  1. Pretty hard for this one not to go political unfortunately. Probably for the best.
  2. Can’t say thank you enough for the thoughtful responses. A lot of great information to help me with getting prepared. Thank you
  3. I wonder if Mark A would do a little construction to make this a reality? Not even sure it’s possible but it wouldn’t be adding a crazy amount of room to really make it work.
  4. 19th? Well at least we still have our one. Hopefully Rock will tell us the story about it tonight now.
  5. Correct. And by the time the seasons over I think the new players will be alright and we will looks at things a bit differently.
  6. Thank you for the awesome feedback on this. I should mention that they’re twin boys. I just want to be prepared in the most practical way possible.
  7. My wife and I are having twins come December. It is our first two children and we are very excited. I thought we might have some posters who have been through this all before and might have some advice on good places to shop for deals, things to be aware of, etc... Much appreciated!
  8. It wouldn’t shock me to see an organization appease a player and their agent at all. Not saying it is happening or should happen. But it wouldn’t shock me in the slightest.
  9. The Brewers seemed ahead of the curve with his past deployment and multi-inning usage. Obviously something has changed, it would be nice to know what specifically those reasons are. I hate to speculate but I wonder if an agent got in Hader’s ear about needing to close games to drive up his $ value come contract time.
  10. Better hope we have a 3 run or less lead in the 9th inning and only that inning.
  11. I wouldn't say 'ole DJ has drastically improved the Reds pitching. Trevor Bauer would be good wherever he pitches. It also seemed more like a move to be home rather than anything else. At least that’s all we have ever been told on it.
  12. Moose and his line would fit in really well with our lineup this season.
  13. Does anyone really care what a beat reporter things about a player? Always found that stuff to a bit, well unreliable to say the least.
  14. I would just like one more full year of watching him play. As lousy as he made the middle part of his career, he’s done all he can for the organization and himself to change. I’d like to see him have a nice ending to his Brewers career on not such a weird situation. But time will tell. The DH coming is the only thing that possibly saves it. I completely agree that we are lacking some leadership with the Cain departure for the year.
  15. As a spots lover of all kinds it’s hard to see something produce $600k but lose $4.2 million. I can kind of see why people get upset about sports and the overall cost of it.
  16. Preseason is something I never enjoyed. Basically a minor league football game for the most part and never got very exciting results. The Packers over the years have been very cautious with their players in them too.
  17. With the DH possibly staying around it makes it more likely they figure something out.
  18. Our last 13 games: 12 runs - 2 times 7 runs - 2 times 5 runs - 3 times 4 runs - 4 times 3 runs - 2 times 5.76 runs a game over the last 13 games. Over the last 7 games it bumps to over 6 runs a game. In reverse order: 5,12,7,7,3,4,5 At some point we need to realize that while the offense has been a disappointment, so has the pitching. Can’t be expected to have an offensive outpouring every night to win ball games.
  19. This team needs help badly. Hader would just be a start for them but is a definite match.
  20. If Braun or Urias isn’t leading off today I’ll lose my mind. But I’m sure we will see the nerd or Garcia.
  21. Grisham may be sorely, sorely missed. It wasn't long ago when we had outstanding outfield depth on this team. Now the future of our outfield is Christian Yelich, ??, and ?? Don’t forget Braun. Ryan Braun.
  22. Things have to lineup. You don’t hand Yelich the bank if you’re signing 3-4 other players. It’s not Monopoly money.
  23. He’s a great backup. It’s where it ends. He never will hit enough to be the main guy. That’s why Narvaez is supposed to be here for. Unfortunately, he hasn’t show up.
