  1. I'll go 16-12 as well
  2. I've seen multiple posts from you and it's clear you really like Johnson. It also appears to be clear the entire league has major injury red flags on him or he would have gone last night in Round 1. Maybe if he drops to them in Round 2, but trading up would be a significant risk if he is flagged medically
  3. I'll go with a good solid start...19-12
  4. I'll go with 90-72. The division comes down to the wire between MKE and CHC with Crew winning it by 1.0 game
  5. Owen Freeman would be a great get out of the portal. UW finished second to Iowa in his original recruitment and he would be a great fit with WInter moving forward IMO
  6. Looks like Scotty Fletcher
  7. I agree with Ron Robinsons Beard, that is almost certainly Sal Bando
  8. The Phillies are crazy with that ask IMO. I don't really get the fascination with Bohm. He is a below average defender at 3B, who had a two month hot streak at the beginning of last year and was not great the rest of the season. I wouldn't even trade one year of Devin for him.
  9. The Lions might be the best team "on paper", but I firmly believe coaching matters especially in the playoffs and Dan Campbell is way to reckless for my tastes. He arguably cost them the SF game in the playoffs last year and I suspect his arrogance will cost them again
  10. I disagree on Sal. I don't see a .300ish hitter with 40 doubles at all. He has not shown the ability to consistently hit the ball hard at all. He makes a lot of weak contact IMO. It's the main reason I strongly prefer Mitchell over Frelick as I just think Sal is doing it with smoke and mirrors
  11. I understand your point with the Dodgers, but not the Braves. The Braves let Swanson walk a couple of years ago, so they are unlikely to pay Adames IMO. I've felt for a while SF is the most likely landing spot for Willy
  12. I understand McMahon isn't an all-star caliber player, but comparing him to Monasterio is more than a little over the top IMO. He fits the profile of a ++ defender and many left handed hitters have had success at AmFam. I think he would be a real nice add, for someone like Black (who has no defensive value at all and I'm not sure isn't a 4A guy offensively) plus a lottery ticket to Colorado
  13. I'm pretty sure DeJong's wife is from Wisconsin, so I agree he may have interest in the Brewers. No idea if it would be mutual, but you can connect the dots pretty easily...
  14. I think Murphy will leave Turang in the leadoff spot today.. Turang - 2B Chourio - LF Contreras - C Mitchell - RF Adames - SS Hoskins - 1B Sanchez - DH Ortiz - 3B Perkins - CF This lineup is very similar to what was used against Manaea when he started here on 09/27
  15. I couldn't agree with this any more...The argument that betting on his own team versus against his own team makes a difference is a utterly ridiculous take since any bet would impact managerial decisions 100%
  16. My guess is WHEN, not if, they advance to Philly, Hudson would replace Mears on the roster
  17. I would do 2-$38M with a third year option with a buyout ($3-4M) to mitigate some of that risk
  18. 16-10 in September Predicted NL Standings: LAD - 97 - 65 MKE - 96 -66 PHIL - 95 - 67
  19. Narverson did in fact get cut by the Titans. I'm far from sold on Joseph, it will be interesting if they explore any of the FA kickers
  20. That's far from an exciting group...Matthew Wright maybe. The rest are no better than Joseph IMO
  21. Bump 14-8 with six games left in the month. Looks like they will perform better than almost all of the predictions in the thread...
  22. The Marlins DFA'd Nick Gordon. Former high draft pick of the Twins, who IMO would be an upgrade over Monasterio as a utility player off the bench
  23. I believe they were swept in Philly earlier this year. However, they still have not lost 4 games in a row all season. They certainly are not playing well right now, but that happens to every team at some point in the season. The Phillies and Dodgers both had losing records in July as well. This team has been very resilient all season and I expect that will continue
  24. I'll go 15-13
