    I wonder if the brewers will have extra money to pay over slot like they did last year (Davis, Hall, D Vo, Hall, Howell, and scooter). It would be exciting to get and sign either Allie or Cole.

    To me, this picks confirms Bruce seid's philosophy of drafting pitching. “Our goal as a scouting staff is to build a championship caliber pitching staff and field a lineup that is young and durable that will keep us competitive at the championship level for the long term". To accomplish their goal they seem to like big strong guys with a mid 90 fastball and a plus off speed pitch (Heckathorn comes to mind). I prefer this pick over a "safe college pitcher" that has a low ceiling.

    I have always thought that instead of signing prince the brewers should use that money for Weeks and McGehee. Trade Hart and Fielder for advanced prospects, preferably pitching.

    Niether Parra nor suppan should be in the starting rotation. In Parra's last 7 outings he has allowed all 12 of his earned runs. Hopefully DD with be fine, but if he goes on the DL I wonder who they will call up from AAA. Loe, Estrada, or Braddock???

    Cot's Baseball Contracts didnt have any info on capuano contract. If i remember correctly he signed a 1 yr minor league deal, can anyone add more details?

    Suppan has been pitching fine in felief, I would rather have Braddock on the roster but I am ok with keeping Suppan if he keeps pitching decent. With Hawkins out this give villa, Coffee, and Parra a chance to be the set up man.

    I said this same thing before. Bring him to the big leagues as a reliever for a 1.5 season. Braddock can use the time to adjust to big league hitters. If the medical staff sees no problem pitching every 5 days, begin to stretch him out in spring training. In 2010 he only pitches every 2-4 days,the organization is still concerned about his injury history. That i know of, there is no closer that cant pitch back to back days.

    What was the reason for him pitching 1.2 and smith comming in for the save (.1 IP)?

    Lucroy... No. MAYBE in a month if he can keep his BA around or above 300 at AAA. As for the bullpen, shouldn't they bring up stetter before they go to braddock? I wonder how many more saves Hoffman has to blow before Macha pulls the plug on him (temporarily). Will Vargas (15.8 Hits/9) and Suppan be able to keep their roster spots if they can't hold their own wieght? Both of them should be a little bit concrened considering Braddock (0.00 ERA in 9.2IP), Stetter (0.00 ERA in 6.1 IP), Smith (1.13 ERA in 8.0 IP), and Dillard (1.93ERA in 14 IP) are all pitching like they should be on the roster. On the bright side, its sure nice to see Yo and Wolf pitching like they were expected to. Not to mention Naverson pitching good in his first start of the season. Soon as the bullpen stops blowing so many games the crew could be playing .600+ ball. Demoralized... no

    Does any one know how the current FSNwi tv contract financially compares to other tv contracts in the MLB and how do the TV ratings compare vs the other MLB markers? If I remember correct, last june the brewers were middle of the pack in TV rating.

    That would actually make a lot of sense. One of those two (probably Lucroy) would go against lefties and that way we dont have to watch Zaun attempt to hit from the right side (its almost as bad a Suppan in the rotation). Mid June or earlier Luccroy or Salome gets a promotion.

    Isnt this the perfect situation: infield starters at 1B, 2B, 3B, and SS with two off the on the bench. Also LF, CF, and RF with room for one to be a bust and 2 bench players. This seems to be an ideal combinations for a 25man roster, 8 right handed hitters and 4 left handed hitters with a good mix of speed and power. If both Lucroy and Salome aren't busts they could split time behind the plate, which would reduce wear and tear.

    I personally didnt like this trade when it happened due to losing 2 good prospects that would allow a small market team to stay competitive. But the upside of the trade was that it sucked in a lot of fairweather fans. As of right now it looks as if the brewers have "won" the trade.

    5yr $100 mil is the max the brewers should spend. Even though I think it would be a smarter move to invest that money on Weeks, McGehee, and another pitcher

    The topps 2010 kyle heckathorn cards have a lefty pictured on it in a Helena uniform. I can't figure out who it is, any guesses?

    Melvin woulnt have been talking about moving Lucroy from AA to the majors if Lucroy couldn't be an average catcher. Salome would be first to change positions. My prediction is that both Lucroy and Salome will start at AAA (DH and C), Lucroy will catch 60% of the games and Salome will catch the other 40%. Less wear and tear will be good for both of them.
