  1. Interesting to note that when healthy, 2018 Thames is at worst a wash to 2017 Santana. Makes the hill to climb to get back to the majors here even larger.
  2. What is this garbage - one AL player, a timer, and a head to head bracket? I miss the old format. 10 outs, highest totals advance. And Griffey has his backwards hat and the love of the masses.
  3. I’m probably not the only person wondering why we even have a “closer” so to speak. Just pitch these guys whenever it makes sense. Knebel has left a lot to be desired this year. I thought it was a blessing when Knebel was on the DL and we had Jeffress, Hader, Albers, and Jennings all in the 9th. How quickly Counsell forgot.
  4. I remember in the spring of 2007 when the Indians kept getting postponements because of the weather, so they moved a series to Miller Park. For one of the games (that I went to), we must have gotten 8 inches of snow throughout the day. A plow literally had to clear each row of spaces before cars could park. The Brewers were playing in Miami that night, in perfect 75 degree weather. The attendance was higher in Milwaukee to see two teams, neither of which was the home team, in a game just shifted to town, during a snowstorm.
  5. He's been a top two 2018 Milwaukee Brewers starter. That's all that matters to me.
  6. Aguilar and Muncy are the only choices that wouldn't be a joke.
  7. Has CC let Roberts know he's only allowed to use Hader in the 6th-8th innings, and only in a tie game or with a small lead?
  8. Holy roster moves, Batman! Hope something is figured out with Braun. The constant shuffling for his DL stints, days off, and poor play this year point to needing extended time off or just being washed up and not worth a roster spot in 2019. Will be cool to see Burnes. Guessing he's solely bullpen at this point, like Hader last year. He's had his problems, but Co Springs itself is a problem. The double header will either be Woodruff or Miley, who is on track to be back for it.
  9. Really don't get it. I was all for throwing Z-chubs out there if Wilkerson blew it and the game was out of hand, since it's a waste to use Hader as an innings eater. You chase the un-hittable pitcher, make it a 1 run game, Hader hasn't pitched in four days...and keep the Zagurski in. Will Perez or Kratz have the 9th, since CC had already conceded?
  10. I guess this is part of the "overwork the guy who is getting DFA'd tomorrow" trick. I'd have preferred the "try to win the game" path instead.
  11. When Zagurski comes on, you know CC's given up any hope of the offense scoring a run.
  12. MLB record for consecutive strikeouts is 10. Shaw's quick and unproductive flyout about as productive an out as our offense can manage.
  13. What's he, 3 for his last 33? Hopefully when they don't trade for a catcher it'll be time to move on and get Nottingham up.
  14. Remember the no hitter that wasn't?
  15. Is this an option for Miley by this time ? Could be. Would give him one more rehab start, and the next start would align with that series.
  16. Heck of a job by Jennings. Glad to see he's bounced back after the struggles. Would be pretty pathetic if the starter goes 6 and you blow a 4 run lead without Hader, Jeffries, or Knebel entering the game.
