  1. Feeling almost as if, 9 wins clinches a playoff berth in the NFC after today. Meaning Arizona, Tampa and GB clinched today.
  2. Minnesota had all 3 Timeouts. It's the wrong call. Detroit needed another 1st down if they converted to run out the clock. Just because they hadn't won a game this season doesn't make it a good call. They lucked out in to a win by Minnesota's (prevent D] allowing Detroit to get 8yard chunks easy in under 12 secs a pop. Any extra clock run before their TD would have forced Detroit in to a Hail Mary play. Think the final score has your heads agreeing on it being a good call. Detroit loses and you see my point. To above. Det would have punted in a dome with 2 Timeouts remaining. Minnesota would likely needed at least 35yards for a confident chance at GW FG. That's a good yards to go for your defense to stop. And FG kicks aren't a given unless your Tucker. If Minnesota didn't have their Timeouts maybe I'd consider it a good (winless team play call) where the 1st down all but clinched the win.
  3. That wasn't even the worst play call. Earlier they had a 3rd and 10 from like the Vikings 34ish yard line and decided to run it because I guess they wanted a slightly easier FG attempt? Even though running it there basically says we want this drive to end and want no chance at a TD and there's also no guarantee that the running play gets them any closer to FG range. It was hilarious watching his introductory press conference because everything he said just screams these guys will run through a wall for this guy...until they realize he can't coach and then they'll wonder why they're running through walls for a guy that has no clue what he's doing. No way is going for a 4th down inside your 30yard territory up by 2points with less than 2:20 remaining in the game a better call than attempting to improve FG range on a 10yard 3rd down where percentages to make likely less than 20pct. They burned a TO and then burned the last following a Viking 1st down. Game is over if Vikings just kneel and kick fg like Bears did thanksgiving.
  4. Wow. How do you rush 3 and leave such a huge hole for a pitch and catch? Thanks Vikes. Hope they lose every game rest of season.
  5. So the lions threw this game. Who goes for it up 2 4th and 1 from Own 28yd line? Then QB proceeds to fumble and give ball instead at 21yd line? Lions did this vs Chicago on Thanksgiving.
  6. I checked baseball savant last night on Renfroe. He hit 31HRs last season. In their overview of HRs he would have hit at other ballparks, I believe AmFam had 35 or 36. But 2 stadiums. LA had 40 and Cincinnati had a whopping 42HRs. Overall a vast majority of Stadiums he would have hit 4-6 more HRs than what he finished hitting. We're talking basically having 2seasons of Binelas' upside today versus 3+seasons from now hoping.
  7. Let this sit for a moment before commenting. Gotta feel good about the change of bat while shedding some money. As somebody or few commented this team needs to strike with the pitching staff it has before we lose this maybe once in a lifetime opportunity. JBJ according to BRef had a -36 runs impact on Offense. Renfro had a +9. 45 runs over a season I think is worth 5 wins-Losses in the Pythogorean figures. Maybe even closer to 10? Wins. Binelas hurts losing but gotta assume more and better than Binelas comes back Milws way when these SPs are traded.
  8. He probably doesn’t want anything to do with SEC defenses. I wonder if he’ll retain Graham Harrell as OC? They have some history. They are both Texas Tech alums and Riley was the WR coach when Harrell was the starting QB. What is USC going to pay him? I was under the impression that the Pac 12 was falling behind in TV money and the overall revenue game. Riley has been rumored to LSU, although I think the administration there would be crazy not to go get Aranda back. LSU was paying Orgeron 9 million. Riley was making 7.6 million at Oklahoma. USC was paying Helton 4.8 million. Pretty disappointing that the media has hyped this guy and then he bails for another B-league when having a chance to go play with the big boys. Now if USC pays him 10+ million a year, then that's a different story. How long before Riley joins the NFL as a head coach? It may not matter all to much.
  9. It's late in the third up 19, it was the right call as you don't expect a 2 TD, 2 FG comeback for the Rams. I don't expect a 3TD 4th quarter while GB not scoring another single point.
  10. Really bad decision to go for 2. Lose a Timeout as can be expected when going for 2 after pick 6. The point when up 3 scores? Like what are you doing? Not scoring again in this game?
  11. Anyone watching using NFL APP? Is it really bad for you? Barely visual 30pct of the time for me.
  12. Didn't he do this earlier this season or was this last year a pointless punt giving up the game. He's got to be fired, you can't make the dumbest play call decision on a 4th and 1 down 2 scores having 0 faith that your Running game can't get you 1yard! omg I'm done for the night
  13. Okay, I couldn't figure out how they ran only 7 secs off the clock on a 10yard run without a timeout used. RB lost that game for Auburn...if they go on to lose. Add Alabama running a 12 play drive 97yards with no timeouts in 1:11 secs.
  14. Sure is fishy what is happening in Alabama game. did they just stop running the clock?
  15. Alabama has yet to cross in to Auburn's territory. Down 10-0. If that isn't losing voters, nothing will ever keep Alabama from the playoffs.
  16. There was more pass interference there then the one they called that bailed them earlier on 3rd down. So meh, another pick 6 coming?
