  1. This master plan flowchart always ends up with Jeff McNeil.
  2. There's a clearance rack at Walmart? I thought everything at Walmart was clearance... There is also a dumpster in back of the Walmart.
  3. This is way better than out last two signings.
  4. Tristen Lutz for Nolan Arenado Trades Value are equal but Rockies might need to kick in some cash, maybe $200 million, to facilitate the trade however
  5. So you seriously think the Pirates would accept a straight up Brice Turang for Josh Bell offer?* *Clarification Note: Neal Huntington is no longer the Pirates GM.
  6. When you take into account the 1B/DH market is over saturated with similar talent it is actually correct. You can laugh at the value for Bell but the free agent and trade market has more 1B/DH types than there is demand for them. The Pirates will be lucky to get one top 100 prospect for Bell in this market. A pretty comical take all around. In 2019, in 527 MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL at bats, Josh Bell hit 37 home runs with a .936 OPS Between 2017-2019, in 1025 CLASS A+ AND BELOW MINOR LEAGUE at bats, Tristen Lutz has hit 35 home runs with a .781 OPS And Tristen Lutz will not appear on any 2020 Top 100 prospect lists. In fact, I'm willing to bet that he won't appear in any Top 200 lists. Not many have been published yet, but he's not listed in Top 200 prospects on this list... https://prospects365.com/2019/10/21/ray-butlers-2019-end-of-season-top-200-prospects/ I would not be just me and the Pittsburgh Pirates laughing at a Tristen Lutz for Josh Bell trade proposal, but everyone in baseball.
  7. According the that site, it would take the Pirates almost 2 Josh Bells to land Tristen Lutz! lol
  8. It just occurred to me that most members of the 2018 Milwaukee Brewers Starting Rotation that took us to the doorstep of the World Series, somehow, are currently unemployed. RHP Jhoulys Chacin LHP Wade Miley LHP Gio Gonzalez RHP Jimmy Nelson Will any of this group even be guaranteed a rotation spot if they sign at this point?
  9. we are being told by beat writers that its close. the brewers or his agent hasn't said anything. I don't think we clearly know where they are in negotiations. i woudn't read much into the fact that this was reported 3 days ago and nothing has been official. I think the only thing that is clear is that the brewers are interested. Haudricourt was the one I believe that said that negotiations were intensifying today, based on his track record of never knowing anything, he has no clue and was going off of info from Friday. This is correct.
  10. I mean, do we really need Pina if we can just have Braun be the right handed side of the Catching Platoon? Maybe the Brewers will consider trading Pina to restock the farm.
  11. Wonder if they are floating this interest in García to get Kole Calhoun to take or leave their offer? Or at least circle back to him if he was their preference as a lefty?
  12. Someone sleeping with teammates wives is not a character issue I easily overlook, personally. The Tigers immediately traded him at the time, probably just to keep civility in the clubhouse. Don’t want any part of this clown.
  13. It's actually a pretty brilliant move IMO. They are basically signing Bumgarner to replace Ray, and in doing so, created/increased the nice trade market for Ray with all the teams that were interested in Bumgarner and missed out. They can keep their farm system stocked by trading Ray, while staying competitive by signing Bumgarner to fill his void. On a side note, I believe the Dbacks really fleeced the Marlins by acquiring P Zac Gallen for SS prospect Jazz Chisholm last year.
  14. I know the offseason is far from over, however, I firmly believe the Brewers will NOT be signing a top FA starting pitcher and don't have the goods to trade for the likes of Robbie Ray. This disappoints me the most. And I'm not delusional enough to think we had a chance to land Strasberg or Cole. Would have thought we could be players on a SP from the Madison Bumgarner tier, however. As a Brewers fan, if I would have told you at the beginning of this offseason that the only FA starters the Brewers would sign would be Josh Lindblom and Brett FREAKING Anderson, can you, with a straight face, tell me you would not have been disappointed too? I think not.
