  1. Still amazed that so many think Hiura solves the problems of this team. It has been the pitching and there’s really no arguing it.
  2. Without looking deeper into the stats, it just feels like Chacin is not pitching to contact as well as he did a year ago. He went deeper into games last year in stretches because he got a ton of weak contact.
  3. When did this happen before? Many times over the years, like at Wrigley Field with the wind blowing in last year and this year, and in parks like San Francisco, San Diego, and others. The Brewers just got done averaging 5-runs a game in SF. Over 7-runs a game in Pittsburgh. Their offense isn’t the problem.
  4. Yelich could not see it, either. Didn’t think I’d have to put that one in blue.
  5. Aguilar getting close to passing Cain in OPS. Ish.
  6. No guarantees that Miley even wanted to come back.
  7. Chacin was on a two-year contract. Wasn’t really about keeping one or the other.
  8. That’s what happens when you smack around lefties.
  9. Still, it is not “comparing apples to lugnuts” as was said. Maybe it’s a silly way to compare players but you’re using the same date range. The numbers are what they are. I don’t think anyone would say Aguilar has been in the same world as Yelich but those numbers at least say he’s been somewhat serviceable.
  10. Or he’s just comparing two players using the same range of dates.
  11. Not a playoff contending team. Having Gamel and Perez this year to defensively fill positions has been awesome. Couple that with Pina as a backup/defensive catcher. Stearns has done a great job in that department in my eyes.
  12. Jesus is just heating up. Doubtful that now they would give up on him.
  13. Doesn't Perez have to be aware of the possibility he is going to pinch-hit this inning? Players gotta' stay prepared, too, don't they? I agree to some extent. But Shaw was on deck like he was going to hit and it looked like once Thames popped out CC made the call for Perez.
  14. What would constuitute a waste? Missing the playoff? Losing in the Wild Card Game? Losing in the NLDS? Losing in the NLCS? Losing in the World Series? If they don’t win the World Baseball Classic, I’m disappointed.
  15. Yeah yeah, still doesn’t change the silliness of yours. [sarcasm]Please stop picking on other posters.[/sarcasm]
