  1. I'd like an arm in the rotation who can trot out there every 5 days and give us a good chance to win a game. There's nobody in our rotation outside Jimmy Nelson that has any hope of being an ace, and i'm not even sold on him being one. If we are ever to take the next step we will have to find one of these ace types in the next year or two. Too many average youngsters right now...guys who you can look at and say "He's a nice player," but suited for a back of rotation role.
  2. Any trade that upgrades Scooter Gennett is a good trade.
  3. Imagine that...Brewers make a move and the armchairs immediately say it's wrong. You folks don't know the slightest thing about this guy, so maybe leave it up to the big boys to make the decision as to whether he'd be a good coach? Seems like the smart thing to do to me.
  4. Post-season aggressive slide? What slide do you speak of...the part where he runs upright into the base until the last 6 inches to take a guy out? Utley's reputation of dirty slides goes far beyond this particular instance.
  5. Plouffe is precisely the type of mediocrity we shouldn't be going after at this point IMO. I don't think it's out of the realm that they move Plouffe to 1b, Sano to 3b, and Mauer to DH either...sprinkling in a few starts at 1b.
  6. I think we may be a year early re- David Price, but in 1-2 years this organization needs to make one of these signings. Let the kids get a little older though first, then do what the Cubs did with Lester. Astros got lucky that Keuchel became a stud so they didn't have to sign one.
  7. If Counsell had implemented something like this there would be a riot on these forums.
  8. Morrison has played in 143 games so far this year. 2010 - 62 2011 - 123 2012 - 93 2013 - 85 2014 - 99 2015 - 143 The trend isn't on 2015's side. Either he's sucked or been injured every single season he's been in the bigs.
  9. So dump Adam Lind for picking up another Adam Lind, except he's much worse than Adam Lind? Might have to build a separate rehab facility for Morrison too he gets hurt so much.
  10. Guy is filthy...excited to see him get more experience. Delivery seems a little deceptive like Fiers was?
  11. Lind is 32 with back problems. You could maybe make the argument that we should keep him if we're good, but we're not and won't be for a few years, so add some prospects by trading him. Lind has played in 144/156 games. 2 of the past 3 years he has played 143 or more games (96 in 2014). He's on the verge of tying or surpassing his career best WAR season, with good splits across the board. Can we please put the injury issues to rest for the time being? Thanks.
  12. No. Just no.
  13. Haven't watched a game in about 2 months...there's nothing inspiring about this squad outside maybe Domingo Santana. I've been basking in the underdog Twins playoff run, which likely ended today. Cheering for losers is for losers...hop off the wagon & get back on in the spring. Sorry, that was a very politically incorrect thing to say. Hopping on and off bandwagons is pretty much the definition of being a loser when it comes to being a fan. I never quit being a Brewer fan. I just prefer to not live my life immersed in inadequacy and without hope. Try it sometime, it's not as bad as it sounds.

  15. Wren is absolute garbage. Man some of you folks have low standards...there is no reason to not sign people on short "prove it" contracts as we're rebuilding...it's more ways to try and strike gold on (formerly) proven vets or talent.
  16. Fairies and unicorns are flying plentiful I see.
  17. I'll take me some moar of Domingo Santana please....man does he have bat speed and power.
  18. Outfielders...we have them stocked to the hilt. Need 1B/3B prospects.
  19. LMAO when I saw Broxton blew the game. That feels oh so good.
  20. I actually like being able to afford decent seats...sooooooo Miller Park > Target Field. Miller Park is one of the most affordable places to go. The fact they decided against an exclusive padded seat area behind home plate was secretly brilliant. Hard to like a stadium when it swallows your wallet whole. Just have to know where to look i've gotten first row LF bleachers several times for about 15-20$ apiece. Going to one later in the summer in the first row on-field right off 1st base for $30 apiece.
  21. I'm a Brewer through and through, but i'm sorry...Target Field is 5 times the stadium Miller Park will ever be (and any other building aside from Yankee Stadium).
  22. You've been banned from attending games. Brandon Moss wears MC Hammer pants. I think he needs to go to ALL of the home games from here on in!
  23. Peterson is our savior in getting rid of Logan Schafer. That's important.
  24. If there ever was a young pitcher to deal right this moment for a bat (IE the Cashner for Rizzo thing) its this guy. I think we've seen what he is, hopefully another organization won't have seen it yet.
  25. Meh. What have the Tigers won despite their HUGE payroll? Anybody wanting Dombrowski is essentially saying they want Doug Melvin to stay here. Understandably the old owner who wants a world series before he passes on plays an impact on the decisions his GM makes, but I see no difference between the two. Melvin also makes quite a few "good" trades.
