  1. Yikes. Priester getting another start. I said 3 weeks ago, the team just needed to keep its head above water in April. They did that, sitting around .500. It is now time to get going. Throwing Priester out there is not the answer. I fear if this team doesnt get out of neutral I will be calling for some selling to occur in June.
  2. Ankle tendinitis. Woof. Just woof. That is all I have to say....
  3. This is right on. This roster has a ton of dead weight. Capra and Rodriguez should be to the wind asap. I agree in that I am not done with Priester. However, he needs more time at AAA.
  4. Also of note, Devin imploded again last night. The Yanks stuck him in to start the 8th up 3-1 against the Padres. In 2/3 of an inning the dude gave up a hit and 2 walks before being pulled. All three runs scored and the Yanks lost 4-3. If this keeps up, the New York faithful will have him tarred and feathered before 4th of July.
  5. If he were a pitcher, this would be bad. However, hitters progress a little more quickly. Since he missed spring training I am guessing he probaly needs 20 to 30 AB's. It seems like a alot. However, he could get that at AAA in 1 to 2 weeks. I would say there is a decent chance he is ready to go in early May.
  6. Me everytime I see this thread get bumped....
  7. Woof. So much for "he just didnt recover right from his outing..."
  8. Payamps getting DFA'd would be the easy move...
  9. This is right on. Honestly, it is kinda miraculous this team is keeping its head above .500 with the ridiculous injuries they have endured.
  10. I am guessing the Brewers are looking to see if they have the answer at 3b within the organization. If not, I think you see the crew looking to cycle through some AAAA/dumpster type guys before the trade deadline.
  11. These two are looking more and more like DFA material each day.
  12. Turang swings at ball 4, Chourio and Yelich whiff....woof...
  13. Brewer Hicklen DFA'd this am. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2025/03/brewers-designate-brewer-hicklen-for-assignment.html Saw him play quite a bit this spring. He was not inspiring to say the least.
  14. My guess is Peralta, Cortes, Civale, bullpen game, Patrick. The bullpen game would indeed by some combination of maybe Koenig as an opener (he did this last year), Alexander, Rodriguez, and Thomas. The Brewers pitching situation to start the year is frankly, very scary. Need Quintana, Myers, and Woody back asap. Those guys get ready by mid-May and the team isnt buried, we should be fine.
  15. I was there as well. It was a gorgeous evening in Phoenix. Beyond that. Yuck. Freddy was terrible.
  16. So Bauers and Monasterio make the team?
  17. Josh Hader is my Misiorowski comp. Dude was throwing 100 in the minors and the Brewers really really wanted him as a starter. They finally moved him to the pen and the guy turned into an elite closer. Not saying Misiorowski turns into Hader. Its just that the developement is starting to feel the same.
  18. Yes. Garcia was once upon a time a bigtime prospect with the Yankees. I saw him pitch a few weeks ago live against the Giants in Scottsdale. He pretty effortlessly dispatched 6 of the 7 batters he saw. If he puts it together at age 25 he could very easily be a "thing." Especially if the Brewers are a bit short or starters to begin the year.
  19. Spring training report here. I attended the game yesterday against the Giants in Scottsdale. Generally a stinker of a game. A couple positives to report: 1. Deivi Garcia was the positive of the game. Pitched two innings and made easy work of Giants minor leaguers late in the game. 2. Dunn and Durbin continue to hit the ball hard. There is clearly a battle for the 3b job.
  20. Frankly, Misiorowski looks a lot like Jacob DeGrom. He's a little taller than deGrom. But I still think there are enough similarities...
  21. The guy has a .404 minor league OBP (Elite). Add in speed, a good glove, and a tad bit of pop. I am just trying to figure out why the heck this guy was not on prospects lists. I guess because he has been a bit old for each level. He may not be a superstar, but I will take a Sal Frelick at 3b. Cheap, fast, good OBP.
  22. I highly doubt Durbin amounts to nothing. The guy has speed, a glove, and elite OBP skills. If even some of the OBP skills translate then he is a useful piece. Yankees fans are not thrilled with losing him.
