  1. Brewers 5-4 headed in to today’s game. Smoak getting his first start of the season. Huira had a great series vs. Philly. Lorenzo Cain’s first HR of the year in the third makes it 1-0. Yelich follows with a hard hit single to RF, steals 2nd and third and Avasail Garcia’s groudout scores him. 2-0 headed to bottom of the third. Now Nick Castellanos hits a 2 out HR. 2-1 Brewers after 3. Brett Anderson hits a 2 out double down the left field line. Justin Smoak scores from 2nd. Sogard thrown out at the plate trying to score from first. 3-1 headed to bottom for 4th. Bottom of the 4th is a disaster. Anderson gives up two hits and two loud, loud outs that results in a sac fly. Then a single and the easiest E6 ever load bases. They PH for the pitcher Lucas Sims with Nick Senzel and the first pitch hits him. Castellanos hits a grounder up the middle for 2RBI and it’s now 5-3 Reds. Lorenzo Cain stays hot and leads off the 5th with his second HR of the game, off of reliever Robert Stephenson. Yelich follows with a double to LF corner. Now Avasail hits a bomb out to left and it’s 6-5 Brewers. Stephenson gets the hook after just three batters and on comes Michael Lorenzen. Ray Black on to start the 6th. Not off to a good start. Runners on corners two out now, back to top of the order, Castellanos, who is 2-2 With 3RBI so far. Walks him. Phillip Ervin up now with bases loaded. Starts him 0-2 and he’s worked it full...STRIKES HIM OUT. And Black gets out the jam. 29 Pitch inning. Bottom of 7th. Claudio gives up 2R HR to Moose and it’s 7-6 now. On comes Knebel. It will be Braun, Cain and Yelich vs. Rasiel Iglesias in the 9th. Braun leads off with a single to RF. Cain sacrifices him to 2b and the Brewers are playing small ball to tie the game. Perhaps that backfired though as , predictably Yelich is walked. Garcia Ks on a 3-2 pitch. Down to Huira...and he goes 6-3 and game over.
  2. I will update some numbers tomorrow, on the off day, but the Brewers went 2-1 vs. Stl and they beat Philly today, 8-1. Brewers are 4-3 now. Huira has had two good games in a row.
  3. I am surprised how lowly rated Keston Huira is in these games, as a hitter. In MLB the show is rating is very low. He has been a black hole in my simulations. Strikeouts and weak grounders to SS consistently killing rallies with double plays.
  4. Im still long ATHX. My portfolio is up 186% since March 1. The CEO just did an interview on Fox News today. We will see double digits soon.
  5. They could just do a half season. 82 games (to make it even 41-41). Could start it in July. At this point I will take it.
  6. I’m beginning to wonder if an MLB season will happen this year. Virginia just issued a stay at home order through June 10th. I’m not sure where Nationals Park is, but of other states do the same it could be curtains. This is depressing.
  7. And it’s time again for Brewers Baseball. Game 4. The 1-2 Brewers take on the Cardinals. Wainwright for Stl. Freddy Peralta get the nod for the Brewers. Freddy Peralta a no-no through 4. Brewer offense anemic. We are in the 5th. Peralta has faced the minimum, has 60 pitches so far and there is action in the bullpen. Peralta comes out for the 6th. Still 0-0. Brewers offense still anemic. I’m wondering if MLB The Show is properly rating Keston Huira who has been a black hole in the offense the first 4 games.
  8. I play GM in nine and set the lineups, rotation, etc.
  9. Lorenzo Cain walks it off in the bottom of the 10th. Brewers 1-2 now.
  10. Game 3 starting now. Lauer vs Lester. Need a win here Edit - Javy Baez leads off with HR. Edit 2 - Huira 2 run blast in bottom of 9th to tie it 3-3
  11. Ben Gamel PH walk to lead off 11th. Jed Gyrko up now who came in in the 10th. Gyrko Ks swinging. Now Pina again - he swings at ball 4 to take the count full. Swings at ball 4 again and Ks. Back to Brock Holt. Hits weak grounder to Rizzo and that’s the game. Brewers lost 3-4 to fall to 0-2. It was an ugly game.