  15. Yes but IMO the Indians got close to nothing for Kluber. Hard for me to believe that the Brewers could not have beat that offer.
  16. Both past their primes and injury prone. Brewers are more in need of Donaldson's bat, IMO. No way we are signing either however.
  17. Which "major" Free Agent is left for the Brewers to sign exactly? I'd say Josh Donaldson is the only one left. Catellanos is an entire tier below him. We won't be signing either. Ryu and Keuchel are still out there but we won't be signing either of them as well. Who is left at the Brewers positions of need? 1B Eric Thames (33) Mitch Moreland (34) Neil Walker (34) C.J. Cron (30) Justin Smoak (33) Logan Forsythe (33) Ryan Zimmerman (35) Matt Adams (31) Greg Bird (27) Logan Morrison (32) Ryon Healy (28) Justin Bour (32) Cheslor Cuthbert (27) Mark Reynolds (36) Steve Pearce (37) Lucas Duda (34) Yonder Alonso (33) 3B Josh Donaldson (34) Asdrúbal Cabrera (34) Todd Frazier (34) Pablo Sandoval (33) Sean Rodríguez (35) Ryan Goins (32) Kaleb Cowart (28) Ryan Flaherty (33) Matt Duffy (29) Maikel Franco (27) Jedd Gyorko (31) Travis Shaw (30 Jung Ho Kang (33) Martín Prado (36) LF Alex Gordon (36) Corey Dickerson (31) Charlie Culberson (31) Rajai Davis (39) Domingo Santana (27) Rafael Ortega (29) Joey Rickard (29) Peter Bourjos (33) Carlos González (34) Matt Kemp (35) Curtis Granderson (39) RF Nicholas Castellanos (28) Kole Calhoun (32) Avisaíl García (29) Cameron Maybin (33) Yasiel Puig (29) Matt Joyce (35) Jorge Bonifacio (27) Adam Jones (34) Melky Cabrera (35) Jon Jay (35) Lonnie Chisenhall (31) Steven Souza Jr. (31) SP Hyun-Jin Ryu (33) Dallas Keuchel (32) Homer Bailey (34) Wade Miley (33) Iván Nova (33) Andrew Cashner (33) Jason Vargas (37) Julio Teheran (29) Gio Gonzalez (34) Rich Hill (40) Aaron Sanchez (27) Matt Moore (31) Pedro Avila (23) Clay Buchholz (35) Tyson Ross (33) Félix Hernández (34) Jhoulys Chacín (32) Jeremy Hellickson (33) Alex Wood (29) Edinson Vólquez (36) Marco Estrada (36) Shelby Miller (29) Clayton Richard (36) Drew Smyly (29) Wade LeBlanc (35) Matt Harvey (31) Héctor Noesi (33) Ervin Santana (37) Ross Detwiler (34) Trevor Cahill (32) Edwin Jackson (36) Stearns can pick any uninspiring player off this list and we will explain to ourselves how it was a master stroke of genius.
  18. Breaking News: The Brewers will not be signing someone major.
  19. Funny how a lot of Brewer fans like to rationalize any bottom of the barrel player the Brewers decide sign as completely justified and borderline brilliant.
  20. Nope...Brewers couldn't have met or exceeded this?? They very easily could have. I assume that he had too many red flags for the Brewers to consider at this point, because the Indians practically gave him away if that is all the return is. I’m guessing that Kluber had more red flags then Brett Anderson.
  21. Isn't this the guy that was cheating on Prince Fielder's Wife in Detroit? Great Teammate! https://www.inquisitr.com/1231597/why-did-the-detroit-tigers-really-trade-prince-fielder/ Despicable.
  22. The Brewers are done signing FA starters this season and you guys all know it. 5 spots left on 40man and we still need: 3 1B/3B 1 RP 1 corner OF
  23. It's upsetting because it's a waste of a 40 man roster spot that should be going to a better player.
  24. Brett Anderson is a journeyman back end starter that doesn't miss bats and is fragile as tissue paper. Where do I sign up?
