  1. If Cleveland continues to "disappoint", what are the odds that DeRosa's available?
  2. True. But I would rather have some other than Pujols beat me.
  3. Jeffress can't find anything at AA ball so counting on him in the next few years is a stretch at this point.
  4. Last night was another rough night for the boys in blue. The guy that tried to push Magglio out of the box will likely be getting some time off to get into shape. Just brutal.
  5. In other news, how about Mike Jones?
  6. Yost worst decisions were trying to get "an extra out" because the pitcher was due up next inning.
  7. We also replaced Turnbow w/.....insert name __________.
  8. The mere fact that Umpire beater Milton Bradley stood for a few minutes on Friday should make it a moot point also. Or how about Ramirez crap after every homer?
  9. Cubs announcers are good at shoving things in their mouths. With Harry it was every available drink, and Bob his foot.
  10. Problem is, this did not happen? You could play what if I won a Million Dollars yesterday too, but it doesn't make the trade look any better tomorrow. So with the argument you just stated we could've threw in Escobar, Gamel, and LuCroy and if we would've won the World Series it would've been worth it? And can people justify CC's greed in taking more money when he's already set for life. The dumbest part was the mere fact he was going to a hitter's part if the guy would've read what they had been speculating about it for months and the mere fact he works for a loser family.
  11. Like the trade or not, I bet Tiger fans regret getting Doyle Alexander for John Smoltz. The draft pick argument is very weak especially since the Yankees pick is now a 2nd.
  12. I was just curious as to how other people thought about the replay being used makes umpires more lazy about running out to get fair or foul correct. On the "non" hit the other night off the bat of Tony Clark, the umpire just turned around making zero effort to get a view. Just a putrid attempt.
  13. I would love a full bird of crow for the way he's playing. He's also walking alot and he's playing with a certain aggression I didn't see last year. I am beginning to think Ken Macha is getting the most out of guys like Hall, Weeks, and Cameron. Prove me wrong all year Mike.
  14. We will see how Doug actually does this year w/o CC and a boatload of prospects to bail him out. If Brantley and LaPorta both end up being good players for Cleveland, I guarantee you there will be heat at some point.
  15. Anything with Kevin Mench included in any deal was bad.
  16. Can Doug get off the Ranger kick...My god enough.
  17. Hopefully, Mark A sees the light about Doug. I am sorry but if you can deal Cameron and/or Hall to NY, you free yourself up some money to add someone.
  18. Please no more Craig Counsell. That ship sailed two years ago.
  19. That's not true. I believe they get a 3rd rounder instead.
  20. Salome and Gillespie wouldn't net us Guillen's arms or legs.
  21. I guess I never understood the fascination with Mike Cameron in this forum. He's been an inconsistent hitter come the end of the year regardless of how you look at those number especially the postseason.
  22. If anyone wants to argue that anyone on that list is a better option than Sheets for 2009, I'm sorry but I just think he/she'd be lost. That was not the argument. It was about innings pitched. A poster mislead about how many more innings pitch Sheets had over logged over that time. Sheets is durability is the main question. Also, Carlos Zambrano could be added to that list but was just a rookie that first year and has averaged more innings per year than Sheets after 2001.
  23. Here are the pitchers so far that have more innings pitched over that stretch 2001-2008 than Sheets. Pettite Maddux Randy Johnson Livian Hernandez Jamie Moyer Derek Lowe Kevin Millwood Tim Hudson Tom Glavine Javier Vaczquez Possibly More to follow...
