  1. On a different note, I see Maverick Lasker and Nick Bucci pitching in Arizona. Does anyone know anything about these two?
  2. I'm just wondering if Burgos can keep it up next season. He didn't have good numbers in 2011 or 2010 so it'll be to see if he continues to progress or falls back into that 4.50 ERA range. I am not sure, but it seems that he has developed an additional pitch or really mastered that pitch. Does anyone have any information? On a different note, I see Maverick Lasker and Nick Bucci pitching in Arizona. Does anyone know anything about these two?
  3. Trading anyone depends on who you get in return. You don't trade Axford unless you get maximum. He is cheap for years which makes him very valuable. If we make trades, I would go for as much quality as possible. Something like the Marcum/Lawrie trade. One quality 21 year old is worth more than a 3-4 average AAAAers. Anybody remember the ATL/DET Doyle Alexander trade?
  4. What about Vegas, indoors of course.
  5. Mets need a centerfielder
  6. I would take a Matt Stairs career in a second.
  7. Player of the Year: Rickie Weeks....If he doesn't get hurt Pitcher of the Year: YoGa..............Because he is the best Rookie of the Year: Mat Gamel.......Because he gets enough leash Most Improved Player: JoLuc.............Steadily gets better Biggest Drop-off: John Axford.....He has to drop sometime. doesn't he? Questions Answered: 1) Who will get the first contract extension? Zach Greinke (4/70 with options) 2) Who will be the first traded away or released (off the expected 25 man roster)? Manny Parra. 3) What position in the NL Central will the Brewers finish? First, of course, 92 wins.
  8. I like Ennders lineups, but would tweak them just a little.....I like Lucroy batting next to the pitcher. He seems to do well without protection. I also like Gomez batting 9th, he becomes the lead off hitter we wish he was without that initial at bat. vs RHP 8 Morgan 4 Weeks 7 Braun 5 Aramis 3 Gamel 9 Hart 6 Gonzalez 2 Lucroy 1 Pitcher vs LHP 9 Hart 4 Weeks 7 Braun 5 Aramis 3 Gamel 6 Gonzalez 2 Lucroy 1 Pitcher 8 Gomez
  9. How about signing Angel Salome and give him a shot at lf while Braun is out? 5th Outfielder, 3rd catcher always had power and hit for average. Is it worth a flier?
  10. vs. righties: (I like the r/l/r/r/l/r/l/r combo) Hart Morgan Braun Weeks Gamel Lucroy/Kottaras(1/3 not as favorite catcher) Green Gonzalez Pitcher vs lefties: (I like CarGo coming around to be the lead-off 3 times a game, but not leading off the first) Hart Lucroy Braun Weeks Gonzalez McGehee (1B/3B) Green/Gamel Pitcher Gomez
  11. How about a CC type deal that is front loaded...... Year 1 22 mil Year 2 22 mil Year 3 23 mil Year 4 25 mil with a player and team option. Team has a 3 mil buyout. Year 5 15 mil Year 6 15 mil Year 7 15 mil All together a 7 year 132 mil or 4 year 92 mil (if Prince options) or 4 year 95 mil (if Milwaukee options). This kinda reverses Braun's contract so that we keep both for about 30-35 mil a year.
  12. Zach like Milwaukee and Milwaukee likes Zach. I think he would settle for less because Milwaukee treats it's players fairly nice unlike other markets where it is "what have you done for me lately". I don't think getting more than everybody else is his motive. I don't think he wants to "handle" New York or Boston. I think he just wants to be with a winning organization that treats him right.
  13. 2 year $27,000,000 for ZG Sorry, I was off by $1,000,000. Marcum got paid $3.95 this year. How would he get getting paid less? I am guessing about $7.5 in arbitration this year.
  14. One or the other..... ZG 2013-14 2 years $26,000,000 with a team and player option in 2015 for an additional 2 years at $15,000,000 per year. A total of 4 years $56,000,000. SM 2013-14 2 years $18,000,000 with a team option in 2015 for an additional year at $11,000,000. This gives us at least two quality starters (YoGa and one of the above) through 2015. At that point our minor league system should start producing quality arms. If neither likes the numbers, move on and sign a free agent pitcher like we did with Randy Wolf (with a little more quality).
  15. FYI -- we're now going to ride out the Brewer postseason first before re-focusing on a new P50 edition. Plenty to focus on at the big league level for now. Enjoy the ride.Anytime soon?
  16. I don't know what Wren is thinking, but the mood in Atlanta is to dump hm for anything. Living in Atlanta I see the people here way down on Jason. The guy at work said he would give me him for a AA pitcher. You would wish he was Wren.
  17. Gamel, please.
  18. The Brewers seem to have problems with young pitchers they have not seen before. If I were the Braves I would make sure Minor pitches at leas tone of the first three games.

  21. New Top 50 any time soon?
  22. A trade with the White Sox would make sense. They have Alexia Ramirez at short for the next four years and a quality SS at AAA. Eduardo Escobar (22 years old) stats are as follows... 2011 AAA .2661374895513023444917327104138.303.354.6572010 AA .262492022253833227693530.294.376.6702009 A+ .256128464641191073411522991206.300.328.627
  23. The major league free agent options are very limited for next year, so I decided to go minor league shopping Oakland has multiple SS prospects, so we might be able to deal with them. I don't think the A's will trade their #1 prospect, Grant Green who is at AA, but they have a AAA shortstop they might trade who has decent numbers. Eric Sogard, 25 years old 2nd round pick out of Arizona State. He looks like he would project into a Jonathon Lucroy type at shortstop (maybe .265 .345 .385 .730). I don't know what type of defense he has, but as a 2nd rounder he has to have some sort of athleticism. Here are his numbers.... AAA 2011 .2987931555941625371294034133.381.410.791AAA 2010 .300137514821542865652097568149.391.407.798AA 2009 .293117457791342536511835847106.370.400.771Anybody know anything about this guy or know of other players out there that might be an option?
  24. Free Agents to choice from.... Reyes NYM around $100 millions (5x$20) Rollins Phil around $40 million (3x$13) Gonzalez Atl around $20 million (3x$7) Am I off base? The supply is weak and the demand is quite high. Are there any other MLB ready shortstops that are any good that are available?
