  1. I should have gone with Skubal’s winning percentage has improved each year since 2020 since wins are all that matter 🙂
  2. Fascinating to see Skubal get incrementally better every year since 2020. 5.63 ERA 2020 4.34 ERA 2021 3.52 ERA 2022 2.80 ERA 2023 1.97 ERA 2024
  3. Having never seen Skubal pitch, I like our chances. We seem to be performing well in Detroit and could score just enough runs to be competitive.
  4. Burnes had 2.61 ERA in 38 IP in 2018. 8.3 K/9. 3.79 FIP Hall had 3.26 ERA in 19.1 IP in 2023. 10.7 K/9. 3.00 FIP Both were excellent during their post season debuts. I don’t think there was a tremendous difference between the start of their careers.
  5. If there was a survey on which pitcher wins a Gold Glove this year, wouldn’t it be Paul Skenes based only on hype? That is to say the Skenes brand name is 100x higher than Ortiz.
  6. 7+ WAR by age 25. Quite a regression.
  7. I appreciate Keston still uses the Brewers gear.
  8. How often do these early diagnoses result in anything other than surgery within 12 months? Not being pessimistic, just curious on other’s perspectives.
  9. Brewers win the trade.
  10. Since May 13, only the Mets and the White Sox have a worse record than the Cubs link
  11. Bet we get Junk today
  12. The Phillies have played 59 games this season. Six games against teams with a record over .500. That almost seems impossible.
  13. Or, is a win a win?
  14. Do we really want 30+ year old Adames, though? Turang and Ortiz are capable replacements. We’d be better off spending Adames money on pitching.
  15. Not sure if this was mentioned earlier but I’m glad we did not trade for or sign Benintendi
  16. Corbin Burnes was DL Hall before DL Hall? 🤷‍♂️
  17. Corbin Burnes had a 8.82 ERA in 2019.
  18. Brent Suter hasn’t even factored into a decision despite pitching 29 IP over 21 appearances. His record is 0-0.
  19. I love Ghostbear. He comes out of hibernation after a seven month absence with unexpected content.
  20. I most appreciate the computers thinking Colorado had absolutely zero chance to make the playoffs at the start of the year.
  21. He’s not missing a lot of bats with only 12 K in 21 IP at AAA-Omaha this year.
  22. Little question on how @treego14will construct his rhyming post today. Arrighetti will make his seventh career start after debuting last month. He has pitched much better at home (3.68 ERA) compared to his three road starts (12.34 ERA).
  23. Just 1974 with Green Bay. Had one rushing attempt for 18 yards. 🙂 https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/W/WalkRa21.htm
