  1. Most GIDP in one 9-inning game for Brewers is five. July 21, 2005 is most recent. Brewers won 12-7 over Cardinals Brewers had six GIDP in a couple extra inning games, too.
  2. 45.7% of Santana’s AB are ground balls in 2023.
  3. Adames fun fact: he has .482 OPS with 0-0 count in 2023 (49 AB).
  4. Dark horse prediction: Brian Anderson has an at-bat today.
  5. Does Perkins earn a 5th OF spot for playoffs?
  6. Donaldson 1.443 OPS (16 PA), Canha .981 OPS (22 PA) and Caratini 1.350 OPS (5 PA) have had success against Patrick Corbin.
  7. Would Burnes be upset that Caratini didn’t catch today? Would we rather have Caratini catch Burnes, going forward?
  8. Rockies might beat the Giants twice today. Reds, Diamondbacks and Marlins all have identical records as of this moment.
  9. I guess save the challenge for a possible higher leverage moment. Although, he probably was safe
  10. The most pitches I see in a 1 IP outing is Wade Davis with 69. However, he also faced 3 batters in his second inning of work. https://stathead.com/tiny/MGrWz https://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/MIN/MIN201306290.shtml
  11. Zach Davies facing off against Kyle Hendricks tonight. Two very similar pitchers. One with an ERA near 7, though.
  12. On May 22, Contreras should not have called for sinker down the middle 🙂
  13. Brewers are: 10-3 against Reds 3-1 against Marlins 4-2 against Phillies 5-5 against Cubs 2-4 against Diamondbacks 2-5 against Giants I guess we should cheer for Cincinnati and Miami?
  14. I am not interested in jinxing any Wild Card Series result. If we win the opening round, we will play the Dodgers. Milwaukee is 1-5 against Los Angeles this year. Brewers are 13-21 against the Dodgers since 2018 (regular season). They ended our seasons in 2018 and 2020. Dodgers have a great lineup. I’m less afraid of their pitching. https://stathead.com/tiny/WpGuR
  15. A place to discuss the exciting finish for the NL Wild Card spots. If season ended today, Brewers would host the Reds.
  16. For the excitement of how many rookies would contribute in Milwaukee in 2023, I was mildly surprised to see the Brewers have only used 7 rookies this year. Granted, many are getting meaningful playing time. The team record is 16 rookies in 2015. Ashley, Blazek, Centeno, Cravy, Davies, Goforth, Jungmann, Lopez, Peña, Perez, Peterson, Reed, Rivera, Rogers, Santana and Wagner. https://stathead.com/tiny/QBShl
  17. Who should pitch when Caratini catches?
  18. Caratini needs to catch for someone. If Corbin legitimately is more comfortable with Victor, it seems fine to me.
  19. Sure would be nice for Diamondbacks to beat the Cubs tonight. I like being up three games or more in the loss column.
  20. Next article: The Rise and Fall of Keston Hiura Threads, starting from when he was drafted to present day
  21. How does Treego rhyme against TBD?
  22. Four-way tie for the final wild card spot.
  23. I see Grienke has 0.3 WAR this year. Can’t be that bad 🙂
