    Corey Hart struggled as well...although he's been better since he retired.

    mmmm....I'm not sure about that. Hader blew MULTIPLE games/saves for the Padres in the first few weeks after we traded him. Had he done that with the Brewers our season would have been sunk even earlier than it was. The guy was nails in the playoffs though. And this year, of course. It would be fun to still have the 2 best relievers in baseball...

    Freitag's recruitment sure seemed kinda strange in that nobody else really stepped up to aggressively pursue him (MSU/ILL/Kansas/Gonzaga/etc.). I guess he made comments about how UW was the first to offer and have offered nobody else at his position. Perhaps his first question to schools who contact him is something like "who else are you looking at signing? Am I your top priority?" And got a lot of hemming and hawing in response while UW was all-in. Also, for some reason his ranking seems to have slipped a bit in in the last year. All of that is fine with me. From what I've seen of him he is a gem.

    I do not disagree. Just because it's fun to make lists though I'll put out the Flyin' Illini teams in the late eighties and the '05 Illini. The 38-and-done '15 UK team had the highest efficiency margin in the KenPom era (since 2002 I think). And of course they lost to a UW team that had the highest offensive efficiency in the KenPom era (by a significant margin).

    Clearly. Stats like that which are labelled as all encompassing when they are only offensive/batting stats need to be called something different.

    Good enough. Basically a 1st and a 2nd for Rodgers, with some other swaps in there.

    After doing way too many draft simulations, it sure seems like trading down is always a good option. Basically accumulate as many picks as possible from the pick 45-115 range or so. Would I rather have Michael Mayer or get Luke Musgrove AND Zach Kuntz? Brian Branch or Antonio Johnson AND Nick Herbig? Jordan Addison or Tyler Scott AND Cedric Tillman? Unless the staff has a super high grade on a guy (top 5) and he falls in their lap at 15, trade down.

    Why would TS tweet that? Booo. I'd rather hold out as late as possible for a high return and risk retirement. The cap hit lessens after June 1st, and there is no way the NY media will be patient enough to let the Jets wait that long.

    The drama here has been 100% media driven. What is Matt Ryan's status next year? He's got more career yards thrown than Rodgers and is a likely future HOFer... are there reporters both hounding him AND the Colts daily about what is going to happen next year? It's not like it's July...

    So, after all of this, I can only assume that ARod will lead the Vikings' to a great season in '25, only to catastrophically fail in the postseason?

    I thought his point was the wishi-washi-ness of the Packers communication to all these guys that was annoying, not the fact that the Packers moved on from them.

    Yeah...that's weird. If that was the case you'd think he'd just retire.

    He said he went INTO the retreat at 90% retiring. While in the retreat that number moved more toward 50/50. After leaving the retreat, he was taken aback by the words that the Packers were looking to deal him, and yet he also said that the entire year last year he was getting the feeling that the Packers didn't really want him back, yet nobody would actually say that.

    I'd love to trade #15 for #26 and #58. Particularly if we get #13 from the Jets.

    Wrong. There are MANY cable companies in WI that dropped the RSNs years ago. Cable is basically a monopoly as people only have one choice, thus the streaming companies should have been a godsend, but nobody carried it except for DirectTV Stream. Again, one option--in addition to DirectTV satellite. If Fubo is getting it, I'll likely be dropping DTV. Also, cable and satellite are long term contracts, so if somebody signed up when the RSN was carried and then it was dropped they were screwed. The month-to-month streaming options again are WAYYY better for the consumer.

    Most of the time nobody gets hurt and there isn't even an accident...this time there was.

    That PFF trading mechanism is completely out of whack. I traded Rodgers for Garrett Wilson AND all of the Jets picks. Needless to say, the draft turned out pretty good. In think I ended up with Will Levis, Mayer, and Brian Branch in addition to getting Garrett Wilson...

    But it's just re-hashed stuff from regular threads the past few weeks! So instead of keeping topics together and nice and organized where discussion about something is in one place things just get scattered into chaos of multiple threads forcing people to re-read and re-post the same information....and any new information or ideas or thoughts get get lost in the shuffle. It's ridiculous. I used to be able to keep up with almost everything posted here because it was organized so well. In order to do that now I'd have to read twice as much stuff of the same stuff in order to get the one or two posts that is interesting/new info/new posts that have something to say.