  17. what a missed holding. Yikes. Yep went back what was a 9yard run from the 29 on 1st down would have been 1st and 20 from the 39. No guarantee they would have gotten a FG then.
  18. Alabama showing these playoff voters with what looks to be less than 100yard scoreless 1st half vs a 6-5 Auburn team
  19. The thing is... Milwaukee does have a need to think to the future. This is where the $2.1 million saved by letting Pina walk and bringing in Severino proves to be a false bargain. With Pina, you'd have continuity - and it would be an easy matter to have him serve as Feliciano's mentor while looking to deal Narvaez. But who mentors Feliciano now? Assuming 2022 is Feliciano in AAA, we're putting a LOT on that rookie for 2023, and we're probably going to let Narvaez walk as a free agent after that season (no chance to replenish the system with a prospect or two). Severino for the moment in 2023 when you pay his next Arb amount. That would appear the current status. It's no guarantee Feliciano even plays at the next level. The bat has some catching up to do to even become a 600+OPS. The future may be who they trade for next catcher.
  20. Neither team deserved to win. Right one won for the NFC. How Oakland didn't run away with this game the way the 2nd half began. Dallas was virtually playing defense then entire 3rd quarter. Not one defender looked tired. Maybe it had to do with the 30flagged timeouts and a 4hour game? Where Oakland turned dumb was this moment late in 3rd- 38secs were left in 3rd play clock had 35secs. You should be able to run the quarter out with any run. They throw it incomplete have 2secs left on clock and use a Timeout because we'll they messed up. Insert prevent defense rushing only 4 let Prescott manage to complete some passes(man he's bad) and this game of course goes to OT. Awful to watch. Refs bailed both teams in and out of series.
  21. Oakland deserves to lose this game. Defense prevent doing just that prevent you from winning. Terrible penalty called on center just a clown show.
  22. 3rd and 4. Cbs gave them 7yards. Not even trying to play jump the route miracle unt to win. Just gave the 1st would been better to let score td.
  23. It is a good signing for St. Louis near term, I don't know about long term. Matz has a 4-2 career vs Milw in 6 starts, I imagine he keeps the 2/3 win pct vs Milw. If you are trying to catch the team ahead of you in the standings, that is one way to do it in h2h.
  24. I suppose they could try to hang onto Severino, but note this is only a one-year deal. It looks like he's still arbitration eligible and under team control for 2023: https://www.spotrac.com/mlb/milwaukee-brewers/pedro-severino-18162/ I guess when an arbitration eligible player is non-tendered they don't lose their remaining years of arbitration? Yeah I'm pretty sure he's held to the arbitration years and he was non-tendered that made him a FA. If the Brewers are comfortable with him to pay what arb value sets him at for 2023. As to Briggs comment for Outlanders comment: I dont know that Id want a rookie being your #1 catcher for a staff Milw would possess. Familiarity and calling games has to take some onus there. Maybe Feliciano takes his place during 2022 as Narvaez' backup to take gain that experience. Let's just get through the offseason before overthinking 2023 today.
  25. Boy, you can dream fairly heavy that this works out as a goldmine RP. Savant shows he has scored well with a sinker and Giving up HRs was his downfall. So find a way to keep the ball low induce grounders with the sinker. I just don't know what his 2nd pitch to throw with it would be? He'll have at least 5 years of control if he succeeds. Oh and he's definitely got the platoon splits to suggest facing RHBs. Found this for 2019: Mejia was the Indians #18 prospect in top 30 "The latter(JC. Reference before cut out) finally made his full-season debut in 2018, impressing enough in low Class A to earn a spot on Cleveland's 40-man roster. (signed in 2013 with Francisco so that move protected on rule 5) Though the Indians didn't make Mejia a full-time starter until last season, he definitely has the attributes to stay in the rotation. His heavy sinker is a plus pitch that sits at 91-94 mph, touches 96 and helped him log a 1.5 groundout/airout ratio in 2018. His curveball and slider have similar potential, and he also has feel for using his changeup. Mejia is doing a better job of repeating his delivery now that he has grown into his extra-large frame, showing aptitude for commanding his breaking pitches as well as his fastball. He'll still have to prove he can handle a starter's workload after missing time last year with elbow soreness. If he can hold up, he eventually could fit in the middle of Cleveland's rotation." He was one of those confusing SPs where they rate well look: Fastball 55 Curveball 55 Slider 55 Changeup 50 Control 55 Overall 40 Scouting grades: Fastball: 60 | Curveball: 55 | Slider: 55 | Changeup: 50 | Control: 55 | Overall: 45 How do you rate 50 or above in all but then give an overall a 40-45? Also I'm not sure why there are 2 ratings in same but I assume first is preseason and 2nd midseason/end of season. I'm really good with this trade, the RP upside could be 8th inning setup. Edit add. The link from were I found the write up on Mejia. If you went 2019 top 100 prospects he didnt appear. If you went mlb top 100 prospects and moved the year to 2019 and Guardians top 30 he appears. https://www.mlb.com/prospects/2019/guardians/
