  1. I imagine Rhys prefers not to hang out in Nashville for two weeks.
  2. Do any of our left-handed batters get the afternoon game off?
  3. Unrelated note: our good friend Jason Alexander is pitching tonight for Houston. 2.56 ERA in five starts (6 appearances) for Astros.
  4. Tough lefty tomorrow in Abbott. I assume Siegler plays today. Vaughn could deserve a day off someday. Yelich wouldn’t likely sit today and play tomorrow. Ortiz doesn’t get days off typically. 🤷‍♂️
  5. I am surprised this is an August 15 news story. https://www.si.com/mlb/yankees/news/new-york-yankees-unlikely-resign-struggling-devin-williams
  6. For workload, I think it is common to limit a prospect’s innings pitched year over year. For instance, Mark Prior (Cubs) went from 116.2 IP in 2002 then pitched 211.1 IP in 2003 at age 22. That was probably too many innings for Prior. He was never the same after that season.
  7. I’m willing to believe an 88 degree evening with humidity plus nearly three weeks between starts for a 6’7” pitcher with persistent control challenges can cause walks without meaningful medical issue. 97.1 IP last year for Miz 98 IP this season If Miz is healthy, his workload probably slows from here on out. I’d assume we can keep him in Milwaukee Six more weeks until playoffs. Maybe Miz can throw 3-4 innings per week and still be available in the pen in October?
  8. Flesh wound! With park factors, a 7 run lead is like a one run lead 🤷‍♂️
  9. 100% playoff odds seems high for August 14 😬
  10. Was pumped when we signed him 🙂🤷‍♂️
  11. Looking at that box score, Sheets SLG was higher than BA. He had an extra base hit?? His 2008 injury was very sad at the time.
  12. 0-1 with -10 run differential. Home opener
  13. We all got a little nervous with Devin but this might not be true except for the short period during COVID. Devin’s ERA was an arrow pointing down and to the right after becoming closer.
  14. I highly doubt the # 1 television play by play person in the country (Anderson) has any reason to pick fights with Bill Schroeder. If Anderson is actually a diva, he would have left Milwaukee long ago. Fair observations on their separation though.
