  1. Maybe eight man rotation? 1.Chacin 2.Kikuchi (5/???) 3.Miley (2/12)/Burnes 4.Gio (1/6)/Woodruff 5.Nelson/Peralta Pen (6 off these stay) Jennings Cedeno Lyles Barnes T.Williams Guerra Jeffress Hader Knebel Trade Anderson and Davies (and Albers if you can get anything for him) for A+ or AA pitching prospects Let Soria go (cost cut). Z. Brown, Derby, Hauser Diplon, Supak, Ponce at AAA
  2. I hope he can continue with a solid 4-6 innings as a starter. CC seems to have a great understand of when to pull his starters.
  3. Looks pretty tasty, there is just not much meat on those bad boys. It would take about one hundred of these little fellas to feed everyone on this board who needs a portion.
  4. As long as you have young pitchers with options, I think you will see the AAA to MLB shuttle throughout the season. Having a set 12 or 13 pitchers just does not happen with real injuries and with the situational needs that happen during the year. I trust CC and DS to work it all out. That being said , I an going to enjoy the post season and around the new year start to begin the hot stove.
  5. I would like to see what we did in the 2016 in the mid top ten picks. Lots of college age arms with the top ten picks. After Zach Brown and a couple of other tweeners in AA and AAA our pitching prospects are all 18 year old crap shots. I would love to have a Corbin Burnes and Zach Brown type pitchers come out of 6-7 top ten 2019 picks.
  6. Back to Madison as a AAA. Could the new Madison AAA team play a few spring series in Miller Park when the Brewers are on a road trip? You would think being the big leagues little brother would get 10000 to 15000 into the house. It may also do some positive psychological building of the Brewers perception with the visiting players. Like "Man, they really treat their prospects well, the **** don't do this for us". Just a thought.
  7. Everything I've read shows a general uptick in stuff from Webb this year. I also know command was a pretty big issue for him most of his minor league career, so maybe he's harnessed it better? Just general guesses, I'm sure someone like And That could weigh in better. Thanks for your thoughts.
  8. What has Braden Webb done differently over the last month since moving to AA? Last night he was almost perfect in the first game of the AA championship series. Why would the management start him ahead of Zach Brown if they did not know he had a new secret weapon?
  9. They are all doing a good job getting outs any way they can. It also does not hurt when the cost is not the going rate.
  10. Biggest game of the year for Miley today. A win and we draw to within one game of the Cubs. I hope he does well.
  11. Not much love for Derby, being a consistent starter in the altitude of Colorado Springs. He is still relatively young for the level. What do people not like about him?
  12. I started this thread and saw his some signs of effectiveness almost immediately and did not need to be further convinced. He is what he is and needs to be accurate to be effective. As long as he is healthy and accurate, he should be fairly successful. Pitching is sometimes referred to "as an art form". If that is true, he needs to be an artist with a little athleticism not and athlete with a little artism.
  13. Four starts in July and 23 innings with four earned runs. Anyone for dinner?
  14. 1 Keston Hiura, 2B 2 Corbin Burnes, P 3 Nick Ramirez,P 4 Jacob Nottingham, C 5 Zach Brown,P 6 Mauricio Dubon, SS 7 Brice Turang, SS 8 Derby, Bubba P 9 Lucas Erceg, 3B 10 Corey Ray, OF 11 Tyrone Taylor OF 12 Tristen Lutz, OF 13 Michele Vassalotti P 14 Trent Clark, OF 15 Adrian Houser P 16 Cody Ponce, RHP 17 Marcos Diplan, RHP 18 Jake Gatewood, 1B 19 Caden Lemons,P 20 Troy Stokes Jr., OF 21 Demi Orimoloye OF 22 Cam Roegner, P 23 Carlos Rodriguez P 24 Wilfred Salaman P 25 Jess Smith, SS 26 Peyton Henry, C 27 Max Lazar, P 28 Aaron Wilkerson, P 29 Trey Supak, P 30 Chad McClanahan, 1B 31 Mario Feliciano, C 32 Gilbert Lara SS 33 Je’Von Ward OF 34 Jon Perrin P 35 Joantgel Sergovia OF 36 Micah Bello OF 37 Dylan Moore SS 38 Joe Gray OF 39 KJ Harrison, C 40 Phil Bickford, P
  15. Andrew Cashner Baltimore for Ortiz, Broxton, and Supak
  16. I would not sell low on Arcia
  17. With Phillips gone and MM gained Scoops seems out of the picture and Ortiz and either Stokes or Ray for Gausman seems about right.
  18. 2 pitchers and 2 outfielders for Machado, take your pick. Any other rental 1 plus 1 Jorge Lopez Brandon Woodruff Luis Ortiz Adrian Houser Cody Ponce Marcos Diplan Trey Supak Brett Phillips Tyrone Taylor Trent Clark Troy Stokes Jr Corey Ray
  19. Caden Lemons pitched for the first time this year last night. Two innings and one earned run. Patience is a virtue.
  20. Thanks for the info. Never knew so much went into it. Hopefully they can pitch soon.
  21. 2nd and 4th picks need strength and conditioning? Did we actual scout these players? Max Lazar is doing fine in Helana and he is out of the same draft only 10th or 11th round.
  22. Nottingham may spur their interest if they want a young catcher in return. I would really like to keep Huira out of the equation. Maybe Nottingham, Phillips, Woodruff and Ortez.
  23. CBS Sports has this article about five trades that make sense https://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/2018-mlb-trade-deadline-5-potential-trades-that-make-sense-including-new-homes-for-manny-machado-and-jacob-degrom/ JT Realmuto for Huira, Peralta and Phillips. I would probably do that but would rather do something like Pena, Huira, Ortez, and Phillips. If we could get a decent reliever added in the deal it would be extra sweet
  24. Does anyone know what is going on with these two? 2nd and 4th rounders from last year and they are not on a roster anywhere.
