  1. Diamond Mind Baseball. Enough said, if you want accuracy. Not much on the management part, though (like OOTP)
  2. yep, me too. I thought it was very clever, although it may need a little bit more. Would the BF.net logo be on the back? or is this design on the back and the BF.net logo is on the left chest?
  3. I didn't want to start another thread, but isn't tomorrow's episode on an hour later or something? I seem to remember that. Or am I confusing it with some other Saturday's show? ------------------------------------------ http://www.brewerfan.net/images/icons/lock.gifLocked and superseded by the February 16th Talkin' Brewers thread: 2/16 Talkin' Brewers with Jim Powell 4-6PM CT WTMJ --1992casey ------------------------------------------
  4. I'm actually surprised that they have the Rays as a winning team, despite the 2nd lowest team BA in the AL. Heck, take away that stat and I'm STILL surprised that they have them as a winning team.

  7. I enjoy racing on my Nascar videogame along with the season. That's about it. I can't stand to sit and watch a whole race. Although, I guess I've watched the end of some races before. Oh, and I'm in a fantasy racing league on ESPN with a buddy who IS a big NASCAR fan and I feel kinda obligated to do it, since she does the NCAA Hoops Challenge with me.
  8. on the woot site, click "community", I believe, to see previous woots. I actually, for the first time, got to the "order" page when the BOC came up, but the dang server would be too busy and then it was sold out. Close, but no cigar.
  9. Hoosiers does it for me many times, as does Animal House (but for a completely different reason)
  10. wow, this entire thread is WAY over my head! Suffice to say, Brian, I am looking forward to your new arrival, er, site.
  11. I bought the binoculars. I kinda could use a "nice" set with a decent zoom. And it works on a tripod.
  12. wow. a whole $1000 a month, on average. Why. golly gee oh whiz. That's . . . .let's see now . . . carry the 1 . . . about $12,000 a year! That's almost above poverty level! I realize he's a student and it's probably a nice way for him to make some money. But he's wasted a lot of money buying the boxes of unopened packs to begin with. And, sorry, I'd rather open a pack for $3.00/pack (or whatever they go for now) and be lucky to pull an autograph card (ALWAYS makes for a good story) than buying one "pre-packaged" with the card that I want. Where's the fun in that?
  13. that's what I thought he said but the wife and I weren't sure.
  14. well, tonight's episode was definitely interesting. the only problem was that, with the thick accent, I couldn't quite make out what Sayid said at the end of the episode right before Ben said, "Good." I'm loving it. Gives me a good edge of my seat vibe. Plus, it's still better than any reality crap.
  15. ah, thanks kaukauna. I was trying to figure out who Little T and One Track Mike are. Now I know. They're somebody I've never heard of (or 2 people that have never been in my kitchen). Could you elaborate for us non-VU radio community people? Thanks.
  16. welcome brewerfan0425! Hope to see you around the boards!
  17. Yes, this was a fantastic article. And not just because I'm a Brewers fan. Gotta feel for Hoffman. He is a class guy and very down-to-earth and funny. I've always respected him because when you listen to him talk he is just like you and me. Never mind his money or his job--he is like a buddy you hang out with on a Sunday watching football or go out hunting/fishing with.
  18. I believe that I read that Dempster was going for a spot in the rotation this spring. I also shrugged off the article to "Cub hubris", which, when you think about it, is an oxymoron.
  19. I know that times change and society changes, but I still find it incredible that high schools have to have security and/or police presence. Oh for the days when the first line of defense was the school janitor. (note: I am not bashing schools for security. I know that in this day and age it is necessary. I was just waxing poetic about my past for a second.)
  20. I've never heard of a machine not accepting your vote for this. Is this new? Is this on the new computerized booths? edit: And. . . . . I'm a dumbknob for not reading the whole thread first. My apologies.
  21. I'll admit that I do kind of miss the games with the AL teams that I grew up watching. But I enjoy NL style ball many times over. To me, it's more of a thinking man's game with NL rules. Yeah, I could do without the pitcher batting but that would take away double switches and stuff that I like (bunting--a good bunt is a thing of beauty). But, yeah, the DH can stick it. Even in the days of Molitor DHing I wanted to see him play defense. And Ortiz and other present-day DHs should be able to play in the field, too, since conditioning is so "advanced and specialized to be a year-round thing for athletes."
  22. that on Tuesdays after work it takes me about 2 or 2 1/2 hours to read all my bookmarks. Most days, 45 minutes tops. TMQ and other stuff just updates on Tuesday so I read it all in one sitting. At least TMQ is done until Draft time and then until August.
  23. KOTOR is a great game--so I've heard. It's still sitting in my box 'o games to play. I really enjoyed the Clone Wars on Cartoon Network (although I have them in DVD form). I don't know about going to see them in a theater when I can wait to see them for free on TV. But 30 episodes (or more) is quite the haul for this SW fan. My brother is about 100 times more into Star Wars than I am so he'll probably pass out when he finds out.
  24. College life is much better than high school life. Just the other day, I spent a good half hour daydreaming about things I did in college. Oh, and none of it was related to actual schoolwork or classes.
  25. pneumonia-type coughs and lack of sleep it provides me.
