You really though they would allow something to be consumer friendly? I've been saying since streaming services came into existence that they would eventually devolve into cable and they pretty much have.
This is it right here and it's not just about Josh it's about anyone who's in the public eye. There are plenty of celebrities who do a fine job of making themselves look like horrible people but for those who don't you can be sure the media will find a way to make it happen.
I understand the game changes and evolves over time but are we considering some of the stolen base totals this season as "legitmate"? Acuna's previous high was 37 and he's going to almost double that. No way he steals 60 or even 50 under the old rules.
I really doubt the Brewers would care too much about those businesses but because those places exist is why I can't see there being a whole lot of government or citizen support for development.
I do feel a tiny bit bad for Sean. If you remember at this time last year the reports were that he wanted the Chargers job assuming that Staley would be fired, which he probably should have been. There were no good coach openings this offseason. He should have waited another year instead he took the money and went to a place that everyone knew was a raging dumpster fire that won't be extinguished until Wilson is gone.
For as much as everyone likes to bag on the A's, they were neck and neck with the Royals for the worst record in baseball most of the season. And the Royals were actually kind of trying to win.
I wouldn't hate getting swept by the Marlins. Let the Marlins in and knock the Cubs out of the playoffs and then win the division at home against the Craps...I mean Cards. Go ahead and thumbs down me all you want.
Where is the line between a child having a great imagination and just being a liar? When my 3 year old tells you about something that happened or something he did he starts out correctly recalling things but eventually he starts adding things that are in no way true. Not even like over the top crazy things like he saw a dragon or became invisible but will start saying there were people there that weren't and couldn't have been there or like the time he was telling us about all the animals he saw outside at school and included a zebra. He was dead serious that he saw a zebra and would not listen to us when we said there probably wasn't a zebra.
The only people with less credibility than the news media is the sports media. Make something up, cite anonymous sources, and put it out there. It doesn't take a genius to make the connections he made but he has no actual information to support it. There are plenty of posters here who have been saying Stearns and Counsell were going to the Mets since David stepped down last year.
Final Four or any basketball, any WWE event. Doesn't have to be a large event to be a money maker. I remember they had bowling at Miller Park about 15 years ago. Trade shows or conferences too, When I toured whatever the Arizona Cardinals stadium is called now they were setting up the floor for a trade show.
I had strep throat over the summer. Turns out a lot of people I know had it but never at the same time I did nor was I ever around someone who I know had it so I don't know where I got it from. That's not what's bugging me though. What's bugging me is that ever since then coffee has tasted disgusting to me. I've tried a bunch of different kinds and it all tastes sour and I can't take more than 2 sips before dumping the rest. I used to look forward to my morning coffee. It was one of the best parts of my day but now it's gone. That's bugging me.
I doubt there's enough of a population or disposable income to support both a Deer District and a Beer District. (See what I did there) There's already a beer district just up the hill from the park. I don't think people are going to stop going to their local bar before and after games and start eating and drinking at overpriced bars and restaurants because it's 10 minutes closer to the stadium.
Puka, what about Kyren? I was able to grab both of them last week and (unfortunately) left both on my bench. Good thing now that I have Montgomery missing a few weeks and JaMarr JaSucking again.
This kind of feels like Moustakas. Guy comes in and gets a few big hits and plays over his head and everyone falls in love with him. He'll be 35 next year. The option seems like too much for me even if it's just to trade him. We're pretty stacked in the outfield as well.
