  1. Thank you! That was me. Where did you find that information?
  2. I cannot imagine the Brewers acquiring a truly game-changing bat via trade because I presume it would cost a lot of prospects. I like CJ Cron but is he a game changer?
  3. Obligatory mention of Brewers owning the tiebreaker.
  4. I wonder what the catch probability was on the Frelick play.
  5. I suppose Winker ‘is due’ for a breakout. I genuinely believe Winker does not make it out of July on the roster. Squinting hard, he recently had some timely walks and singles but I can’t imagine keeping him on our playoff roster.
  6. I agree that one game from Frelick is a small sample. Is there a compelling reason to play Tyrone Taylor over any of the other outfielders on the roster?
  7. Lineup prediction: Yelich 7 Contreras DH Adames 6 Miller 3 Caratini 2 Monasterio 5 Frelick 9 Turang 4 Wiemer 8 Maybe try Jones at 2B today?
  8. Teheran with 9.37 ERA over past 30 days, three starts. He is not walking many batters but allowing many hits, lately.
  9. Frelick batting sixth, right field. Wiemer gets the day off.
  10. Does Wiemer have such an obvious replacement that would be an improvement? I’m fine with Joey batting ninth and running balls down in CF.
  11. Tapia has been below replacement level. Wiemer is above replacement level. Seems like the right choice.
  12. Keston strikes me as a quiet personality. I can’t imagine him being disagreeable.
  13. Winker has undeniably been below replacement level without optimism for improvement. On the other hand, our ‘replacement players’ are performing above replacement level. 🙂 Conclusion: Winker should be replaced.
  14. Cardinals are winners of 5 straight and 8 of 10. I wouldn’t mind a Cubs win today to keep them well under .500.
  15. I predict this is the beginning of the end.
  16. Could the CC quote be a dog whistle for removing Winker from the roster?
  17. Realizing how insignificant weekly power rankings are, I am curious where MLB.com ranks Brewers and Reds this week. Seven days ago, MLB.com had CIN at # 7 and MIL at # 15. MLB.com has been notably more bullish on the Reds and bearish on the Brewers. Sites like Bleacher Report and CBS Sports have been much slower to elevate Cincinnati on their lists. Bleacher Report now has Milwaukee at # 7, ahead of Astros and behind Dodgers.
