  1. Exactly the same for me. That's great that we have a couple of adults on these forums. Question: Do either of you have families that you buy nice seats for? For starters, nice seats are anything lower than the Terrace Level and not in the Bleachers, IMO. I just checked the cheapest "nice seats" for an upcoming series against the last place Phillies. Loge outfield box= $40 each. Family of Four with ticket fees and parking would cost about $200. If you add in a meal or other in-game expenses your are talking about $300 to take a family of four to a Brewers game and sit in "nice seats".
  2. Personally I think Sonny Gray still has ACE potential. I think the A's will get quite the haul for him.
  3. God No... (sorry i forgot to elaborate)
  4. If I even attempt this, I always pick the back of a section that was obviously not completely sold. That way, you won't be in someones seats that paid for them. Your only risk is dealing with an Usher with "Mall Cop False Over-Confidence Authority Syndrome" deciding to bounce you from the section.
  5. That explanation makes sense. I've had people sitting in the seats I've paid for many times when I arrived at them. Never got upset or thought it was awkward. When I say "hey, I think you're in my seats" the folks just smile, get up and leave. I would just smile back at them and then sit down. We're all in this together, man.
  6. I'm always surprised at the amount of people I go to Brewers games with that refuse to sit in an open seat (even for a half inning) that they don't have the ticket for. For these people, they ABSOLUTELY CRINGE AT THE THOUGHT OF BEING ASKED FOR THEIR TICKET BY AN USHER. They have an unbelievable amount of anxiety over even the remote possibility of it happening, it seems. For some reason, it doesn't brother me one bit. I just politely leave the seat. No harm/No foul Anyone else have this same experience with folks?
  7. I agree that these fans will likely find a seat somewhere in Miller Park for all remaining home games. I think this promotion really shows that the Brewers are desperately interested in increasing their concession stand revenue. Funny thing is, there are many fans that will STILL stand in line for hours to get a $1 Uecker ticket for every game, rather than pay the extra $1.30 per ticket to take advantage of this deal. Only in Milwaukee...
  8. If anyone else has a sudden outbreak of Brewer Fever like I do, I thought this might interest them. http://m.mlb.com/brewers/tickets/info/ballpark-pass Pretty wicked deal. I believe that there are 13 home games in both August and September so that comes up to like $2.30 per game!!!! I think if I were a season ticket holder already for the Brewers, this type of deal being offered might kind of piss me off though. Thoughts?
  9. Tyler Cravy outrighted! https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2017/06/brewers-outright-tyler-cravy-select-rob-scahill.html Kudos to the Brewers front office for this Cravy move. This combined with Counsell's benching of Villar this week for not running out a double play really makes me think the Brewers youngsters are in good hands with Counsell/Stearns running the ship.
  10. Can't image their is much of a market for Aguilar. He doesn't have enough of a track record to warrant much of a return really.
  11. I agree with those saying that Hader would need to get stretched out before he could make a start realistically. Don't want to put him in a position to fail or worse, get injured.
  12. I just checked and Wilkerson is not on the 40 man roster. So my guess is they go with Jungmann, as he's been pitching well enough to warrent a call-up. Any slim playoff hopes the Brewers may have been harboring likely are circling the drain with this Anderson injury, IMO.
  13. Is Aaron Wilkerson already on the 40-man roster? If so, that would be a good guess.
  14. Kudos to Counsell for benching Villar the day after that inexcusable at bat on Tuesday. I agree that former Brewers managers may not have done this.
  15. According to this rumor, the Marlins are willing to deal relievers. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2017/06/marlins-shopping-adeiny-hechavarria.html I'd be really interested in acquiring RHP Kyle Barraclough. I think he could fit in nicely to pair with Jacob Barnes as quality setup men. What would it take to land him?
  16. Aroldis Chapman holds the record for most consecutive games with a strikeout for a reliever. 49 consecutive games set in 2014. http://m.mlb.com/news/article/89886334/chapmans-strikeout-streak-ends-at-49-games/
  17. Not many Milwaukee Brewers hold any records of the modern era, so it me, this is kind of a big deal! Knebel has to be a shoe-in as our ALL STAR representative at this point.
  18. I don't totally agree with this but if somewhat true than I feel like WAR (Wins Above Replacement) is being treated like the 2nd coming of Jesus. Current baseball statheads put WAY too much faith in that stat, IMHO.
  19. Can anyone remember the last time the Brewers won three straight games against the Cardinals? Seems like forever. That felt good.
  20. Way too much for a rebuilding team to give up for Kelvin Herrera. Relief pitchers can be fickle. Neftali Feliz was at a similar value level as Herrera is now just a few seasons ago and he fell off the shelf. Ortiz alone is too valuable to give up for Herrera, IMO. Controllable starting pitchers with a mid-rotation ceiling hold a ton of value for the Brewers. I could handle Phillips and someone like Jorge Lopez for Herrera, however.
  21. Not to be a reality check on the optimism, but I think in order to make the playoffs this year, the Brewers are going to have to win the NL Central. They are currently 6 games back of the 2nd wild card spot. I don't doubt that the Brewers look like at least the 2nd best team in the NL Central this season which is exciting, but do Brewer fans really believe that they will be able to hold of the defending WS Champ Chicago Cubs for the next 3 and 1/2 months to win the division?
  22. The Brewers 2017 first round draft pick will win more than 50 games as a Brewer, vaulting him past the great Scott Karl into the Top 15 of all-time!
  23. Probably just closer Corey Knebel. Chase Anderson has an outside chance. I would say Thames maybe would have a chance, but Goldy and Votto are locks and even Rizzo and Myers would likely be ahead of him in a loaded NL 1B position. Oh and Ryan Zimmerman. (good god I hope he's being drug tested as much as Thames)
