading wild speculation of names thrown out on Twitter and thinking the Brewers are sending anyone of significance as the PTBNL. Everyone go take a look at And That's top 100 list below. I would not be surprised at all if the player is someone not even on that list... http://forum.brewerfan.net/viewtopic.php?f=64&t=35581&start=63 And how anyone could be mad at this is beyond me. There are 2 scenarios. One, Walker adds very little, our season plays out, miss the playoffs, he finds a new home next year, and we give up a player who fades out of everyone's consciousness. The other scenario is that Walker provides a huge lift at a position the team ranks dead last in baseball and helps a team that was 2 games out of first at the time of the acquisition, and propels them into the playoffs. Then 5 years from now people are taking about what a shrewd, zero cost pickup this move was. The upside is too great to even consider a downside. There just isn't one, unless you're worried about Mark A. paying a couple million in salary for the final 2 months.
  7. It's pretty simple, when they're not hitting home runs they have no way to generate offense. Especially with all those K's. Without HRs they need 3 hits to generate a run, something they just aren't good at. Very few productive outs
  8. I'm going to also add that this is basically trolling at this point
  9. Can you take the hint here guy? I mean this is getting absurd
  10. Big numbers as an opposing player in Miller Park is how we got saddled with Johnny Estrada
  11. My word is right, that is some serious wiffle ball-like action on display there
  12. Tyler is doing everything he can to prove the Brewers made the right call. He's been nothing special in AAA, and has proven that his attitude leaves much to be desired. Not going to get much sympathy going about things the way he has this year either. Not to mention he's not exactly helping his stature with other teams
  13. Hader was indeed the dinosaur and Chase Anderson was the Joker, an entire collection of pics and each player listed L to R... https://brewers.mlblogs.com/brewers-travel-in-style-grape-outfits-abound-2705a85afbad
  14. Been following these for years all the way back to the start of this place and the Power 50 but don't think I've ever made a list. There's a first time for everything I guess. The way I ranked them was based on where I think each peaks in terms of major league value and my confidence in each to reach their ceiling at some point. 1 Lewis Brinson - The guy at the core of the team they're currently building 2 Freddy Peralta - The Adam Lind trade is going to look ridiculous in due time 3 Keston Hiura - Best pure hitter this org has drafted since Braun 4 Corbin Burnes - Just gets results, in a dominating fashion 5 Brandon Woodruff - Ceiling below Burnes but he's already made it to the majors 6 Brett Phillips - Gold Glove caliber OF and is much more than a 4th OF with the bat 7 Luis Ortiz - Could jump ahead of Woodruff if he could just build some innings 8 Josh Hader - If I thought he'd stick as a starter I'd jump him all the way ahead of Burnes 9 Tristan Lutz - Yes that's a lot of projection at 18 but I just don't see it w/ the hitters ranked lower 10 Trent Clark - Being just 20 years old gives him time to put it together 11 Troy Stokes 12 Corey Ray 13 Mauricio Dubon 14 Jordan Yamamoto 15 Isan Diaz 16 Phil Bickford 17 Trey Supak 18 Jake Gatewood 19 Monte Harrison 20 Kodi Medeiros 21 Carlos Herrara 22 KJ Harrison 23 Lucas Erceg 24 Bubba Derby 25 Mario Feliciano Players I believe will at some point be MLB contributors but missed the cut either due to age, limited long term value, or both... Jon Perrin Wei-Chung Wang Nick Ramirez Just too early to tell, high hopes... Caden Lemons Je'Von Ward Larry Ernesto Carlos Rodriguez
  15. Settle the heck down. The guy has had a mere 46 ABs and has enough airlines miles logged between Milwaukee and Colorado Springs in the past couple months to earn lifetime platinum status.
  16. Yeah, not digging jerking around Brinson and Phillips for a 27 year old who strikes out at an historic pace. Up/down, up/down, and a whole lot of MLB pine riding can't be helping either of those guys get comfortable or aid in their confidence
  17. assuming that garza's slot on thursday is not the next tba, saturday's starter (essentially junior guerra's spot) is undetermined. brandon woodruff threw 5.0 innings on saturday. Got it, thanks
  18. Any idea what's going on with Woodruff? Is there an upcoming TBA that might be filled by Woodruff? What's his status? Limbo?
  19. I mean they've given out Cooper and Thomas' numbers through the years, why in the heck would they hold 17 for Jim friggin Gantner. This 1982 nonsense has got to stop. I hope the Brewers organization is starting to pick up on the fact that people are fine with moving on.
  20. With Broxton taking BP at Miller Park, I think there's a pretty good chance that Woodruff being nowhere to be found on the field in Las Vegas yesterday means he's probably in Milwaukee as well
  21. Not sure if there's anything to it but I just came from the Sky Sox / 51s game and never saw Woodruff or Broxton. I was there well before the game and neither was out on the field at any point before or during the game while I was there. And I sat front row right by the Brewers on field bullpen and dugout. Also of note Brett Phillips made a point to come out of the dugout and give my 6 year old a ball completely unsolicited. Pretty cool gesture. Phillips impressed with both the bat and the glove. Jungman didn't impress in his start.
  22. Padres have been getting offers of teams' #15-20 limited ceiling prospects for Hand. He's got 2 years team control beyond this season. There's got to be something the Brewers could get done here without giving up something outrageous.
  23. A's have insisted on Brinson otherwise no interest in anything the Brewers have to offer. It's popping up on Twitter right now
