  1. So you're saying our owner and GM is smarter? I can get on board with that!
  2. Always amused with posts that imply the Brewers owe a fan something for being a fan for a certain length of time. So dramatic.
  3. Two outs RISP: .256/.361/.500/.861 RISP: .257/.357/.476/.833 Hmm, thank you for posting that, Brew4U. The 2 out RISP, especially surprises me, because there was a recent stretch where we were like 2 for 21 with men in scoring position and 2 outs. That just goes to show why sample size is so important to consider. One cold stretch is not necessarily indicative of a larger trend. It just feels like it in that moment. Yeah, when teams are in a slump, things always feel worse than they are. This team is out of whack in all phases right now. Hopefully it doesn’t continue for a long period of time.
  4. Agreed. Don’t care at all. It’ll make it that much more fun spoiling their season, again.
  5. Is it Anderson's fault he's only going 4 innings or so? Feels like he could be asked to go deeper in games and they've refused to let it happen.
  6. You play 162 games, you are bound to have games that just simply get away from you. Excited to be there tonight to see Jimmy. Hope it is a positive one that he can build off of going forward.
  7. Not to double post but we are getting to the point of the season that it is either one of two things. Either Derek Johnson mattered that much to this staff or our pitchers drastically overachieved a season ago. I suppose it could be a combination of the two but this pitching staff so far just isn't that good.
  8. The call for Wilkerson is like calling for the backup QB in football. He's a different name but he's just a guy.
  9. 1. Cain- CF 2. Yelich- RF 3. Braun- LF 4. Moose- 2B 5. Grandal- C 6. Thames- 1B 7. Arica- SS 8. Shaw- 3B Probably won't happen but it probably should.
  10. Yes. It’d be great to hear a huge roar from the crowd tonight in support of Shaw but they’ll probably boo instead. Mostly because people are idiots.
  11. Yes, it might be overstated about how good our division really is this year.
  12. Unfortunately, the Brewers have a very difficult division that they can win this year. By the way, cut it out with the "people need to wrap their minds around this" and eye roll type stuff. Sure they can. And I'm guessing that is a priority. As pointed out by another poster, their record did not drastically improve with Hiura on this team so that mindset might be a little off with how they are going about roster construction.
  13. He's going to AAA. Long term. Long term..........
  14. Those are all self-imposed restraints if the Brewers decide to follow them. The Brewers are choosing not to give Hiura MLB PAs - which I hope works out for them. Hiura isn't going anywhere. He will get plenty of MLB at bats. He is nowhere near a finished product. Making sure you give your 3B now and for the foreseeable future, a chance to get out of his mess should and is a priority for the Brewers.
  15. Please do. Never seen such a damn baby in my life.
  16. [sarcasm]Man, I hope Huira stinks up the joint so we can stop hearing about how Stearns messed up.[/sarcasm]
  17. Shaw can play first base, if they want to get him regular PAs. There is playing time for all three players especially given that Hiura is right-handed. They've stated it before. Shaw is the future at 3B for this team. They are going to play him there. People really need to wrap their minds around this concept. Couple that with Moose doing just fine at 2B and Thames needing to play 1B right now, there just are not enough at-bats to warrant Huira to stay up.
  18. Why does having Shaw on the roster force Hiura to sit on the bench? Because they're not sitting Shaw and Moose. They will play 3B and 2B respectively.
  19. I know that you are probably trying to play devil's advocate here, but I don't think it's going to matter one iota. I'm sure Hiura was told when he came up that he was an injury replacement, and as soon as Shaw was deemed healthy he would be going back down. Hiura and his agent know that Keston is young, relatively inexperienced and could benefit from more time in the minors. The kid is 22. He'll get his opportunity soon. Right now he's one hell of a weapon that the team has at their disposal if the offense goes into another funk. Not only this but Stearns has a pretty solid track record of treating players right. Highly doubtful that he's just sitting around thinking of ways he can screw over players right now.
  20. Down to a series of 3. Really hoping the Blues can upset the Bruins next game and give them a chance to close it out at home.
  21. Good post. I agree. The part I bolded was something I thought about yesterday. It will be interesting to see if Moose in the lineup tonight.
  22. I just ventured into the twitter world to see reactions. Wow, what a meltdown by the Brewers faithful today. Pretty sad stuff.
