They didn't ask for a cover letter and I don't think I've used one when applying for a job in at least 3 years. I think I'll just write "Salary Expectation: Yes" on a ripped up piece of paper and include it. It's for a graphic design position, they should appreciate the creativity.

I'm about to apply for a job that requires me to mail a resume and salary expectations. Now I've never had a salary before nor do I have any clue how to figure that out. Also, how does one include this information in the package?

I was just told my position is being eliminated and I will be unemployed next Friday. Quite frankly, I'm glad to be leaving this job but I wish it was because I had another job lined up. When I started here in March I was looking forward to not having to deal with all the job search BS for the first time in 3 years...so much for that.

Yes. Well, more like you as an individual are no where near the top of their priority list, unless you actually get the job. My 2.5 year job search consisted and being ignored and flat out lied to by HR people. Funny enough, the two places that actually hired me have had great HR departments.

I hate my current job and just got an interview for another one. How do I tell my current employer I'm taking a day for the interview without telling them I'm taking the day for an interview. I suppose I could lie.
