    All I know regarding the NBA is that you have to have stars that can score. Boston has 3. I also know you have to be able to defend in the postseason, not sure if the Celts can do that with this club. As far as Minny, if they decided they had to blow it up, this was not a bad way to do it. Sorting out this mess and doing something with the picks is another thing. Al better work out or they are going to be lottery bound for a long, long time.

    Doesn't Gagne has something in his contract about saves and $? I would think he would need that part of his contract addressed before he was down with any trade. I'd really hate to see CV go. T-bow and Parra is one thing, but with the pitching that we have already moved...

    I'm sure this is crazy talk, but would there be any thought of going to a 6 man rotation as the Yankees have done some the past few years? Instead of trying to nurse thru older arms, the 'Crew does it to protect guys like Yo and Para? Maybe when Ben returns? Thoughts?

    Im not sure about yelling at mostly grown men, but I do think you can play the 'I expect more' and 'we are better then this' speech. I know that @ some point players know those things are correct. If Ned (or the head of any team) says those things, it may bring to a head whatever issue there might be. I guess since we are not in the clubhouse (and there is no stat to measure) you leave this one up to the powers that be.

    We have a chance. Going to race the Cubs to the finish. We can hope that the baseball Gods are just cooking up their lastest way to torment the Northsiders.

    This is heck, but also fun. I hate baseball...till the next win, then I'm planning the rotation for the NLCS. I hate Ned, then I think he is a master of baseball (that may be a streach). Anyway, part of being a fan. As of late I've been fustrated and disappointed...but like many of you, I lived thru 2002. This is nirvana compaired to that nonsense.

    I have the dish and get the 'Crew on 642. It is nice to have the Twins (641) too. Not a fan but do see some AL teams this way. Other then that, I dislike FSN-North.

    His book was silly and superficial though. Why do sports journalists think personal observation trumps fact or serious research? I suppose because they are easy to write, usually the name of the announcer will sell a few books and most readers/sports fans/Americans tend to like to hear the same stuff over an over. Eaiser then actually being reflective (IMO).
