    Seattle just made a big trade for a bat and they made a couple big moves last season. Trader Jerry loves to make trades. The Mariners certainly seem like a team that's ripe for the picking, trade wise right now.

    Since when did it become a thing to start saying you got an "offer" to play D3 college sports? I see high school kids tweeting these pictures of them signing fake papers "accepting offers" from D3 schools all the time now. I played D3 baseball. There is no letter of intent or scholarship. If you pay your fee you're on the team.

    I highly doubt both Singleton and Tellez are on the opening day roster. This is most likely just insurance in case they find a deal for Tellez or he gets hurt in ST. Is it a good use of a 40 man spot? I don't know.

    If Click wants a job in MLB next year he's going to have to be a #2 somewhere right? I don't think there are any more top jobs open and it's unlikely one will open up before opening day.

    As stupid as a hire I think he is, I'd love to see Saturday and the Colts take their division and make the playoffs just to shove it in the faces of the media.

    Click came from Tampa Bay after Luhnow was let go. He's not really part of that "culture". Also, Click and Arnold worked together in Tampa Bay so I don't think it would be too crazy for them to team up in Milwaukee in some fashion.

    Eh, maybe Arnold will actually acquire hitters who aren't just homeruns and strikeouts. That will make a bigger difference.

    I've got Dameon Pierce and Ken Walker as my starting RB's. Mostert had been my flex but he seems to be in a timeshare with Jeff Wilson, who I also have. Do I flip a coin on which one of those will have the better game or go with David Montgomery, Aiyuk, or Dulcich for my flex?

    Or we could just ignore the race issue here and focus on the fact that the Colts staff has a lot of coaches of various ethnicities that are more qualified than Saturday is.

    "Smart, targeted spending" So, basically the exact strategy that Stearns did his whole time here? If there's any players that it would be "smart" to target, almost certainly other teams will also be targeting that player and raise the price making it less "smart" to sign the player. I would also disagree that they have a "core" in place. They have a couple top of the rotation pitchers and a sometimes dominant reliever. The offense is still a mess of light hitting utility players and sluggers with more warts than a frog.

    I love (or hate) the negative ads that make a statement and then use that statement to jump to a bewildering conclusion that has nothing to do with the first statement.     Maybe. He came into the year as the starter but couldn't hold the job. Although that whole offense is crap outside of Cooper Kupp. I suppose he could just be throwing a fit because he's not playing as much as he thinks he should. Here's the other weird one. Brandin Cooks is sitting out tonight for the Texans after sitting out practice this week because he's upset he wasn't traded. I can't really blame the guy for not wanting to be there but he was also the guy who last year said he was sick of being traded and would retire if he was ever traded again. He also signed a 2 year extension with the team before the season. Sorry but I don't feel sorry for him one bit.

    The Cam Akers situation is weird. First it was reported he was stepping away from the team due to personal issues. Then it was "philosophical differences" with the coaching staff and he would be released if he wasn't traded. Well, he wasn't traded and wasn't released. In fact, he's back with the team today.

    Election season is the worst. Maybe the worst part is the waste of money and natural resources that go into all that crap you get in the mail. The last few weeks everything we get that isn't in an envelope goes right in the recycling without even looking at it. Some tree had to die just so your lies could spend 5 seconds in my fingers and influence nobody.

    You know those political ads that have a scary voice say "so and so voted for this, do you really want a person in office who supports that?" I get a chuckle out of the ones I respond to with, "Yes. Yes I do."

    I'm not complaining, this was my first loss of the year and I really didn't put much effort in. When I saw who I had on byes I mentally took the loss a long time ago. I'm just glad it wasn't a close game and I was left wondering who I could have picked up for a couple more points to put me over the top.

    Dalton was the highest scoring QB of those available in my league so I made the right choice. Although the guy I was playing against had Kamara, negating all the TD's he threw. And he had Derrick Henry, Pollard, and Nick Folk. There was absolutely nothing I could do. Even at full strength, I was getting destroyed this week no matter what.

    I went with Dalton too. With Kelce on a bye and losing JaMarr I'm pretty much punting this week anyway.
