    I heard rumor that he also was in violation of the teams new bathroom hygiene code and was caught by mark grace leaving the seat up several times. These are serious allegations and Darren better be getting his resume in order because the high class diamondbacks organization isn't going to allow these egregious violations to continue.....

    RicKKKie with 3 more whiffs today. 74 K in 205 AB. BENCH HIM ALREADY! Gameday must be wrong because the 3 is under BB.... but yeah he does look like a steaming pile of out there this year and Rickie ain't gonna think his way out of this funk. At least Adam Dunn had a better track record when he disappeared last year. Outside of a hot 1.5 years for Weeks he is nothing but pedestrian and right now he is worse than awful.

    LMAO. I was literally going through the Pads lineup to see which light hitting player was gonna take Marcum deep and i picked cabrera. I was going to post here then isaw gameday and fell off my chair laughing..... granted it didn't leave the field, but it'samazing how many HR Marcum gives up to complete light-weight hitters.... i don't worry about himpitching to decent hitters....

    There was really no reason to give him fastballs right down the plate when he had him down in the count, but Billingsley just blew him away on heaters that cut the plate in half. It was more pathetic than most pitchers' plate appearances. So discouraging. You know you are in horrible slump/funk when a pitcher doesn't feel he needs to throw a few balls to get you to chase when your down 0-2 in the count. rickie's gonna start seeing a bunch of fastballs over the plate until he starts turning on them and driving them. Do we really have to go through the same debate about age and stats for every single MiLB player we discuss on the MLB forum? do we really have to go through the same discussion with every prospect that we should ignore their track record and only go with their best case projection? i cansee you like gennett, but this isn't his first year in pro ball and at some point he has to produce. at least beyond 1 spring training game.

    In Fier's start, did anyone get any speed readings on his pitches? I didn't catch the beginning of the game, but in the 5th and 6th (from Gameday) he was sitting 87-89 with his fastball, topping out at 90-91. I was surprised given the speed that he was so successful and was looking to see if there was decent movement on his pitches, but couldn't see much from Gameday. Without seeing him in person I couldn't tell if he had decent movement or his delivery was deceptive, but given his pitch speed I don't think he was blowing anyone away.

    If Weeks is going to play like this all year, we are pretty much screwed. I think you're over-estimating Weeks importance, the Brewers were just fine last year after weeks went down and when he returned and was crap. We have too many holes in the lineup right now. If Hart, Aram and Morgan start hitting better the offense will take a huge step forward even if Rickie remains in a funk. I don't think this team is going to be anywhere near as successful as last year, but the Cards have serious issues and the Reds aren't taking advantage of a poor Brewers start and the Cardinals recent play to take charge. So I can see this still being a close race throughout the year among the top 3 teams. We just need the offense to gain a rhythm and the bullpen to stop giving away runs/games.

    Here's one for true conspiracy theorists. Maybe Lucroy is trying to take the heat off himself because there's a subset of fans who don't believe his 'story' about how he injured his hand that he's exaggerating the abuse to his wife so people will lay off him. Personally I don't believe the story about how he injured his hand and I don't believe there's this rabid fan base in Milwaukee that will call out his wife on facebook. Sure he's had a decent start to the year, but he's not a perennial all-star that the team hangs on his every AB (like Braun). Now if Sara Lucroy shot Jonathan because he took away her credit cards because she's a shopaholic and was spending all his hard earned money then I'd be calling that 'Ho out myself, but a little accident doesn't seem like the trigger to set off the public. But the family under attack story really does beg for letting the Lucroys alone and not to question that fluke luggage falling on an open hand causing boxer's fracture movie of the week.

    We know how poorly ARamhas started this year, but he's stll 120 OPS points higher than casey mcgehee. when will the Pirates cut bait?

    Ok, another CF. Great, just what we needed. I really hope DPR will bat him leadoff or in the #2 hole. He is such a fantastic hitter. even I can't complain about the return of gogo if it means never seeing conrad again.

    Almost everyone has a smartphone these days so it would be nice to have an APP where you can take a picture of the offending party. then with a few menu selections where you indicate game, location and behavior, a report is sent directly to the teams security office. they could followup in realtime and notify the stadium police units if necessary. I would be all for a public intoxication fine. Say $55 and if you can't pay with cc/debit/cash right away then you go to the office to verify your identity and a bill $55 + $55 is sent to your address or you call for someone to pay for you. treat it like a parking ticket. state budget deficit would disappear in no time just from brewer games.

    did veras throw any fastballs? from gameday it appeared all sinkers and curveballs. word was veras had octane heat, he must be too afraid to challenge the mighty twinkees.....

    last years team wasn't always fun to watch. they often won because the other team made more mistakes, not because the brewers were dominant. so far this year the brewers are just getting outplayed almost every night and they are the team that fails more often. i guess the low point of the season for me was when they reupped inspector clouseau the gm and inspector clouseau the manager. losing isn't as bad as no faith in the management that they have a path to rebuild this disaster.

    it would be great if Milwaukee could get the A's and we send the brewers to some city that's hoping for an expansion team. Of course I'd only wish that if we get to keep beane and jettison our front office.
