  1. Get someone young that can grow and become a staple after Uecker.
  2. Alex Bregman and AJ Reed, maybe a lower prospect with high upside and we have ourselves a deal.
  3. Please yes and thank you. No longer will a guy no better than someone out of the stands be allowed to take away precious outs.
  4. I think after Uecker it will be a whirlwind of people filling that chair.
  5. Okay so I have DirecTV and I live in Iowa City, Iowa. I can buy a Brewers only subscription for $95?
  6. So it'll cost be $85 to watch all Brewers games with no blackout restrictions no matter where I live? Or am I wrong?
  7. I just can't see this ever happening. It would be a great day in baseball but just cannot see it.
  8. And we'd still suck.
  9. http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/columnist/bob-nightengale/2016/01/20/mlb-small-market-teams-revenue-sharing-pirates-bob-nutting/79090390/ Just in case anyone doesn't see this one it's a good read. Going to be a big decision coming and will affect the Brewers greatly.
  10. Villar is a nice get. I'm excited to see him grow this year hopefully in a full time role.
  11. http://sports.cbsimg.net/images/visual/whatshot/matt-garza-31514.jpg 32 years and counting!
  12. To me it's a no brainer. Get Blake Snell on this club. Pitching, pitching, pitching and more pitching! Add in a Casey Gillaspie and another prospect and walk away happy.
  13. Where does he rank in the last two seasons? Even if you include his fluke 4.0 WAR (BRef) 2013 season, he's in the bottom fifth of starting shortstops. He's filler--a/k/a "just a guy"--not someone you plan for your future with and not someone who has any serious trade value. I'm not suggesting the Brewers release him. He's the best shortstop they currently have on the roster and they need to have someone in the lineup with SS next to his name. He can keep the job until Arcia comes up (whenever that may be). Since the Brewers need to lose all the games they can in 2016 I'm fine with Jean Segura and his 68 OPS+ in the lineup every day. Even that is debatable. Villar might outplay him.
  14. Lucroy just sounds like a whiner. It is very simple to say we are going to work our tails off to win as many games as we can next year and I am a Brewer until I am told otherwise. It is very simple to say that and when you're traded, move on. Now he comes across as a tool. Good riddance. Obviously you're not good enough of a catcher to help this staff grow and become competitive nor are you good enough of a hitter to help carry this team. The day he's traded will be a good day for many reasons.
  15. http://www.jsonline.com/sports/brewers/jonathan-lucroy-thinks-trade-would-be-best-for-him-and-brewers-b99654302z1-365824811.html Trade him now. Doesn't want to be here. Get him outta that Brewers uniform as soon as possible. I want people who want to be in Milwaukee. Doesn't sound too much like a leader.
  16. This guy here is dead! Cross him off then.
  17. The best use for Smith is to trade him, now. He's got a low salary figure and is very good, especially against lefties.
  18. Yeah but we are the Brewers so we need to bow down to all these other teams and just hand them our good players for very little on the return.
  19. All guys with question marks around their futures on this team. It seems to be a no-brainer to not include them when all fans would be doing is asking when they will be departing.
  20. The pitching. It won't matter at all if we ever get a 3B or 1B if we don't find cheap, controllable pitching. I'll be looking to see if any of these guys, who are pretty talented, can take the big step into being #1 or #2 type pitchers. We need 2-3 of them out of this group to figure it out.
  21. Upton for that money? Craziness. Good player don't get me wrong, just doesn't seem like a $20+mil per year guy.
  22. They should be looking for prospects to add that are near ready like Arcia and Phillips. The more of a nucleus we have with those guys, the better chance we have.
  23. Could just be a way to cover themselves in case of a trade.
  24. Well if they're not triples, they'll be doubles. I'm good with that.
  25. Why? His fly balls will go 280 feet vs. 275 feet? When does he hit fly balls? Grounders galore.
