  1. Jose Capellan for Braves/Brewers was .06%
  2. Nervous for Burnes to start the 7th? Probably not but he’s under 100 pitches.
  3. Betting against Tallion seems like a great idea. Was worried when he started the game without allowing any hits through 5 IP.
  4. Curious how Twins fans feel about Carlos Correa’s contract.
  5. Great to retake the lead with two-out single by Monasterio!
  6. Tyler Black now with .826 OPS in 51 AB at Nashville. Keston might get bumped again.
  7. Houser done after 82 pitches. Megill in for the 6th. Megill with 13 pitches, yesterday.
  8. Get one more inning out of Houser then Uribe, Payamps then Devin? Maybe Peguero, since he didn’t pitch yesterday?
  9. How many more days does Wiemer stay on the 26-man roster? Seems like TT is the hot bat for awhile.
  10. Singleton returns with a bang with first homers since 2015 Happy for Jon
  11. Bickford! Gets out of the jam. Cubs make the case for why sacrifice bunting might not be a good idea. Sac bunt, strike out, walk, strikeout - game over.
  12. Phil Bickford on for the Mets, hoping to close out the Cubs. Inherited two runners with no one out in the 9th.
  13. Who do we send down to make room? Is it bad that Santana and Canha might be some of our weaker bats? I realize it has only been a week. I suppose Perkins can be sent down.
  14. Ben Lively taking one for the team in Chicago. The Cincinnati starter has allowed 13 ER on 13 H in 4 IP.
  15. 5-0 Cubs, still nobody out. Could be a long night for Cincinnati.
  16. Meanwhile at Wrigley, Cubs have two runs on three hits and a walk and still nobody out, bottom of 1st.
  17. Cubs have Cardinals, Reds, Braves and Mets the next four series. That should be a good test for Chicago.
  18. It is fun seeing Brent Suter listed among the more desirable players to be traded this week. 🙂
  19. MA is smart enough to understand ‘sunk costs.’ We paid Lorenzo Cain money to go away. I can understand the idea that Winker is an established professional hitter who may bounce back. It actually doesn’t matter how bad Winker has been for the past three months. We need Winker or anyone to simply be good for the next three months. That said, I’m willing to believe Milwaukee is keeping Keston off the 40-man roster until after the trade deadline.
  20. I cannot imagine the Brewers acquiring a truly game-changing bat via trade because I presume it would cost a lot of prospects. I like CJ Cron but is he a game changer?
  21. I agree that one game from Frelick is a small sample. Is there a compelling reason to play Tyrone Taylor over any of the other outfielders on the roster?
  22. Keston strikes me as a quiet personality. I can’t imagine him being disagreeable.
  23. Cardinals are winners of 5 straight and 8 of 10. I wouldn’t mind a Cubs win today to keep them well under .500.
