  1. I wonder how much the fact it was bert they lost to yesterday played into the firing. I honestly wondered yesterday if he was about to get the axe. You can’t lose that game of all games, on your field, when it’s already not going well. Just my opinion but I wonder how bad boosters, W club, Mendota Gridiron or whom ever was calling for it after that.
  2. I’m so glad I had to work today now knowing how the game went. I was bummed to be missing it at the time. I’m just pissed that big doofus came and beat us.
  3. I recall a similar or perhaps identical shuttered window venting out a kitchen I worked in back in the college days. It was right by the ovens and I obviously didn't have to worry about the heat bills so I didn't address it. Here's what I would do once it gets to be wintertime, since you don't own the home: Cut a piece of foam insulation for an exact snug fit into the recessed area in front of the shutters. Close the shutters, coax the foam into place, tape the seams. Then cover it with your least favorite Yuniesky Betancourt poster. Remove in spring.
  4. This game was like when the dog starts doing that slow heaving and you try to get to it to take it outside or at least onto the linoleum floor but it avoids you and makes sure to throw up on the carpet instead.
  5. Yeah the bad feeling was more certainty when he came up with the bases loaded. That suuuucked
  6. I'm glad the bad feeling I had about Avi was wrong

  8. Yes this is my fantasy as well. Red cobras galore, tears everywhere. And I hope the final win comes off a FARTSLAM or something that really sticks in the craw of the red birds and their fans, too.
  9. Of course the pizza thread comes to life on a fasting day ? Now I just might have to make a trip to Moose's Tooth when I fly to Anchorage this weekend.
  10. From watching the highlights last night, the body language and feel of that Phillies team was not good. There's definitely some blood in the water...
  11. I didn't get to watch today but I sure wish I had. Lots of hits, lots of steals. Bullpen game, 2 guys didn't have much success, 3 were wildly successful. I had to spoil with the box score today. I think I'll go ahead and stream this while knowing the results. From the looks of it I need to watch this Perdomo outing and probably think about it a little.
  12. I see Bucky is 19 point dogs this week at OSU. Hopefully tomorrow they can find a way to cost the ohio betters.
  13. Yeah I tried for about 2 seconds on Tuesday when they were on TV and realized there's just no way I can do it. I was worried my body would be revolt and I'd be getting another look at my lunch. It would be like trying to root for ohio state or michigan.
  14. How about another former Brewer, Eric Plunk
  15. I bet Willy Adames felt slighted when he checked Brewerfanatic yesterday and saw he didn't get his celebration.
  16. That's the way a Brewers game is supposed to go! Love it!
  17. Woodruff has had so many great/perfect pitches tonight when he needed them. Absolute gem.
  18. That would have been a fun run to see in person.
  19. Correct they do not. I think only when there's been a #163 tie breaker, those did.

  21. Starting a thread for thoughts on the game today.
  22. That's been my hope for a while now. It may be petty of me, but whatever. I hold grudges in sports. I want nothing more than to be the team that ends the cards' season, and ends the careers of however many of them are going to hang it up. I want to see Williams strike out Pujols for the last out of the elimination game and leave him stuck on 699. I want to see thousands of crying red and white cobras.

  24. I assume you were talking about that Wong AB. For a moment after I saw it I wondered if Wong intentionally fouled it to get a strike and get the bunt sign gone. But it couldn't have been that, could it? He sure didn't bother much effort pulling the bat back though.
