  1. Well, which instance of regression to the mean do we believe in today? Snell's stellar past 11 starts, or his career 0-2 record with an 8 era vs the Brewers? I know which one I'm going with.
  2. Remember 5-6 years ago someone in the transaction forum was wanting a Kevin Mench/Christian Yelich LF platoon? Nevermind the fact that Mench had been out of baseball entirely for pertnear 10 years. That one was something.
  3. Whenever I think of Larry Hisle I am reminded of Hisle Jr up at Minnesota missing the free throw with no time left that would have sent it to overtime. Really felt bad for the kid that day.
  4. That would be my guess as well. He's up for Arby's after this season. Already making $2.05M so I am supposing a non-tender is likely.
  5. The big thing is to wait a while before plugging it in if it had to tilt or lay down while moving it. Any time I have to move I wait a few hours before plugging in the chest freezer. That makes for a good opportunity to defrost it too.
  6. To the Giants SP today: "Don't cry now, don't you cry Don't you cry anymore, la, la, la, la Sleep in the stars, don't you cry Dry your eyes on the wind, la, la, la, la"
  7. I just hate the thought of anything good happening for chicago.
  8. That's why I was thinking Brewer HIcklen. If he never suits up for Milwaukee it'll be just such a missed opportunity.
  9. Fortunately for the Angels, they only have to pay him another $77m for his age 35 & 36 seasons.
  10. I seem to remember that after the broken bat incident, there was a lot of talk about it on tv and what not and then he did it more times afterwards but we'd all already seen his bat breaking trick and just wanted to see him get the bat on the ball instead.
  11. I was a Hamilton fan, and in later years I enjoyed him on the radio broadcasts. I wonder if he’d still be on the air had he not been taken.
  12. I was scrolling through the IGT and thought this was a treego poem that had fizzled out.
  13. Is there a better defensive CF in MLB right now? I suppose there's metrics to say yea or nay but It's hard to imagine anyone doing it any better than Perkins. There is tremendous value in that alone.
  14. Not quite enough of a raging boil for me. He remained coherent and succinct. I was hoping for a cussing rant like that cub guy someone posted here after Adames faked out Bellinger. That was comedy gold. However, it's still nice to see the cards in anguish.
  15. I had it in my head the cards had Goldschmidt under contract another year or two at $26m. Disappointed to see this is it.
  16. For me Fox has dodgers cards on so I can’t really comment.
  17. When the Brewers win the World Series this fall, will Snoop get a ring?
  18. He turns 53 tomorrow. I would have guessed older since I was still in high school when he first started with the Brewers.
  19. I couldn't think of a sweep in ATL but some research shows they pulled it off once in 2016.
  20. So instead of a warning moat, they'll have a warning race track?
  21. Shoutout to adambr for busting out a “soup pitched great “ reference tonight. Didn’t see it, unfortunately so that’s all I have. I’m back in the frontier and this site is borderline unbearable on mobile.
  22. Coleman Crow could be another one to dream on for next summer too.
