  1. Unless The Angels are moving Trumbo to third, my guess is any More deal to them in a Morales trade would require us giving them a 3b option. So one of Gamel/Green/McGehee would have to be a part of the trade. This is just conjecture though, after reading that they were one of the teams very interested in Aram.
  2. I wish everyone didn't pretend to know what it would cost to get Hanley in this situation. Nobody really knows. Although I guess it is a message board. The way everyone makes their opinion sound factual on some of these topics just turns me away. I guess I should just pick and choose which topics to read and comment on. Rant compldte.
  3. If this is the idea, then we need a better tradeable asset. Maybe sign a guy like Willingham so Corey can be dealt for a ss. Either way, we should spend money to sign someone that frees us to trade an asset.
  4. I think Casey can and should be dealt for a setup guy.
  5. Lowrie , Bartlett, Desmond are among guys we could very easily trade for.
  6. Trade Ax if he accepts (in blue).
  7. Mark DeRosa may be our new utility guy, though I don't think he can play any ss.
  8. At some point it is better to overpay with an extra year or more money if the alternative is giving up valuable young talent via trade.
  9. I'd be somewhat interested if the idea was to put him at third. And I'd only be interested in that if he can play at a somewhat close to average level.
  10. I predict Rollins and Aram.
  11. I still think we add Aram and Rollins. The future still is very bright.
  12. It's possible, but unlikely, that Green's future depends on Hairston. If Hairston resigns, he can backup across the IF and the team may be more content to go with Green as the starter at third. If Hairston doesn't resign, we may want Green to fill the backup role at 2B and 3B for a couple of years and see how he does in that role. Enter ARAM to start at third.
  13. Krod seems more about situation than money. Another year setting up Axford isn't going to help him get ten million a year in a multi year contract the following season. I am betting that he'd be looking at around 5 million a year if he spends another year as a set up guy. So even if he gets something like 2/22, he might prefer that offer to accepting arbitration.
  14. I'm too stubborn to want to trade for the guy that Prince replaces, whomever that may end up being. Its like paying money for sloppy seconds.
  15. I just don't really see why we should jump to trade assets for any reliever at this point, when every single free agent reliever is available.
  16. A double negative isn't the right term for you sentences above, but they just don't really jive. Wolf does have value and would bringsomething back
  17. I agree that there is room to fit both with minimal creative trades. What about trading Wolf for a good utility if that makes 3-4 million as well as a decent prospect?
  18. We must have some pitchers we are missing that are doing something somewhere in MLB now...
  19. I'm not convinced Fiers/Peralta arent upgrades from 2012's Randy Wolf.
  20. Haha! I'm on a touchpad that corrects me if I type something that's not a word. Gotta figure this thing out...
  21. Hopefully he doesn't grab Guerrero too if Rekindle wants his own guy for hitting coach
  22. Who really knows though guys. I'd say more than fifty percent of the trades made we would all guess were lopsided one way.
  23. This whole thing is moot. Of the four areas of the team (position starters, position benchers, relief pitchers, and starting pitchers), the one place Doug won't look outside for help is starting pitching.
  24. I have been thinking about whether Gamel and Green would get him. Under the idea that Doug (unfortunatel in many of our books) would prefer signing guys like Aramis Ramirez and Derreck Lee after Prince leaves, both of those two may be expendable. It's been said that the A's want bats, so those two could work.
  25. Jorge came from the DBax
