  1. I am at the game - that Segura play looked close - anyone watching on TV?
  2. Agreed - like Axford last year and his 22 era in April. A 20-8 start could have been 16-12 real quickly.
  3. Wow. This winter was horrible but this April has been awesome! Way to go Brewers!
  4. His OPS is .14 points below league average from 2013. I don't think knee jerk reactions are made 1 or 2 months in. They are committed to Khris for the year in my opinion. Now, if it is July and his average dips closer to .200, they may look for a platoon mate. (But it will be hard to look past using Schaefer who albeit isn't a clear offensive upgrade - but is an option.) Khris OPS vs lefties is .958 in a whopping 24 plate apperances
  5. Thank you Jhonny Peralta. You now have a worse batting average than Rickie Weeks. Good night! Great game!
  6. K-Rod is straight filthy. Seriously. Those pitches are just un-hittable. 1 batter left (Albeit one of the hardest outs for the Brewers in all of baseball) - keep it going K-rod.
  7. I want absolutely no part of getting rid of not only Bianchi from our bench, but also Schafer. I love having Schafer on the bench. He's almost the ideal 4th OF'er. He's can play all 3 OF positions very, very well, is a left handed bat and can hit for a high average. I think these moves would only weaken our bench. I'd rather see Weeks and Overbay as the guys who are sent packing in order to upgrade our bench. Schafer can hit for a high average? You realize he's not playing in the minors and his career average in 400 ABs is .219 right? Yes he plays good defense but do you want to have your entire bench being a bunch of all defense no hit guys? Because that's what you pretty much got going with Maldonado/Bianchi and Schafer. At least with Herrera he replaces two of those all defense no stick guys so you can swap one out with a hitter. I like Schafer but I don't consider him anything more than a 5th OF who plays good defense and can pinch run. Not exactly the type of guy I need to have on the roster when I would play Gomez every day that he is capable of playing. With Braun aching and Davis looking like a platoon guy with massive splits I think its obvious what kind of bat needs to be brought up. And whats up with the hate from Overbay in this thread? I hope by sending Overbay packing you mean its from signing Morales because Overbay is not the problem. He's raking against RHP and that's all we need from him. I'm with you guys on Weeks and how he needs to get going though. I still think he's gonna pick up the slack against LHP since he's only had 29 AB's and the majority of them were against elite lefties. He'll face more pitchers like Travis Wood and his numbers will start to look a lot more respectable. Just don't stick him in there against a tough righty because we all know what will happen then... That's a fair point. I un-necessarily threw him under the bus. He is hitting fine and plays good D. I was more making the point getting rid of Schaefer or Bianchi would be a bad idea. Overbay has been playing well. I hope he can continue it.
  8. Nice move by Holiday on not catching that foul ball. Lucroy would have scored easily.
  9. lol Maldy - way to advance the runner though. Nice slide into first
  10. Just go back a page: Ya - checked twitter. They already brought Thorn in and then Aram didn't go out onto the field. So it was too late for the double. I got it now.
  11. +1. Lohse would be my guy hands down. Honestly, based on the year he has, big Wily might be 2nd in line. He has nasty stuff.

  13. More info for you http://mobile.nytimes.com/blogs/bits/2014/04/28/security-flaw-hits-microsoft-browser/?from=technology
  14. Another good episode. (And some new material for the book readers as Bran never went to Craster's Keep in the book - he was north of the wall, just never went there)
  15. One thing to note with Cards early season struggles. They played 17 of their first 23 games on the road.
  16. Nice to see the Brewers at 10th in average attendance so far and it's only April. The roof helps a ton - combine with a winning record and the brewers could hit 3 million again this year http://espn.go.com/mlb/attendance Today's game is sold out so they might move up.

They both can play all spots from their area. (Infield / Outfield) Their offense is a plus. Either could fill in quite nice if needed to for a month. Weeks and Overbay provide little value as I wouldn't want to see either get extended playing time.
