  1. One thing along these lines that you maybe would want to incorporate into this, is an archive of reillymcshane's Brewers Player Retrospectives from over the years. There have been some recent ones in the Front Page News sestion here, but there were a bunch of them done on the old bf.net, and they'd have links at the bottom to prior players chronicled. I always really enjoyed these, they are fantastic reads and discussions. But the old ones are elusive even in the search function.
  2. The last I read on Greinke was that he intended to pitch this season. I don't know what he's got left in the tank at this point. But he's a smart pitcher and maybe he could have some success with Milwaukee with their defense.
  3. I suppose. If they just keep up the pace and go 130-32, I'll be able to live with that.
  4. I was kind of hoping for Wilson to start the 7th, and then hopefully pitch the 8th also. Oh well hopefully the hitters can get a late lead back.
  5. Not able to watch live. Did they give him the silent treatment?
  6. Not that I heard either, but I may have missed it. Streaming the replay on mlb.tv was not going well yesterday, I'm not sure if it was on their end or on my internet's end, we had a heck of a blizzard out here on the coast last night. In any case, I thought Ueck sounded good and in good spirits. He did talk about how he'd been remaining in contact with team and personnel throughout spring training as well as when they were in NY. Didn't sound like he was going to be hanging it up.
  7. Record: 85-77 MVP: Yelich CY: Hall ROY: Chourio and Bob Gas Breakout: Aside from Hall and Gasser above, Frelick and maybe Ortiz HR Leader: Yelich All stars: Yelich, Contreras, Payamps Disappointments: Hoskins, Sanchez.
  8. Yup that's been my go to whenever Ueck is on the radio broadcast. Hope they keep that option. I'm told they used to also have the option of just stadium audio, I wish that would return.
  9. That possibility had not dawned on me. Maybe so. I want to believe Ohtani is on the up and up. These conflicting stories from he and the interpreter are causing me to have some doubts though. Something doesn't seem right.
  10. So after reading the latest, Ohtani says it was theft and that he never transferred money or had any knowledge of it taking place. I'm not wholeheartedly believing that right now, but let's just assume it's true. Then Shohei really needs to figure out how to look after his finances a little better. If someone else was able to transfer money out of his account and he didn't notice 9 transactions of $500k, that's pretty wild to me. Most if not all of us would never let anyone have access to our account, and would notice an unauthorized deduction of any amount.
  11. This must be incredibly frustrating for Mitchell. The guy deserves better luck than what he's had thus far in his pro career. Hopefully he keeps his head up, recovers and rebounds well and then has much better health in the future.
  12. I honestly wish he hadn't even suited up today.
  13. I love how they were just complementing the defense and showed the obvious foul on the replay. This is ridiculous.
  14. They're letting JMU get away with anything they want right now.
  15. I don't really buy that theory, I just love the memory of that game.
  16. What a horse crap foul call to give Kansas free throws after that block.
  17. One of these years I need to bring back my old tradition of taking time off for the opening round. Used to be such fun to have multiple tvs going, friends over, bloodies in the morning, wings for lunch. Now I just fill out a bracket and check after work. 7-1 so far...thanks Nevada.
  18. "People complain that pro athletes make a lot of money; but what they don’t understand is that we need a lot of money because we spend a lot of money." Patrick Ewing
  19. And the thing of it was, the storm that was anticipated ended up not really amounting to much of anything whatsoever, at least in Madison. So I was a little frustrated by it. I recall northern WI got absolutely dumped on from that one though.
  20. Last season. I was in town and Dad and I were going to go to that one.
  21. Now there’s a name I haven’t thought of in awhile. Used to be my go to when I lived off fish hatch in 01
  22. That was smooth from Chucky
  23. Wow what a win. Beat the refs without Wahl, Winter, Crowl. Just an absolute ballsy win. I am so impressed.
  24. This is what I'm hoping they are able to do, provided they can feel good about getting him up to, I don't know, 60-70 pitches. With the way Miley pitches, that should be good for about 4 innings, and I think that could be fine for a couple of starts with a planned tandem. Of course there's some risk in that, there always is.
  25. LeRoy Butler is another that comes to mind.
