  1. I can confirm with 100% confidence that Woodruff will not pitch in the 2023 playoffs.
  2. Stearns didn't hire Counsell. Interestingly, Stearns has actually never hired a manager. If David has any sort of an ego I would think he wouldn't want to hire Craig. He would want to find his own guy. And considering some of the aging, has been and never was crap players that Stearns would routinely saddle Craig with I wouldn't be surprised if he really isn't interested in working for him. If Counsell isn't back in Milwaukee I'm still putting my money on Cleveland.
  3. St. Brown and Williams have injuries now. Stupid early morning London game for Cook really messes this up.
  4. I don't mind this playoff format because it gives a big advantage to the top 2 teams in each league but it really accentuates that the playoffs are a random crapshoot. Unfortunately because of all this artificial drama it creates it won't be changed anytime soon.
  5. They tried to get funding to build a new complex but when they didn't get it they just decided to pay on their own for upgrades.
  6. Payamps gave up 18 baserunners and 7 runs over 9 innings in September. Peguero got hurt. Uribe has looked fine but he's thrown more innings this year than his whole professional career prior combined. He could hit a wall at any moment.
  7. That part really floored me. He had to be getting a cut of whatever she got or else he really hated Trevor.
  8. As a huge fan of Trevor Bauer the baseball player I hope he's back in the bigs next year.
  9. Good problem to have but a problem none the less. I need 2 WR, 2 RB, and a Flex from this group: WR - St. Brown, Chase, Nacua, RB - James Cook, Kyren Williams, David Montgomery I think the WR all need to start so that leaves one RB to have on my bench and I'm debating between Cook and Williams. Williams has had some great games but he's got a tough D this week. Cook seems like a pretty solid floor but he lost a lot of snaps last week in a game that he should have been fed and he's traveling to London which is a total wild card. I'm leaning toward benching Cook.
  10. Their offense is light years better. With Woodruff out and our young BP guys really showing wear and tear at the end of the season the pitching is probably about equal.
  11. Are they a "legit WS contender" right now? The Braves are head and shoulders above them and I would list both the Dodgers and Phillies as better teams.
  12. He's been pitching for 2 months since coming off the IL. It's not like he just came back last week. I don't know how anyone could say he came back too soon.
  13. Eh, the offense needs to show up no matter who's on the mound. I'm more concerned about that.
  14. I really doubt Murphy would take over. He was brought in because he's Craig's friend. If Craig were to go somewhere else I'm sure he would take him along.
  15. Ya sure if your owner is ok with that. Do you think if Stearns would go to Cohen and say "a player like Mark Canha could really help us win" he's going to sure go get him and not "here's the checkbook sign Ohtani and go get Juan Soto while you're at it." That's why I think Cleveland would be a great fit for Craig. The organization is really no different than the Brewers.
  16. The Braves are a juggernaut that Cohen can't buy his way past no matter how much he tries. The Phillies are pretty good and the Marlins have a very nice team. If Counsell is ready to move somewhere else the Mets would not be where I would want to go. Cleveland seems like a pretty nice spot for him.
  17. Stearns told Buck resign or be fired. This will be Stearns first time hiring a manager. It will be interesting to see what candidates he brings in - outside of Counsell obviously (blue, maybe).
  18. I'm guessing Boushley's gone for Lauer. He's not going to be available anymore.
  19. You should contact them to let them know the former resident wants their money back.
  20. Boy did Andrews look terrible again. Boushley's breaking balls looked decent but he didn't seem to have great command with anything he threw. Maybe he could be a Suter type who comes in to throw something other than gas and eat up innings.
  21. The NL central being such crap this year is probably what will keep him from winning it.
  22. It's one thing to only care about the big payday, it's another thing to dictate your team use you in a way that is solely for your own benefit and I don't know how or why a team would allow it to happen. Don't use him for more than 3 outs in a game in April, sure. But the playoffs are on the line and he says nah and you listen, grow a pair Melvin.
  23. Had Montgomery on my bench last night. Didn't think he would play that much coming off injury and Thursday night games are generally crapfests. Silver lining is he looks like he's the RB1 for Detroit and now my RB1 going forward.
  24. That's fine and totally understandable for a professional athlete but if he's concerned about getting hurt throwing more than 3 outs in a game I question how much of an athlete he truly is.
  25. I second getting rid of Johnson. The Bears are bad. They'll be playing from behind a lot and Fields will be splitting carries with whoever is in the backfield. Seems like you're talking about bottom of your roster guys anyway. You'll churn through those spots all year. Whichever position you decide to cut another random RB or WR will breakout in the next couple weeks you can grab.
