    I always liked Phil when he was here. For the most part he played with a short deck, players seemed to respect him (for the most part). He didn't make excuses in the paper about the budget and seemed to work really hard during some black time for the 'Crew. When get got the Axe it was more to 'do something' then anything he did. He certainly was a stronger leader then what replaced him. To be honest, I don't think there is much real-world difference between Phil and Ned (save the 'stach).

    Just typing outloud, but I wonder if Yo will be used in the rotation in Sept, and if there are playoffs he is used out of the pen. I suppose the downside of the pen is getting up to warm-up. Those pitches count too I guess. It's hard to see the 'Crew making the playoffs w/o Yo starting in Sept. However, it is also hard to see the 'Crew win a playoff series w/o Yo starting in it.

    Just a few bad pitches sounds much like the Lindy Infante days of just being 7 plays away from the playoffs or something like that. I want Yo to keep rolling too, but as stated it would be nice to not blow him out for 08 and it is also not real fair to the kid either. Reference: Nick Neugebauer (obvious statement).
