  1. Pitching is a problem that has nothing to do with whether or not Hiura helps this team...so I really don't know why pitching woes keep getting brought up in a thread debating why one of their best righthanded bats is still sitting in AAA. Because those that are so desperate to have him believe it will right the ship. Solid to good pitching will. The rest of this is just whining to me. Hiura will get his shot, eventually. No matter what ends up happening with him, he himself won’t fix the ultimate problem with this team.
  2. 6.55 ERA over the last 30 games is the problem. I’d like to see Hiura too but some of this is a bit much.
  3. David Freitas continues to tear the cover off the ball. I bet Yasmani is looking over his shoulder. nice.
  4. Trent Grisham looking ready to take Cain’s job while we are at it.
  5. Not that he couldn’t of been on a plane late last night or early today but Hiura did play last night in Omaha.
  6. He's probably the 5th best 2B option for the Brewers this year...on just their AAA affiliate. Hiura, Saladino, Dubon, and Spangenberg are all better. So, nope. Doesn't that make it a bit more maddening that Shaw is still in the lineup swinging through fastballs down the middle...considering all those options. Nope.
  7. What the heck is going on around here... honestly?
  8. Did Brew crew get a new handle? Jeeeeeezuz.
  9. Did you by chance happen to just knock the ball out of Thames’ glove? Thought I was going to be the slump buster. Wrong.
  10. Say you go get one pitcher... okay, cool. Then what? They’re all really terrible right now. Hook should be the sacrifice. DJ has to be chuckling a bit.
  11. Is J & B's Blue Ribbon the same as Jackson's Blue Ribbon? No.
  12. Thanks for adding to your already full resume of insightful posts. You. Are. No. Better.
  13. It’s silly until it’s not. For me it’s an interesting thing to think about. If you don’t think we will be in sell mode, great. Good for you. I don’t believe we will either. But I think it’s at least topic worthy to think about who has any worth to continue to build our future. Go piss on someone else’s cornflakes if you’d like to.
  14. Worst trophy in sports. But yeah it’d be nice.
  15. How do the Bucks get better from a year ago?
  16. Any because it’s the best shuttle out there. In and out of the game quicker than any of them. This is my place 99% of the time.
  17. Hopefully it doesn’t come to it but if it does, we sure have quite a few pieces to trade to restock our farm a bit: -Moustakas & Grandal: Both basically on 1-year deals but having great seasons and could help any team in the mix. -Orlando Arica: This one would be hard for me but with Dubon doing what he is doing, it could make Arcia available in a trade. What is Arcia worth? That’s a hard one. It would probably vary greatly from GM to GM. An Arcia trade could set off a Dubon-Hiura up the middle for years to come. (And also keep Perez around) -Eric Thames: Having a very nice season for us and could provide a power source for a playoff bound team. -Zach Davies: Depending on his hopeful rebound, he could be a nice arm for someone looking for depth. -Jhoulys Chacin: Again, all would be dependent on if he returns to form but had playoff experience and could provide depth to a competing team.
  18. If you’re not looking to come into the city, this would be my choice to shuttle in from as well. Solid food, good atmosphere, great happy hour if you catch it right (M-F/3-6pm: $2 drafts plus good food specials), and a nice shuttle.
