  1. Gallardo and Aoki are the only ones that would bring back anything worthwhile in return. Maybe Ramirez or Hart if he comes back blazing hot. Gallardo is clearly the best trade chip outside of Braun and Segura.
  2. Three, Lefties pull the ball tendency would work wonders on hit and runs batting behind..Gomez. Done. Since the short stop is covering with a lefty up it doesn't help at all.
  3. It's Dwight's wedding. I would be really surprised if Michael wasn't invited or didn't decide to show up. It wouldn't make much sense story wise for him not to be there.
  4. I'll take Rickie's current struggles with the chance he could revert to his old self over Scooter at his best. Scooter is Yuni without the power, or any power for that matter.
  5. I've been there twice, including about a month ago. The place is nothing special. Park in the lot right next to the stadium. It's the closest and you don't have to cross a road to get to the stadium. The guitar scoreboard is probably the only thing of mention about the place.
  6. Could replay have fixed this? http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/gameday/index.jsp?gid=2013_05_09_anamlb_houmlb_1&mode=recap_away&c_id=ana I think the rule is clear that a pitcher brought into a game has to face one batter. How the umps could get that wrong 3 times I have no clue.
  7. Bartolo Colon this season. 37.1 IP, 1.045 WHIP, 23 K, 1 BB
  8. Last season NFL games were terrible and it wasn't because of the replacement refs it was because every turnover and score is reviewed. Games were taking forever and refs were making calls based on what was reviewable, not what was correct. Meaning if a play MIGHT have been a fumble it was going to be called a fumble because that can be reviewed but not calling it a fumble can't. I'm not in favor of replay in baseball because only certain plays are going to be able to be fixed. Take Segura's "foul" ball on Sunday for example. The home plate ump called it foul even though replay shows it clearly was not even close to being foul. How do you fix that? You can't because the call resulted in nothing happening, how do you fix that call? You are going to have that problem with any non-homerun called foul that was actually fair. No officials of any sport should be making calls based on what's reviewable instead of what they see and that's unfortunately what's happened to the NFL. If replay coming the baseball means umps are going to call any close play foul or fair because that can be fixed I don't want to see replay.
  9. Bill said during the game they were only going to be in a limited edition. That's probably why they are so expensive.
  10. Interesting to note that the bolded pitchers were not drafted by the team they are listed next to. Half of them (13/26) were traded for.
  11. Two times now the AmeriCorps website has lost hours of my work filling out all their crap. There is no reason anyone should have to spend any more then 10 minutes applying for a job online.
  12. I agree with this totally. There really are only a handful of teams that consistently develop pitching. The problem is the Brewers have developed two serviceable pitchers in the last 15 years in Gallardo and Sheets.
  13. ...and welcome to unemployment! I don't know if that should be blue or not blue or whatever.
  14. I can't see Scooter being a viable starter in the Majors. He will certainly be above replacement level but not good enough to be THE GUY at any position. Right now I'd rather take Weeks and his current slump with the potential for him to be the old Weeks than Scooter at his best.
  15. Who's giving the other team signs when Axford in on the mound?
  16. In 13 games and 48 PA's he's got a line of .132/.250/.132.
  17. He hasn't been helping Weeks, if he in fact is having any effect at all.
  18. Jones is playing in Taiwan or Korea so you can cross him off the list.
  19. betancourt being top 5 in the NL in rbi. i dont think anyone would have guessed that he'd be playing at all, anywhere. Fixed.
  20. Aramis always starts out slow so Yuni easily replaced Ramirez this April. Ramirez Career March/April 258/.330/.454/.783 Yuni this year .274/.295/.493/.788
  21. Right now there are two Kotsay-veteran-corner infield/outfield type guys on the roster in Gonzaez and Yuni. No more are needed.
  22. I find it comical how every time the Brewers sign a guy to a multi-year contract it doesn't take long before there are already threads about what he could be traded for. I've stated many times I hated the Lohse signing but you don't give a guy 3 years and then go ahead and trade him halfway through year one.
  23. There no longer is a time to try and move Weeks. He has very little value after his frigid start and subpar season last year. He would have to have a monster finish to the season to get anything worthwhile in a trade this offseason. You just have to ride out the rest of his contract.
  24. The team has 2 spots on the bench. Who else are they going use there? They could sign some more crappy veterans or use guys from their minor league team. Whoever it is is going sit. Davis and Prince aren't going to be stars or probably even starters so you might as well "rot" in the majors instead of other guys.
  25. The Natural is a pretty good one. It has comedy, drama, science fiction... What else could you ask for?
