Well, Thames is terrible .... like substantially worse than Smoak this year. I don't get why so many Brewer fans miss the guy. He was average for a couple years here, and had some nice moments, but dropping him was no loss at all. Moose hasn't been good either. They're names. So for most fans that would've meant Steans was doing his job better.
3 innings, 2 runs. If we can 2 more from him that will do. He hasn't been bad tonight. Our pitchers are going to give up runs. It just would be great if it worked the other way around here and there.
I feel the opposite. If we hit, and actually get a lead, our starters can take us to a couple of studs instead of having our middle guys who are iffy to say the least.
Mike Moustakas- has been bad. Eric Thames- has been bad. Yasmani Grandal- has been about average. Travis Shaw- is who he was last season. When you toss that in with how bad the Brewers hitters have been, it's just odd.
Yelich sucks. In all the years we've seen Braun out there, I've never seen him have that much trouble fighting the sun. Go back to playing right field.
I agree with you, but I don't know who else on this team should even be in the rotation. I don't think Freddy is a starter either. Maybe you can stretch out Suter and go Woodruff-Burnes-Lindblom-Anderson-Suter. That's an awfully weak rotation, though. If only Eric Lauer didn't poop his pants but he could possibly be an option down the road. Woodruff Burnes Anderson Lindbloom Lauer
[sarcasm]Fun[/sarcasm] fact: Ben Gamel, Keston Hiura, Justin Smoak, Jedd Gyorko, and Christin Yelich all have struck out over 30% of their at bats this season. If you add in Ryon Healy and Jace Peterson, that is 7 players so far this season. Yikes.
Orlando Arica: Walk Rate: 2018- 4.1% 2019- 7.9% 2020- 11.6% Strikeout Rate: 2018- 23.8% 2019- 20.0% 2020- 12.9% wRC+: (100 is average) 2018- 54 2019- 61 2020- 89 While he is not lighting the world on fire with his bat, the improvement is there. It just may not ever be what everyone was hoping for from him. But as another poster wrote (and I forget who) he never really did all that great coming through the minor leagues.
I wish that we could get to a place where people had empathy and understanding that America does indeed “suck” for certain people. And that the game of life here, while this country is doing a lot of great things, isn’t indeed good for all. If we could get over that hump to have a bit of understanding for people, we may start to work together and move forward. A lot of these athletes end up millionaires but did not come from that place to begin with.
I just don’t know if that MLB Network one is enough. Give me their top 2 (Lewis/Kirilloff) plus a higher upside arm lower on their list like Edwar Colina and we have a deal. Hader has 3 years of control. He’s the best reliever in baseball. We better be getting as sure of things as there is.
Anyone find any “free” baby sites for anything? I see that Amazon gives you a free gift package for registering with them. Wasn’t sure if other places had things like this. Or if it is even worth those things.
Great unity tonight with this occurring between the NBA and MLB but I hope some leaders emerge and take the next step with all of this. Being outraged isn’t enough. The boycott sends a message that there is bigger things than entertainment. That’s about it. A real message is what is next? What will they do to help create change?
