  1. Junis was striking out 6.6 per 9 innings. I think he has a modest regression in Cincinnati. Also, Montas likely has a modest improvement in Milwaukee. I remember how disappointed we all were when we acquired Bryon Hudson over the off-season
  2. Junis’ FIP is considerably worse than his ERA 🤷‍♂️
  3. Blake Perkins has more WAR than Jazz this season. Sal Frelick has nearly identical WAR to Jazz this season.
  4. It is alright for this team to win 90+ games this year without buying or selling. We are one game behind LAD in loss column and PHI is 3-7 over last ten. I agree we are not favorites in the NL but we can have a good rest of July and still have ‘bite at the apple.’
  5. We hit Rogers pretty well back on 5/21. Chased him after 3.2 IP, 6 H, 4 BB and 4 ER.
  6. He also somehow didn’t draw any walks in 27 PA.
  7. .235 BABIP in LAA suggests some bad luck 🙂
  8. Hiura’s career WAR is 0.7. In that sense, in aggregate, he is better than a replacement level player. 🤷‍♂️
  9. In semi seriousness, would he perform worse than any other final person on the 26 man roster at this point?
  10. Cubs must really want this one by going to the closer in a tie game.
  11. 8-2 record. Seems like he knows how to win games
  12. Former Brewers radio announcer, Cory Provus (2009-2011).
  13. Civale has 3.97 ERA, 11 H, 14 K, 5 BB in 11.1 IP across two starts for Milwaukee. He pitched quite well against Pittsburgh on July 11. Ryan looks like he has been stingy this year. 3.53 ERA and WHIP of 1.00. However, he got roughed up a little in his last start on July 12 allowing 5 ER and season high 3 BB over 5.1 IP in San Francisco.
  14. Both Hoskins and Bauers are -0.2 WAR. do we just hope for better things in the second half?
  15. It makes me wonder if it would become a good side hustle to start a community blog on the page with headlines like ‘What Brewers’ Leadership Doesn’t Want You to Know About Keston Hiura’
  16. Milwaukee is on pace to win 93 games and has a five game lead in the division. Plus, we have a lot of talented players scheduled to return to the team soon.
  17. Despite all their trouble, they are only three games out of the wildcard. This will be a very interesting couple weeks for Chicago as it relates to the trade deadline.
  18. Good on Kansas City for taking both games of doubleheader against Cardinals today. Cubs head to Saint Louis this weekend. Cubs have won three straight including two game sweep of Baltimore and are threatening to climb out of the cellar.
  19. Batting cleanup, second baseman, #13 Keston Hiura. (tonight’s Angels/Rangers game)
  20. I’m hopeful the Royals can go into Saint Louis and take 2 of 3. 🤷‍♂️
  21. I’m sure chemistry matters. You can’t just randomly fire a manager or leader without unintended consequences.
