First time since T Ball Frederickson didn't have a walk.
  2. Postseason2006
This is my biggest complaint about umpires. Instead of turning the other way, they have to initiate the confrontations. How about Selig growing a set and start fining these guys. People come to see good baseball not have poor umping take the game away. The Brewers got hosed on a strike 3 call to Cameron but in the Rockies rally, there was a 2 strike pitch to Smith I believe that was called a ball at the knees.

Two plays don't make him a great player. I take it you haven't seen any other games this year? The guy couldn't field corn.
  4. Postseason2006
    When you constantly throw darts.....
  5. Postseason2006
We are talking about the All Star game so I would hardly be focusing merely on OBP. I could care less about how much a guy walks vs someone who can hit. I watch to see good hitters, great pitching, and great defense. I don't watch to see a guy walk.
  6. Postseason2006
I never liked the trade that was made. Melvin likes getting his guys and needless to say most have not panned out for the Brewers or not of yet. He admitted he wanted Gerut, Nix, and Mench.
  7. Postseason2006
I still could not believe Macha sat him again last night. Hall gets one hit and Macha decides thats enough to start him again vs Wainright.
  8. Postseason2006
Are we really going to throw Parra under the bus? Take this pitcher for example who struggled early on. Parra also threw a no hitter in the minors. Average guys don't do that kind of thing. http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/g/glavito02.shtml?redir
  9. Postseason2006
I am just curious as to know how can someone show bruising 10 seconds after the play? Nearly impossible...
  10. Postseason2006
He should get "some" starts against pitchers he has had success against like a Josh Johnson. He should've never seen Oswalt last night.
  11. Postseason2006
I've never understood the big deal about Juan Pierre lite. When Gwynn was up, he couldn't even slap hit his way on.
  12. Postseason2006
Versatile defensively? Right now his defense stinks too. That ball should've been gotten to. Bill Hall has 2 K's andab killing inning DP plus a routine play for most bounce off his glove.
  13. Postseason2006
The #2 hitters job is to hit the ball to the right side of the field and take a lot of pitches like Gantner did behind Molitor. Hall uses RF about as well as a shortstop would use a catcher's mit.
  14. Postseason2006
I am calling for Hall to be benched even vs lefties at third. Gamel was .425/.490/.975 with an OPS of 1.465 at AAA. Let Gamel play FT Bill Hall is almost a surer out then Kendall.
  15. Postseason2006
Tonight was just brutal taking the golden sombrero. Lasix was not the solution. It is the lack of adjustments. Ryan Braun is a classic example of a guy that has learned how to take what they pitch him.
  16. Postseason2006
If were holding out hope for Hall and his ability, tonight's game sure wasn't a ringer of sorts.
  17. Postseason2006
I've seen all I want out of Bill Hall so far now. Does he offer anything for trade value?
  18. Postseason2006
    Sal Bando at his finest.
  19. Postseason2006
Crash, How could Greg Vaughn not make that list considering he hit 50 homers that year?
  20. Postseason2006
Exactly why I mentioned DeRosa right after Weeks season was finished. DeRosa was Mr Clutch for the CUBS last year.
  21. Postseason2006
Vaughn for Newfield and a box of balls was awful....
  22. Postseason2006
I didn't know if I should bring this thread to the top or start a new one. Braun's OBP is .451 and his slugging is .571 right now. He definitely should be starting the All-Star game based on his overall totals.
  23. Postseason2006
Gary Sheffield still kills me...for Bones, Mieske, and Valentin....
  24. Postseason2006
Unreal... Does anyone remember the showboating Soriano has done making catches in left. In fact, Braun IS a better fielder than that loafer.
  25. Postseason2006
    Mark DeRosa.
