  1. Makes you wonder if they would leave off a fringe player with a positive c19 test
  2. Clearly the only solution is to spend a few weeks arguing that a 60 game season is too short and that we need an 82 game season which ends in October with 5-6 games per week
  3. Most of us are going to work every day
  4. I wonder what Mlb.tv cost will be. I don’t know if I’ll pay $100 for 50 games.
  5. The Brewers and most of MLB have been terrible about this but I haven’t been too upset since they announced refunds which I received after filling out the short form
  6. Some people just plain lack accountability. Nobody held a gun to your head, you willingly handed your money over. If you made the decision to purchase tickets, you accept the responsibility associated with that purchase. I get that value hasn't yet been presented back but that certainly is not the fault of the teams given the uncertainty involved here. As unlikely as it seems, there's no guarantee that the 2020 season won't happen and your purchasing decision was an agreement to exchange your money for this season, circumstances be damned. If you need the money now, you probably shouldn't have made the purchasing decision in the first place because it was probably a reckless decision to begin with. How about starting there? Point thumbs, not fingers. "Millionaire players?" Instead of being envious, jealous and resentful of their talents, how about we acknowledge that if it wasn't for their talent and your conscious decision to support the "millionaire" players you wouldn't even be on this site or in the position of regretting your ticket purchase to begin with? This is such a strong argument to stop buying tickets
  7. They don’t want to refund because they know that whatever version of baseball we could possibly have in 2020 or 2021, the tickets will be damn near worthless. If they hand out credits for next season then the market is going to get flooded with resales. Gotta take money from the fans and furlough the seasonal workers to pay the execs and the millionaire players /s
  8. It’s pissed me off enough where I’m definitely going to spend less money in the future
  9. Shorting is a losing strategy though since markets go up over time, unless you can reliably outsmart the market, something most people can’t do in their free time. You can make money in a down market by rebalancing into cheap stocks though.
  10. It’s sad that it’s come to this rather than MLB just doing right by their fans. You would think they would care about their loyal customers who bought tickets early.
  11. Well at least my credit card company is pretty good about it when I make a purchase and then never receive what I paid for
  12. Ugh, getting pretty annoyed that they kept my money, removed my tickets from mlb.com and announced nothing
  13. Does anyone know what will happen to the money I spent on tickets to a game in early April?
  14. Yeah but if he can't hit for average or power he won't be able to sustain a high walk rate because there is nothing for the pitcher to fear
  15. I wouldn’t bet on it but Ray is not that different from Grisham 1 year ago
  16. Matt Olson last year https://www.nbcsports.com/bayarea/athletics/matt-olson-hasnt-lost-his-power-whatsoever-after-hand-surgery
  17. Haha the Tigers moved Castellanos off 3B because he was the worst in the league there, they thought he couldn’t cut it
  18. Wow, a 4th OF with 2 years of control and an interesting RP prospect that wasn’t even sniffing Texas’ top 10
  19. I kind of want to give him 4 years if the AAV is low
  20. Why would someone trade a TOR starter for Hader? Most TOR type pitchers would be RP aces if played there.
  21. If we sign Didi, Urías can also start in the minors and fill the hole we inevitably have after some roster shuffling. I’d like to give Urías an everyday job but can’t argue Didi makes us better.
  22. Wow these proposals have gotten nuts. McNeil was double the WAR of Hader last year. Gotta start looking at MiLB players.
  23. I like Stearns overall. I think he mismanaged the pitching staff this year because apparently he over estimated some of our young pitchers and relied on veterans to over achieve again. Our MiLB depth is awful, but I don't really blame him for it. It's a necessary evil to make moves like the Yelich trade, and he's only been here 3 (?) years which I would argue is not enough time. If we drafted 18 year olds his first year they would be only 20-21 years now. We haven't had enough time to go through several rounds of young player acquisitions and grade them effectively.
  24. Goodbye, Jhoulys. Just wasn’t his year.