  12. Counsell falling asleep in the dugout. Knebel just pitched two innings, the 10th and 11th. Threw 48 pitches. Gave up a run. 4-3 headed to bottom of 11th.
  13. Sogard leads off 9th with single. Tyrone Taylor in to PR. Pina pinch hits for Hader, sac bunt. Taylor to second. Brock Holt, who is leading off and playing SS flys out to RF. Cain, batting second hit a slow roller to 3b and Bryant boots. Runners on corners for Yelich. First pitch a long foul ball that would have won it. Crowd really wanted it. Strikes out. Extra innings.
  14. Wow these simulations are surprisingly accurate lol. Hader just gave up a 2 run HR with two out in the 9th to Javy Baez. 3-3 now.
  15. Currently watching game 2. Brewers up 2-1 in the 4th but have already grounded into 4 double plays, two with the bases loaded and no out. Frustrating.
  16. You guys had better luck in your MLB the Show debuts. Brewers lost 7-2 in my opener. We actually let it play in full broadcast mode and watched game unfold. 45 minutes of fun with my 9 year old.

  18. Reports this morning that the draft may not happen this year.
  19. I have a trip planned to New Mexico the last week of May. Should I take measures to cancel that now? The news media keeps stating that this is “the new normal” for many months to come, I would want to get a refund on my credit card statement for flights, rental car, etc before the bills comes due next month.
  20. Good idea. Except my two favorite restaurants - who were not at all hurting for business - have already closed due to this shutdown. Like out-of-business closed? That seems quick. These restrictions weren't even in place just a week ago! No, not out of business. Just not going to try to stay open.
  21. How long can we do this? There are what, 5,000 cases right now? Some experts have said that 1 in 3 Americans can expect to get this sickness. That's 100,000,000 people. Even if we add 100,000 new cases A DAY going forward, that's 1,000 days of being shut down? If its 10,000 new cases a day then we are looking at shutting down society for 10,000 days. How long are we prepared as a society to do this? THat is my question.

  23. Shut it down for 30 days (society) as we approach April 15, reevaluate. If it needs to be extended, extend it. But to say it needs to be 2-3 months or longer is a bit much. on my way in to work the news was reporting this is the "new norm" for the next couple months, by the time I was driving home the same network was saying this could last until August or November. Give me a break. We need to take it one day (heck even a month!) at a time and not just write off all of 2020. Our economy will not be able to last 6 months with no commerce.
  24. The Brewers vs. The Cubs 2020 scheduled games. I generally do not enjoy going to Brewers/Cubs games at Miller Park. For a bunch of reasons, but it's a cluster to say the least, with traffic, concourses, etc. My parents are in their mid 60s and my Dad, who is a huge baseball fan, also avoids Cubs games. So here is what is bugging me. Spring break for my kids is March 23-27. I avoid opening day and like to go the second or third home game of the year. This year, it's the Cubs. So we are avoiding. You either get one of two types of grandparents. The super grandparents that want to be involved in everything with your kids, help out, go to events, have them overnight...or you get the type that say "I raised my kids, now it's 'Me Time' please dont bother us too much" Well, we got the latter. It's fine, my wife and I have adapted over the past 15 years and my parents havent "watched" my kids in probably 5 years and even before that it was a once or twice a year phenomenon. All that being said, I COULD...COULD count on them to take them to a Brewer day game if I asked. In 15 years of having kids my wife and I have left them behind exactly twice. Once in 2017 for 3 nights, once in 2019 for 5 (we hired babysitters to take care of them). This year, we are going to be gone twice. Once May24-May29, Once August 8-9. Trying to find a way for my parents to help out the babysitter by taking them for a bit and I thought BREWER GAME! Wouldnt you know it, they play the Cubs BOTH WEEKENDS!!! UGH!!! All three Cubs series are bugging me!!!
  25. Bizarre day for sure. I was positive 16% today, but that is because for years I have been heavily invested in $ATHX a company that is close to breaking out with their product, one of the indications it treats is ARDS which is essentially one of the complications from COVID-19 that leads to death.
