  1. It sounds like you've really done your homework here I just get so sick of guys who are likely overweight, sitting and eating fried chicken, getting greese all over their computers insulting a players toughness and bashing a player because of injuries he's had no control over. I'm guessing is some of these people(not those who question if he can handle the work load based on his history, that's perfectly valid, but those who have to have the biting digs) got off the couch and threw the ball once their arms would be in pain for weeks and they'd be out of breath walking outside in the first place. I thought these types of ignorant comments where reserved for the ESPN board. Considering Rogers has gotten hurt in just about every one of his professional seasons, I don't see how the "china doll" comment is so ridiculous. Whether the injuries are his fault or not is irrelevant, Mark gets hurt a lot.
  2. Johnson isn't a free agent at the end of the year. He's worth more.
  3. Well TNA called their ECW stable EV2.0. They could call their NWO stable 9OO. (Nine double-o)
  4. They wouldn't have to wrestle. They could lead a stable of new guys.
  5. The run counts as long as it scores before Braun is put out. If he didn't touch second or didn't get back to first time both are not force outs and the run counts.
  6. Might as well just leave K-Rod is Philly. No reason to being him along anymore. There's probably a local beer league softball team that could use a pitcher.
  7. I agree with all of this. The wedding payoff was crap. I think it was a foregone conclusion that it wasn't going to go through but the way it ended and to make AJ the GM was ridiculously stupid. The HHH/Heyman segment was fine until Heyman gave in and accepted the match. So what, Stephanie was making fun of his failures. That's all it took to get Paul mad? The hand was probably the highlight of the night for me.
  8. A-Rod broke his hand. Maybe the Yankees want Aramis.
  9. Anyone else rather disappointed with the show? It didn't suck, it wasn't bad even, but I was hoping for more nostalgia. I was flipping back and forth to the Brewer game so maybe I missed it but did Austin even make an appearance?
  10. All that proves is that Roenicke is the idiot we all believe he is.
  11. Trash the whole bullpen, every one of them for whatever you can get.
  12. If the Sox are looking for a struggling closer, why not give them two of them. K-Rod and Axford for Hanley.
  13. To fool them into what? Proving he's just having a bad season?
  14. Fiers was up at the end of last year too. I can never remember if that actually counts toward service time or not.
  15. I agree with this. However, the difference with Strasburg is he's coming off Tommy John surgery. There's no reason to risk Strasburg's career and the future of the franchise. DL him for August and then bring him back fresh for September and the playoffs.
  16. So only sometimes we want young, cost controlled players? Maldanado is a more than adequate backup catcher and will prevent the team from wasting money on washed up backup catchers in the future.
  17. I'm not sure if that is an incredibly stupid saying or incredibly genius. I tip my large, calf-free, hat to you.
  18. I would DL him now with a "sore arm" until September. Give him a few starts in September (depending on how close the race is) and save his innings for the playoffs. I'm as anti-pitch count and anti-innings limit as anyone can be but the kid just had Tommy John, you can't ruin his career and the future of your franchise for a handful of starts.
  19. In the low levels of the minor leagues I bet if you never once swung the bat you could put up a serviceable OBP.
  20. Sweep or swept won't make a difference. This team isn't going to the playoffs unless the Pirates and Reds planes crash into each other.
  21. Wolfmother in Green Bay in 2006 I think it was. Only concert I've ever been to as well. We were a few feet from the stage and my favorite part was probably the old guy (60's maybe) who was standing in front of us who looked like he was having a better time than almost everyone else.
  22. Considering Hamilton isn't even a free agent yet I don't know how anyone can say there is a "distinct possibility".
  23. And the team that has won the World Series twice in the last ten years gets a pick too.
  24. Why do people take every rumored word about possible, hypothetical, maybe-happening trades as 100% truth?
  25. I don't think the match is actually going to happen. It seems really stupid to have Cena hold the breifcase for only two weeks. Maybe Cena will get hit by a car or blown up in reference to some past RAW moment so the match won't happen.
