    Milner has been nice for most of his time in Milwaukee. He has -0.3 WAR this year, I think he would be ‘on the bubble.’

    Freddy could throw 6 IP and allow 2 ER, just like his last start against Atlanta.

    Freddy‘s last start on July 31 was six innings allowing 3 hits, 2 HR and 2 ER with 7 K against Atlanta. Sale went 5.2 IP allowing six hits, 2 ER with 6 K against us. It will be fascinating to see which pitcher improves or regresses the most compared to last week.

    I think it is alright for people to discuss the merits of whether it would be worthwhile to send a struggling 20-year old to the minors. It is also fine to be happy when the 20-year old dramatically improves. 🙂

    Speculation? Or, has he been announced. Montas is on full rest after his last start in Atlanta on 7/24. Only went 4.1 IP allowing 10 H and 3 BB.

    Junis was striking out 6.6 per 9 innings. I think he has a modest regression in Cincinnati. Also, Montas likely has a modest improvement in Milwaukee. I remember how disappointed we all were when we acquired Bryon Hudson over the off-season

    Blake Perkins has more WAR than Jazz this season. Sal Frelick has nearly identical WAR to Jazz this season.

    It is alright for this team to win 90+ games this year without buying or selling. We are one game behind LAD in loss column and PHI is 3-7 over last ten. I agree we are not favorites in the NL but we can have a good rest of July and still have ‘bite at the apple.’

    Hiura’s career WAR is 0.7. In that sense, in aggregate, he is better than a replacement level player. 🤷‍♂️
